We enjoyed the peacefulness of a stay away from traffic and noises. Only typical farm sounds and beautiful views; from mountains and fynbos to dams and tree plantations. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming and the fresh produce they offer are delicious.
Stay was too short.

Die Lage des Steinhaus von Ilona ist außergewöhnlich, sehr ruhig und naturverbunden. Ilona ist eine herzliche, zugewandte und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin
Wir fühlten uns warmherzig aufgenommen

Very quiet and the room was spacious and comfortable.
No self catering facilities, but the host said they will be adding that in the future.
Value for money as breakfast was included.

The fresh farm produce: butter and eegs, milk and honey. They were all fresh from the farm and delicious. The owners were also very friendly. There are lots of great possibilities for taking good walks.
We didn't know that the cottage was so close to the main house. During summer months, I would recommend a fan in the room as it can get rather stuffy. Otherwise we had a great time.
