Casa de Carrapatelo

We stayed in the one bedroom house which was lovely and had everything we needed and we liked the privacy of being separate from the main house. There is a fantastic view from the front door and garden. The main bed and breakfast house is beautiful inside with a huge living room and kitchen. We were able to sit outside on the lovely sunny patio for breakfast. Breakfast consisted of bread, cheese, ham, fruit , cereals, jams, cakes etc which was lovely with plenty of choice. The grounds of the property are beautiful and we enjoyed the lovely pool to cool off after long days exploring the area. The 2 girls working at breakfast were so lovely and friendly. The village itself has a few shops and restaurants but was like a ghost town each time we walked through. We ate at Tasca do Zéquinha one day which we loved and would have gone back again if we'd had more time. We had a car but only used it 1 or our 3 full days as we preferred to walk (we walked miles !). The whole area in the Douro valley is full of jaw dropping scenery, just amazing. We visited Quinta de S.Bernardo twice for lunch, and included wine tasting one of the days. We enjoyed that experience so much and the location is stunning. We would highly recommend this bed and breakfast and the whole area and would stay here again if in the region. We flew to Porto, stayed there for 3 nights then hired a car and did the very easy drive to the Douro valley for 4 nights. Amazing !

The place was beautiful and the staff extremely nice. Dona Fatima is supper attentive and made the stay extra special. The room was spacious, the bed super comfortable and the area quiet. The property itself is really well kept and gorgeous, with really nice views! Close to enough to walk to the centre. The breakfast was tasty and the kitchen space had all you needed in case you wanted to cook.

It's a very quiet place. The staff are very hospitable. The kitchen is very well equiped as well. The bedroom and bathroom were very spacious.

The bedroom heater was not working.

Tutto molto bello, abbiamo soggiornato2 notti in 5 utilizzando tre camere. Le camere sono grandi, accoglienti, pulite e con bagni molto belli. Gli spazi comuni sono altrettanto grandi, comprendono una sala, una cucina molto attrezzata e ben organizzata, la,piscina e un bellissimo giardino. La colazione è servita negli spazi comuni ed è molto abbondante. Il,personale è molto gentile.

Ci è piaciuto tutto. Molto consigliato.
