This house is amazing. The views from the back patio and deck are phenomenal. The photos look great, but in person is a million times better! We saw terns, schools of mackerel, fishing boats and all sorts of weather, from gorgeous sunsets to a crazy storm that turned the ocean red from the cliffs. If you venture down to the beach area, you will find all sorts of really cool rocks and sea glass to collect! We had good luck with sea glass right at the house and a little north at Mimenegash beach on harbor road. My family and I went for just about two weeks and loved every minute. The house is on the quieter side of the island and that was perfect for us. We were able to go out and do fun things but also just relax and enjoy the space. Dave and Nancy were easy to work with, very quick to respond, and left a kind note and jar of homemade jam at check in. One thing to know is that other reviews share that the kitchen is well stocked, and it IS very well stocked with kitchen things like dishes, appliances, utensils, etc. Other houses I have rented in the past had things like a small collection of spices, oil, etc., and I made the assumption that those would be there. That is completely my fault/assumption, but know that you may want to bring a basic cooking kit if you plan on making meals. I 100% recommend this house and I very much hope to go back in the future. The pictures of this house do not do it justice! What a beautiful home with a fantastic view! The home was very clean and nicely laid out. The host Dave was great and quick to respond when we reached out to him. We were four adults (2 couples). Would highly recommend this property.
