The Coral Cottage, giustamente chiamato per il suo colore esterno spiaggia, si trova a due passi dalla riva del fiume. Clean, cozy, quiet and quaint. Such a cute cottage. Great little friendly town. We had a great time. Used a golf cart for transportation. We loved it.

We absolutely loved our long weekend at this beautiful cottage. It is clean and absolutely gorgeous inside - perfect for 2 people. The location is excellent - close enough to access everything with a golf cart and yet also a very quiet location as it is kind of at the "end" of the whole colonial beach waterfront location - if that makes sense. We were slightly disappointed to find out all of the docks in the images were private and not accessible but that didn't hamper our stay at all! Would definitely suggest adding to the listing that if you want to rent a golf cart you need to reserve one ahead of the time or you will likely not be able to rent one as none will be available. We also noticed the 2 large burners on the stove do not work, but it wasn't a big deal. The owner is very nice and is very accessible if you need anything. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better place to rent and will most definitely be renting this cottage again. Thank you so much! (Oh- and bring bug spray! mosquitos are crazy out there)

I recently stayed at a charming cottage in the friendliest town, and it was an exceptional experience. The host was incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home. The cottage itself was spotless and comfortable, providing a cozy and relaxing environment. Communication with the host was excellent, and the lack of a cleaning fee was a huge plus. This place is perfect for a quiet getaway! Perfect location! Got up and watched the sunrise our first morning there. A little less than a mile walk to restaurants and the beach. One recommendation is if you are going to rent a golf cart do it ahead of time. There are bicycles there to ride also. The front porch has a little table and chairs that face the water. We sat out there one evening and had a glass of wine. So peaceful you could hear the water. They have a book inside with menus and a map to help you navigate. John is very informative and helpful! We will definitely return.

The location is great, the sunrises are spectacular, even breathtaking.
We were surprised to learn after arriving the unit only has a 20 gallon water tank, the owner warned us "not to take two baths back to back or one would get a cold shower". Honestly, the mattress really needs upgrading, it sinks to the middle, so bad in fact, it is difficult to get out in the morning.
I will warn you the heat pump out door unit is outside the bedroom window and makes a very loud noise the entire time it is running, we turned it off at night so we could sleep.
The location is great, if the owner would spend just a little time and a few bucks this place would be a 5 star!.

This is a very cute property right across the street from the river. It has a laid back and casual vibe that makes you feel very comfortable and relaxed. We kept finding amenities to make the stay even more special; binoculars in the window to check out whether that bird on the water was a pelican or a swan .( It was a swan), just about anything you would need in the kitchen, beach chairs, plenty of towels, etc. Absolutely the best stay I have had at a VRBO. The host is very gracious and welcomed us to our stay and showed us around the home and explained where everything was. If you are heading to Colonial Beach, be sure to stay here.

I recommend the cottage highly. My spouse and I had a great October stay of several days. John was a great host, being very helpful and available but not intrusive. The cottage was spotless and comfortable, and everything was just as described. And the views of the river were indeed great!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cottage! Despite the hubbub going on with Bike Fest our nights were quiet & peaceful. We loved waking up & watching the boats in the river. I really enjoyed the view while I had to do some work while at the cottage. We would choose this cottage again if our travels bring us to the area again!

Beautiful direct view of the Potomac river sunrise and sunset equally tranquil. Quiet area easily accesses downtown Colonial Beach. The owners pretty much anything needed or forgotten covered inside the lovely adorned cottage.

Great Views
Nice neighborhood, cozy cottage, would have liked to have seen some of the waterfront foliage trimmed down to take advantage of the view. Additionally the 20 gallon water heater was less than convenient. All said though John was great to work with and we had a wonderful stay.

Exceeded expectations
My wife and I had the most wonderful time staying in John’s cottage. We already had high expectations after seeing the photos and reading the other reviews, but found ourselves still impressed by how beautiful the cottage was and how lovely Colonial Beach is to vacation is. Every detail is considered at the property and the house was fully equipped for our stay. Communication was easy and John is an excellent host. Will definitely be coming back!

A Perfect Getaway
I'm a bit hesitant to give this property a 5-star review since then EVERYONE will want to stay here and it'll be booked all the time! It is the perfect waterfront cottage for two! I sat on the porch and drank my morning coffee each day, and then worked on my laptop for a majority of the day (great wifi!). We rented a golf cart and used that to go to dinners, etc. - super easy and fun, and we never had to use our car.
Also, we way overpacked. ANYTHING you need is already at the cottage - from dish detergent to coffee filters to shampoo and conditioner. We even had brought our standing fan since we like to sleep with it on, only to find out there was a fan in the closet.
The owner was very friendly and easy to reach, and check in and check out were seamless.
This property is in a great location, and an excellent value. And you can't put a price on those sunrise views from the front porch! I can't recommend this property enough. We will definitely be back!
