If you arrive expecting an expensive resort then you will be dissappointed (however, they can arrange extra things for you if you want). It is essentially renting out a clean spacious house and rooms with a garden, kitchen, living room, dining table, downstairs/upstairs bathrooms and washing machines, etc. There are minor issues here and there (i.e. sometimes WiFi being tempremental, some minor stains/faults, etc. but nothing to cause alarm). It is incredibly safe, secure and quiet and is in a small residential area with fantastic people nearby to welcome me and help with any issues I have (including driving me to the doctors when I hurt my foot). If you are staying here I recommend that you rent a car as otherwise it can be a trek to get to (or expensive by taxi). It is also the perfect base to use to drive around Mauritius. The key draw is a private access to the Wolmar Beach that is literally a minute away. However, to go for a nice swim it is best to walk another 5 mins along the beach. I went during the winter period and at times pretty much had the whole beach to myself except for a couple of staff from the resorts, one or two people, etc. It really amazing and for the price - there is nothing else in the same league at all. I would say that for the house alone, but the private access to the beach and the amazingly helpful people makes it truly unique!

Anil was such a great host, he was always available to help us and arrange things for us and he shared a lot about life in Mauritius. The villa is well equipped and in a quiet location with easy acces to beach, perfect for a family of 4-5. Just keep in mind it is located a bit outside of Flic en Flac center of activities (except for the beach, you need a car or taxi to go anywhere).

Very nice house in good location, close to biggest island attractions. Inside was clean, many household appliances were new, housekeeper provided us basic equipment but also washing and cleaning products, some snacks and drinks. A big advantage was quiet private beach, without crowds, cleaned by nearest hotels owners. It was possible to use 3 kayaks without any additional charge. Host was very kind and helpful. I recommend this place.

The only one disadvantage was intensive smell (probably of some insects killer) felt in house at the beginning.
