We simply loved staying at this property. It has been tastefully decorated yet feels comfortable and inviting. It is so peaceful and we loved walking down to the brook at the end of the garden. It is also in an ideal location for exploring the Berkshires, as most places are within easy reach. Communications were thoughtful and timely and it really felt like Laura was very caring and wanted us to have a lovely stay. We would definitely recommend!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was clean and well maintained. It had all the amenities one would want. The location was great... right in the middle of a forest with the comforts of home.

The house is quite large and with all amenities you would have home. The location is inside a state forest, with absolute quiet and crispy clean air . As remote as it sounds, it's only 20 minutes from Pittsfield, with a large mall including two supermarkets , Walmart, Home Depot, Starbucks and many more. I highly recommend Patrick's Pub , great food and beer with reasonable prices. If you don't mind driving a beat more through a beautiful scenery and go to Great Barrington, you can find great local restaurants and our favorite pizza Baba Louie's. Otherwise the host has thought of everything, house is stacked with the necessary toiletries/paper products, and much more.

What an absolutely wonderful home to enjoy the beauty of the Berkshires! Perfect for our large family of 5! The house was fully stocked with anything one could need! We really enjoyed cooking some of our meals in the kitchen. Our kids really enjoyed the large fire pit in the backyard and checking out the stream and beaver dam a short walk through the backyard. The location is great for exploring all the Berkshires has to offer- within 20-40 min drives: Mt Greylock for hiking, all the cute towns like Stockbridge, Lenox and North Adams, swam in waterfalls and enjoyed the peace and quiet and slower pace for the week. There were awesome movies and games and puzzles at the house too. Grocery stores, gas and big town comforts were a short drive away in Pittsfield. We liked the restaurant up the road “Listons” and found yummy coffee in Dalton. Laura felt like a family friend hosting you at her house- great communication and all the amenities top notch. I miss waking up to those huge windows overlooking the beautiful backyard and sky!

It's a great property to experience nature and the beauty of the area. It has everything you could need, is well kept. Don't hesitate.

Overall our stay at this cabin was ok. We really enjoyed the location, and exploring the surrounding area with our toddlers. We were however surprised upon arrival about the lack of AC. It was not clear in the listing, or we would not have booked it as we have young children. The cabin was not very clean when we arrived. Very dusty and the grill had mold so we could not use it. We also had trouble finding things in the kitchen and closets as everything was tossed into drawers, cabinets, and shelves. The beds are very firm which personally we did not find comfortable. Otherwise it wasn't a bad stay. The little details in decor and the style of the home make it a unique experience in a beautiful area.

The home was located on a very quiet road with only the sounds of birds...............the area around was filled with beautiful trees and ferns, you feel like you are millions of miles from everything but just a short distance all the conveniences you would need. If you are looking for a beautiful home away from home this is the place, all the comforts you would want and need!!!!!

While located deep in the rural woods, this cabin has all the modern amenities, including internet and WIFI, that one would expect in a more suburban setting. The cabin is spacious and well-equipped. We communicated frequently with the owner and the responses were always prompt. As the listing notes indicate, the nearest gas stations and grocery stores are 20 minutes away in Pittsfield, so plan accordingly. Also, being deep in the woods during the summer months, the mosquitoes and ticks were very happy to see us :-) Nonetheless, it's a great cabin (house), in a beautiful location, and highly recommended.

This beautiful house in the woods is a perfect escape. Clean and tastefully finished, filled with books, music, games, and movies for entertainment. Three large bedrooms, two full baths including one with a bathtub. Fully stocked kitchen and great communication with the host.

Great stay. Very peaceful area. Home is clean and well equipped for many ages. Beds are SUPER comfortable. FYI, it's a long drive to a convenience store or restaurant (20+ min) so plan ahead for first morning breakfast 😉

Very clean house, beautiful property, in a quiet and secluded area. The kitchen was well supplied for cooking.

The house itself was so lovely--the beds were great, the decor was warm and inviting, big table for games and meals, and those windows bathe the space in light. There is a beaver dam in the creek behind the house, and we saw a beaver roaming in the backyard! Everything was as listed, but what really won me over was the charming details--and lots of great books too! Such a serene and calming stay, just what we needed! Laura was very quick with responses to questions while booking and communication with her overall was excellent.

The house was beautiful and spotless! Perfect for a weekend getaway if you are looking for some peace and quiet surrounded by nature.

The house was great! The house could easily fit 2-3 couples or friends. It was really nice and cozy while being practical. Laura was great to work with, and communicated really fast with us. We're super thankful she was able to accommodate and work with us after we got sick and almost had to cancel last minute. Would definitely come back!

The house is bigger than I expected. The property is beautiful. Many great places to hike and explore in the surrounding area. My partner and I were looking for a place to unplug and check out for a few days. This was absolutely perfect. The house is well equipped with clean linens, kitchen gadgets and appliances, etc.

Property was well designed and decorated. Fully equipped with what you need for a week away. Comfortable to be in with a great outdoor setting.

Our stay was just what we needed. Being among the trees this time of year was beautiful and peaceful. Not too far from hiking trails, activities, and dinners out. Also enjoyed being able to cook at the cabin and watch one of the MANY movies that were available. Laura, the property owner, was very responsive. Would recommend.

Bright and beautiful home nestled in the woods. Well equipped house and enough towels for 3 ladies which never happens! Thank you! Plenty of room for all of us to spread out and comfy living room for evening movies. Will be back soon!

What a lovely surprise! I have to say that the house was better than the pictures on the website. The beds were so comfortable and the place was very clean and welcoming. My family wanted a space to relax- we went on small hikes, went to Northampton and some surrounding areas. It was exactly what we wanted!

We spent a lovely long weekend in the most peaceful quiet surroundings. Close to many hiking trails, the house had everything we needed to relax and decompress with our dog. Would recommend.

My family and I took a weeklong vacation at this house in Peru, MA. We found the house to be amazing, lots of space, lots of light, interesting layout, great outdoor space and amenities. Our kids (11 and 6) had a great time playing in the spacious yard, wandering in the woods behind the house and building fires in the firepit. We'd highly recommend this house to anyone looking to get away for a while!

Would definitely rent again. Home had everything we needed, all linens, kitchen and furniture and decorations were high quality. Very clean and great deck, yard and out of the way but still close enough to area attractions. Can’t go wrong with this Berkshire getaway!

The house was as described on the listing. The home is super relaxing. The host has taken great care in making the property feel like a home with many items of interest and entertainment, without feeling cluttered or having no room for guests' personal items. The kitchen is very well supplied. There were plenty of linens. Check in, check out, and all communications with the owner were smooth and prompt.

We had such a good experience... Laura is a legendary host... Responsive, thoughtful, kind, and helpful before, during, and after our stay... When we had trouble figuring out the clothes dryer, Laura had her handyman over to check it out within hours - on a Sunday! Laura's home is beautiful with tons of natural light and lots of cross-ventilation with plenty of fans, big casement windows, and good solid screens to keep the bugs out. We are huge fans of arctic air-conditioning, but we didn't miss the A/C at all - even during a hot-spell in late July... The kitchen is well-stocked and the Sub-Zero fridge is gorgeous. Dishware, utensils, and appliances were high quality and all of the linens towels were plush, high-quality, and kept us very comfortable. Bathrooms are gorgeous too. As she makes clear, Laura's place is quite remote. We had one bar on our AT&T cell phone, but no cell reception at all on our Verizon phones. But, the home's WiFi was fast, reliable, and super speedy with more than enough bandwidth for streaming and video conferencing. We will definitely think of this place again the next time we stay in the Berkshires. Thanks Laura!!!

We enjoyed our time at Laura's home so much, we never wanted to leave! The house was so beautiful and just perfect, the photos can't even capture how nice it really is. The property is large and secluded, it was so peaceful and relaxing being there. The home is also equipped with everything you could need. I definitely recommend this home to anyone! We were with our four kids, age 2-9, and they just had so much fun playing outside and rolling down the little hills. Bonfire with smores at night was the best too! We'd love to return one day!

Laura’s house was amazing. Quiet and relaxing place to stay. We ate dinner on the deck most nights and loved the gas grill and gas stove for cooking. Having the fire pit was great at night and we made s’mores. A great week visiting out in the Berkshires. We would come back again.

We loved the house and the area. The location is very quiet and tranquil. We took our dogs with us and they really enjoyed as well.
