Goditi questa speciale casa vacanza tra i Pini Torrey a Olde Del Mar con vista sull'oceano e sul canyon, vicino a tutti, tuttavia con privacy e serenità. Questa casa arredata con gusto può ospitare 6 persone con 1 letto king size e 1 letto matrimoniale e due lunghi letti singoli. Il soggiorno con pannelli in legno a travi a vista offre un accogliente caminetto a legna di grandi dimensioni e si apre sull'ampia veranda con vista su Crest Canyon e le vedute orientali delle montagne. Ci sono 3 TV HD nel soggiorno, una nella camera da letto principale e una in cucina. La cucina dispone anche di un proprio camino a legna ed è completamente attrezzata con elettrodomestici in acciaio inossidabile, posate, piatti da portata e tutte le necessità divertenti. Concediti un momento per goderti l'atmosfera di uno dei tre cortili con il suono degli uccelli, delle fontane e della cascata dallo stagno. La spaziosa proprietà comprende anche una vasca idromassaggio per 3 persone, doccia esterna molto privata, barbecue all'aperto, accesso ai sentieri escursionistici nel Crest Canyon, molti ottimi ristoranti e negozi abbondanti per lo shopping. C'è un ampio parcheggio privato all'interno della proprietà per gli ospiti. La spiaggia del Mar e il Seagrove Park sono raggiungibili a piedi o in auto, se preferite. È davvero un rifugio per stare in questa casa.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Casa Instone. Great views, peaceful house. Lots of interesting art and knick-knacks.
Owners were very responsive to inquiries.

Online description not accurate:
First time at Del Mar. Love the town not so much the property we stayed at. Landscaping is beautiful!
View from the back of the home stunning; however, with the interstate bustling 24/7, not so peaceful. Neither is a big and loud barking dog to the north of the home. Ironically, we had to sign off that our dog would not disturb the neighbors, as we would be cited.
Also, lots of ongoing construction one block north of the property. Not very peaceful with construction vehicles and personnel working all week long and on Saturday. The homes being worked on are amazing, but not a place to vacation if you are trying to leave a big city for R&R.
The home needs TLC. The musty smell of the home was overwhelming and when I informed the owner he played the "I don't know card." The smell improved somewhat with windows, doors and fans, but still intrusive to the olfactory nerves.
Finally, the spa, hot tub, was empty when we arrived. Don was abrupt and abrasive in communication when I insisted that the hot tub be filled, stating that "it broke that morning" and "it would take 2-3 weeks to get a repair person" When the latter was not on option for my family, he got his gardener/ handyman to come the next day and miraculously it worked. The spa was a highlight for my family and very peaceful. Thanks Don!
Giving three stars because of the memories, not for the not-so-peaceful stay at Casa In-Stone.

Absolutely loved the home and yard. Did not want to leave! Very peaceful areas - and beautiful views in the front and back. Plenty of space and an amazing office. Love!

Perfect Getaway Home
The pictures do not do justice to this perfect home. Originally we were to be 2 couples, but last minute changes resulted in just one couple. The directions were perfect, arriving on a winding, 15mph road to the home looking out over Crest Canyon.
The entire home was spotless and reflected the loving care of Don & Susan. A few minor questions were immediately handled with a quick call to Don. As mentioned in the VRBO description, there is no A/C; however, the wonderful breezes made A/C completely unnecessary.
Our master bed, a king, was comfortable and provided for great sleep. One pillow was a bit large but a replacement was available in the closet. Water pressure in the shower was fine, as was the quick availability of hot water. We ate our meals out so did not use the kitchen. As people who like to cook, the appliances, including an induction range, appeared to be top notch.
The living room proved to be very comfortable for watching TV or just relaxing. That having been said, we spent most of our time on the patio overlooking the canyon. We loved the quiet and the beauty below. We did not use any of the trails into the canyon, but did see people doing so. We used the large office quite often and the internet proved to be just fine for our needs.
We are sorry to leave after such a short stay but certainly plan to return. What a beautiful home!

The home itself is cozy and breezy with many windows to draw in the ocean air. Each bedroom was extremely comfortable with high quality linens and good pillows. We could have happily stayed for a full month. The town itself is adorable and the beach is a short drive or a longer walk from the house. Great vibe at the house and you can feel how loved it is. The property manager was very responsive as was Don the owner. We would 100 percent stay here again. This place is a gem.

Beautiful home. A quiet sanctuary with a lovely view from back veranda.
Our family had a wonderful staycation at this beautiful home. Landscaping/bubbling ornamental pond/ multiple seating options all around the property provided a tranquil setting for the whole family. Outside lighting at night was gorgeous. Loved all the unique decoration touches both inside and out.

Perfect Del Mar Getaway
This home is wonderful! Private but walking distance to the town and beach. Beautiful inside and out and very comfortable. We loved that there were several indoor and outdoor living spaces so we could all have private time if we wanted it and plenty of big tables to all gather around when we wanted that! Don was wonderful to work with- very quick to respond and we would definitely enjoy staying here again!

Perfect Del Mar getaway
This is a charming house in the Del Mar hills. It’s a short distance to Powerhouse beach and downtown. The house has great outdoor spaces for reading and relaxing and is about as perfect as you could hope for.

Felt Privileged to be allowed to rent this beautiful property
Dear Don,
The house is gorgeous. I love the floors! The grounds are enchanting. I was ‘sold’ when their was a sculpture of “Doc” from the Seven Drawfs part of Don’s magical waterfall. It reminded me of my childhood when my father worked for Walt Disney Studios.
My husband had been asked to write a musical a few weeks previous to this trip. He found the house had great acoustics in the kitchen and office that he could record on his i-pad. The setting was so tranquil he got the whole project finished and in the mail.
This trip was about my coming back to where I went to high school, (first graduating class of Torrey Pines), and college, (UCSD), 45 years later and giving hugs to those I love. I wanted to take the grandkids, ages 2 and 5, to a warm water beach with an endless sand box and let the ocean water wash over their toes. This is the best memory a grandmother could wish for. I even got in the water for a litte boogie boarding my self!
The kids loved the corner of toys in the living room Don specificly left out for them. A wooden Brio train track they set up in the office. Daughter, age 5, read through most of the children’s books. And the basket of duplos became many an imaginary game.
The layout of the house is impressive. Warm large living room with leather sofa ideal for a long chat with an old friends. Screen doors everywhere to let the fresh air fill the house. Also many decks, views, places outside to enjoy the ocean breeze. The size of the house was perfect for taking my daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren on a vacation where they could walk on my favorite beach and feel that soft sand between the toes.
I’d definitely recommend this property to others and we’d feel blessed to stay there ourselves a second time in the future.

Del mar stay
The property and location are exactly as described. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and inviting outdoor space. We were able to walk to the beach and dining places. The home had a wonderful breeze both during the day and in the evening-perfect sleeping weather! I would definitely stay again:)

Excellent location and property
We loved the location, walking distance to the shops and beach (albeit uphill on the way back). The house is well maintained and lavishly stocked with the essentials, so you don't need to buy those (laundry detergents, dishwasher soap, shower gel, etc). That was a nice surprise and very thoughtful. Beautiful outdoor seating areas, we were spoiled for choice ! Highly recommend and if we are back in Del Mar this is where I hope we can stay.

House with amazing views
We really enjoyed this house. There were plenty of toys for our kids to play with and nice amenities. We loved the proximity to the beach and the views off the cliff. The only reason we cant give it 5 stars is just the fact that there is no a/c. It's been unseasonably warm in San Diego and even with the windows open it was very hot in the home.

This house was ideal for our family of 6. Plenty space inside and out. Good BBQ area on back porch with views of canyon.
Comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen.
About 1 mile walk downhill beach, which means 1 mile uphill on way back!
There was problem with washing machine while we were there but owner arranged for clothes to be laundered for us.
Owner and property manager were responsive to queries.

Absolutely perfect place to stay in Delmar.
Couldn’t ask for a better place. Ocean view in the front, extensive Valleyview on super comfortable patio in the back. Comfortable beds. Great owner.

Fun in the sun!
Had such a relaxing and refreshing time here. The views from both sides are gorgeous and was great to be walking distance to beach, restaurants and cafes. The evenings were cozy and quiet with plenty of outdoor patio and garden area to explore! Will be back!

Calm, Beautiful and We Already Want to Come Back!
I think this is the first time I've ever written a review the same day I left a vacation rental. My family had such a wonderful stay at this gorgeous retreat. I can't say enough about the views, the upgrades and proximity to all Del Mar has to offer. Our favorite part though was the jacuzzi. Wow! Just such a lovely trip. We are already looking to return next year.

This is a very comfortable, lovely house with many wonderful outdoor spaces, including front and back porches and small grassy area. Very quiet area and great neighborhood. I would go back.

Del Mar Home on the hill
The house was great for our family. With some amazing views from the back patio and we really enjoyed the jacuzzi and easy access to downtown Del Mar. Everyone had plenty of room to relax. Safe, quiet and clean house. We hope to see it again in late summer 2015.
