Nascosto dietro le porte di quercia vicino a L'Eglise Notre Dame a Veniers, a 3 km da tutti i comfort della città medievale di Loudun. La Maison Tumtum Arbre è una deliziosa casa per vacanze indipendenti per un massimo di 2 persone. Rinnovato sensibilmente a un livello elevato nel 2017, i fusti originali di querce e le pareti in pietra tuffeau si combinano con il design moderno per creare uno spazio incantevole, perfetto per un comodo ritiro e base da cui partire per esplorare la Valle della Loira, "il giardino della Francia".
Il pianoterra a pianta aperta fornisce una cucina ben attrezzata e moderna, tra cui un forno a microonde, un forno a microonde, un frigorifero, una lavastoviglie, stoviglie, posate e attrezzature per la cottura, complice di piani di lavoro in granito. La zona pranzo e salotto con WiFi, TV satellitare HD e DVD conduce a porte a due porte che si aprono sulla terrazza e all'aperto. Tavolo all'aperto, sedie e lettini prendisole. Per la stagione invernale viene installato il riscaldamento elettrico.
Una scala in legno conduce alla suite al primo piano, dotata di un letto incorniciato in rondella dotato di lenzuola di cotone egiziano bianche croccanti; c'è un comò con specchio, asciugacapelli, armadio e divano. La stanza da bagno con doccia include un box doccia a pioggia, lavandino e wc. Sono disponibili asciugamani per uso interno ed esterno. La suite dispone di pavimenti in legno e di un muro in pietra.

This property is outstanding, pictures don't do justice to such a fantastic place to stay. Hosts Pam and Steve have thought of everything and then some more. Such a friendly welcome and just enough information not overload. We felt so relaxed and really loved our 3 nights.

Pam and Steve were wonderful hosts, the gîte was perfect - arty, well-equipped and cosy - and the location great for exploring the Loire/Vienne sites. Thanks for your warm welcome!

Hidden behind a large double gate, next to the church, this property exceeded our expectations. We found the descriptions to be accurate and the furnishings and fittings are all very high end. The stairs to the bedroom and ensuite are necessarily a bit steep and if we had one minor gripe it wa that the fridge is small so if you are self catering rather than eating out then perhaps shop accordingly for your arrival.
Although thee are no amenities in Veniers, Loudun itself is a short drive away and may make for a pleasant stroll although it was too hot to test this theory during our stay.
There was shade to be found throughout the day in the private courtyard in the fabulous gardens.
The hosts were very approachable and full of useful information and thee is a microbrewery on site offering 3 distinct brews.
Chinon, Saumur and Fontevraud are short drives away, we particularly enjoyed Fontevraud.
We have no hesitation in recommending this site to everyone. We aren't in the habit of returning to places but if we were we would happily revisit La Maison Tumtum Arbre.

très agréable séjour
Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans ce gîte très confortable et très calme., à une demi-heure de voiture de nombreux sites. Nous avons pu visiter Fontevraud, Chinon, et faire du vélo le long de la Loire. Le gîte est confortable et décoré avec goût, le jardin est très agréable aussi, Pam et Steve sont des hôtes accueillants et disponibles.. Merci à eux.

Excellent séjour dans un très joli gîte en pierres
Nous sommes tombés sous le charme de ce joli gîte magnifiquement rénové, tout confort, très bonne literie, très propre et bien au calme.
Sa situation nous a permis de visiter de nombreux châteaux (Azay le Rideau, Chinon, Rivau, Ussé, Saumur...) sites troglodytiques et de découvrir cette belle région.
Les propriétaires sont adorables, discrets et ont été très soucieux de notre bien être.
Nous recommandons avec grand plaisir cette excellente adresse.

Séjour Val de Loire
Maison très sympa, bien équipée et on a droit à une bonne bouteille à nôtre arrivée, toute les explications au fonctionnement des divers équipements, et beaucoup d'informations sur les sites à visiter dans la région, et des propriétaires très gentils, en bref, tout pour passer une excellente semaine

Un séjour très agréable
Le gîte correspond exactement à l'annonce.
Il est très confortable et arrangé avec beaucoup de goût (et quelques clins d’œil à Alice au pays des merveilles).
Calme, à la campagne et à proximité du centre historique de Loudun, de l'abbaye de Fontevraud, de Chinon, de la maison de Rabelais,etc.
Les propriétaires sont accueillants, charmants tout en demeurant discrets.
Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable, entre farniente sur la terrasse et visites aux alentours.
Nous le recommandons sans hésiter - pour un couple - et y reviendrons probablement.

Très beau gite au calme et proche de nombreuses visites.
Les propriétaires Pam et Steeve sont très accueillants et discrets a la fois. Les photos sont totalement conformes : beaux éclairages intérieurs a la nuit, cuisine bien équipée, décoration très soignée et plein de plaisirs sur la qualité des draps et serviettes!
Les châteaux classiques sont proches mais j'avais pour projet des "secondaires" a 2 pas ; Oiron, Montreuil-Bellay ... et Saumur, le cadre noir,.. belles destinations a faire, et a refaire!
Pour les amateurs de fromages de chèvre, vente directe producteur juste a coté du gite ; merci a Pam et Steeve pour cette bonne adresse!
Je vous recommande ce beau gite!

Dit is een prachtige rustige plek naast de kerk. Mooi gerestaureerd huisje met moderne badkamer. Hebben hier genoten.

Pam and Steve's Gite
We were really impressed with the property. It is a beautiful place for a couple. The gite had everything that we needed. Pam and Steve were the most considerate and welcoming of hosts and gave us information about the area. It is a very easy journey into Saumur and Chinon.
