Fabulous condo in Niguel Beach Terrace. Very modern, comfortable furnishings. Well equipped in kitchen, living room and bedrooms. Great cabinetry throughout with more than ample storage. Loved the island for dining. Easy and fast communication with the owners. Highly recommend this condo. We will return on our next visit to Dana Point.

This Condo is wonderful.The location is amazing, across the street from Strands Beach. There are a lot of stairs to get to the beach but we used that as our daily workout!The layout is very functional with 2 patios off the bedrooms and also accessible from the kitchen and main room. It was recently renovated and it is beautifully done, with attention to many details. (overhead fans that work amazing, self closing cabinets, lights that dim, etc.) The kitchen has new appliances and all the pots/pans/cooking utensils you need. The bathrooms are beautifully done.The condo has a washer dryer and closet organizers in each bedroom.The only thing we would change is 2 single beds in the second bedroom vs a queen and bunk beds, but that is just our preference since we only had adult children visiting during our stay.We stayed for the entire summer July, Aug, Sept and hope to come back next year for at least part of the summer.Todd is very accommodating/ good communication and even provided house cleaning twice during our stay

The beds were super comfortable! We loved the location and community. The beach was walking distance, we went almost every day. My kids loved the pool and hot tub every night. We will definitely stay again!

We stayed at the Sand Dollar for one week. My decision to stay at The Sand Dollar Condo was based on good reviews and location. It is a small comfortable condo.
Most earlier reviews are accurate.
The owner was very accommodating in expediting the contract process.
However, I would like to add the followings based on my stay and experience :
When we checked in the place smelled like someone had Salmon Fried for breakfast. I contacted the owner he asked to open the windows and if the smell does not disappear he will send the cleaning crew. I went out and bought odor eater spray which masked the fish smell. The owner has kindly reimbursed me for the cost of odor eater.
The most annoying problem , thus the 3 stars , was the constant grinding fan noise from the mechanical equipment outside next to the second bedroom . I had this bedroom and the noise would wake me up several times during the night. It is not a problem during daytime. I informed the owner about this issue but did not get a response. The sound insulation between first and second floor is not that great, I could hear the second floor tenants as soon as they woke up in the morning. Other than that it is a nice small condo unit on the ground level
