Minuti di casa rustici tranquilli, pacifici, moderni dalla città ma lontani da tutto. Ascolta la natura sul ponte mentre guardi il sorgere del sole, quindi vai a fare un giro in auto verso il centro di Waynesville, il Blue Ridge Parkway o un breve viaggio in auto per trascorrere la giornata ad Asheville. La nostra casa è dotata di una cucina completa, sala da pranzo, soggiorno e due camere da letto matrimoniali. Il livello inferiore alla luce del giorno comprendeva una TV, un tavolo da biliardo e un tavolo da gioco con 4 sedie, un futon a due letti e lavatrice e asciugatrice full size. Godetevi la stufa a legna nella camera familiare in inverno. Siediti sul ponte la mattina o la sera e rilassati completamente in un ambiente naturale. Splendida vista tardo autunno / inverno sulla città e vista sulle montagne a lungo raggio. Molto da fare nella zona, il meleto Barbers, i festival, il Cataloochee Ranch e lo Ski Lodge sono raggiungibili in 30 minuti di auto. Osservazione degli alci nella valle di Cataloochee, numerosi sentieri escursionistici e cascate nella zona circostante. 30 minuti per giocare d'azzardo a Cherokee. Pesca a mosca a Bryson City, a 40 minuti di auto.

The house was very clean, and tidy. Everything we needed was there. Wish we could have stayed longer. Homeowner was great too.

We had a wonderful anniversary weekend at Woodland Retreat!! The cabin is perfect - clean, cozy, well stocked with a beautiful porch and amazing view! We enjoyed the pool table downstairs as well. The owners were very easy to work with and communicate. Thank you for a wonderful weekend of memories in Waynesville! We will definitely be back with our family. Love these NC mountains.

Very clean. Beds were very comfortable! Has a top driveway so no steps needed for entry. Ten minutes to downtown. Nice front yard with view of mountains and the visiting animals.

If you want to visit the Smokey Mountains, you can't pick a better place. The roads are pretty winding, but this location puts you right in the heart of them. Asheville is close by, Clingman's Dome just an hour away and just about anything else you can imagine. The hosts are awesome and very responsive; and the pictures of the cabin are an accurate depiction of the cabin. You have to see this area, it is absolutely gorgeous.

Great Smokey's
If you want to visit the Smokey Mountains, you can't pick a better place. The roads are pretty winding, but this location puts you right in the heart of them. Asheville is close by, Clingman's Dome just an hour away and just about anything else you can imagine. The hosts are awesome and very responsive; and the pictures of the cabin are an accurate depiction of the cabin. You have to see this area, it is absolutely gorgeous.

The check in was easy and the hosts provided plenty of information on the home and surrounding things to do. They even checked in to make sure we were enjoying our time. The home has a remote feel due to the neighborhood but still very close to dinning, shopping and activities.

We spotted turkey in the yard everyday and five deer also which our little one loved. The drive up to the property and into the driveway is not for beginners during any kind of weather but if you have 4 wheel drive it won’t be a problem at all. The accommodations are perfect, comfy beds, well appointed kitchen and bathrooms, pool table and Cornhole boards in the basement. Our family of four visited this cabin over Thanksgiving weekend. It was cozy and comfortable. An added bonus - it's tough to tell from the photos, but you can drive up to the side entryway instead of having to rely on the stairs. This was very helpful for my older parents who struggle with stairs.

Woodland Retreat
We had a lovely three night stay at the Woodland Retreat. The road to the cabin is winding and mountainous as described in the ad. It is well maintained and paved the entire way. We had no problem getting there and back. The cabin was lovely. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was very well appointed. We spent the majority of our time on the wonderful deck. It has a nice gas campfire which was really pleasant. We also enjoyed watching the hummingbirds that came to the feeders.
The owner was very friendly and super responsive to our questions. It is a lovely area and we really enjoyed our stay.

Weekend getaway
We had a great weekend getaway at this property. We booked it last minute, but had no problems with the owners responding quickly. We loved sitting on the porch for most of the day - we enjoyed watching the resident hummingbirds stopping by the feeders hanging up. All the facilities were clean and as pictured. We stayed up in the loft bedroom and enjoyed the experience immensely! Very close to Waynesville for going out to dinner as well.

Truly a beautiful woodland tea
Five stars!! We love to be in the woods, and we also appreciate a convenient location. Patty and Blake’s house is so well appointed, conveniently located, easily accessible, and the best location I’ve found in my numerous trips to Waynesville.
At 3780 feet, the air is a little cooler, so, being there in July, I really enjoyed my time on the porch listening to the birds and feeling the breeze.
I really enjoyed cooking on the range. It’s so nice! Truly a cook’s stovetop and oven. I have a Bosch convection oven at home, so I was super happy to see that.
I appreciate so much the architecture and aesthetic of the home. The little bear cubs on the hearth made me smile several times, and the blue bird over the mantle is delightful.
We chose to use the loft bedroom so we could enjoy the morning light from the east-facing windows, plus the interest of the architecture. We rested so well!
Things happen, and often the truest indicator of quality service is found in what happens when something goes wrong, as it does sometimes. Such is life. We had an issue with a malfunctioning appliance while we were there, and as soon as we let Patty know what was happening, she took care of the situation immediately. We really appreciated her quick and thorough response.
I predict that we will be back!

Great time on the mountain
Few days with the family in Waynesville, really enjoyed Woodland retreat. Comments re steep drive is accurate, but not a problem for this time of year. Be nice to have upstairs loft closed off for privacy but kids stayed up there so not a big deal. Porch in the morning or coffee or in evening was awesome. Highly recommend.

Just lovely!
My husband and I came from Cary NC to see our niece graduate high school. It was a beautiful drive up the mountain to the home. The bedrooms are spaced nicely if you bring others with you. Great entertainment with a tv in living room on the main floor and tv downstairs where the pool table is located. Not far to restaurants, shopping or gas. The wildlife was amazing! We can't wait to go back!

Beautiful views from the tree tops, in a modern rustic cabin retreat.
The cabin is beautifully decorated, and really felt warm and welcoming. We enjoyed several "home cooked" meals out on the porch overlooking Waynesville. We came to relax and unplug and left feeling recharged and rejuvenated - couldn't have been happier!

Perfect Place for Rest and Relaxation
We had a wonderful stay! Woodland Retreat is very well equipped and sparkling clean. Such a warm, welcoming home and the owners have thought of every last detail. We enjoyed our morning coffee around the outdoor fire pit, a nightly game of pool and much more. Great restaurants and close to many well known attractions.
Thanks for a lovely, relaxing weekend. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Great Getaway
Great home! The kitchen and bathrooms appeared to be very newly renovated. Linens, dishes, etc. also seemed brand new. The house was perfect for our family of 4. The kids (ages 11 & 14) were in the loft and we had the master bedroom. The covered porch was perfect because we were sheltered from the rain while enjoying drinks outside at night. The view is nice in the winter while the trees are bare.
We have a 4x4 vehicle and had no issues with climbing the hill. The location was great, we were within a half hour from anywhere we decided to go (Asheville, Smoky Mountain National Park, Franklin, Sylva, etc.). We would definitely stay there again!

Wonderful place to stay!
The home is situated with wonderful views (especially the sunrise from the loft bedroom). The house is clean, very comfortable, spacious and the kitchen has everything that you need. We enjoyed playing pool, loved the wood burning stove in the family room and the gas fire pit on the deck. This home was perfect for our family getaway. I would definitely stay here again. We saw 6 turkeys on the road as we were leaving on our last day! Thank you!
