Bella Manasota Key è un'isola barriera pittoresco. La nostra casa si trova circa a metà della lunghezza della chiave. Non è lontano da 4 aeroporti principali: Tampa (TPA), Sarasota (SRQ), e St. Petersburg-Clearwater (PIE) a nord e Ft. Myers (RSW) a sud.
La nostra casa è accogliente e piacevolmente rustico. E 'perfetto per una coppia o una famiglia. Ci sono 2 camere da letto e 2 bagni. La cucina è grande e contiene quasi ogni strumento o apparecchio che si possa desiderare. Per cucinare all'aperto, c'è anche un grill a gas. Adiacente alla cucina è il soggiorno, che si affaccia sul Golfo del Messico attraverso una doppia serie di porte scorrevoli in vetro. Fuori le porte di vetro è una piccola zona salotto. Perfect is an understatement! The house has everything you could need on vacation and the beach is absolutely wonderful! We were able to see lots of sea turtles coming in to nest and there were plenty of shells to look through on the beach! The kids had fun looking for shark teeth, snorkeling and swimming as well! The beach was never busy, so that was great too! Don was a wealth of information for places to eat and things to see and do. We had an amazing week and cant wait to stay again!

So peaceful and in a very nice safe area. Don was very helpful with anything we needed. The house was clean and well stocked with all your needs. Our 4th Time
This was our 4th stay at this property. It is an older home, but well equipped. I would say that is time to update the furniture. The key feature is the location at water’s edge on a pristine beach. Excellent spot to relax and rejuvenate.

Excellent Vacation
My wife and I, along with our two children, stayed here over Thanksgiving week and loved the place. It was everything advertised and more. Very peaceful, secluded, private beach and Don, Jim's brother, was very helpful and friendly. Even though the house was older, it had everything we needed, plenty of dishes, laundry area, lots of towels and beach towels. Even had beach chairs, umbrellas, and floaties for water and toys for the beach. We found lots of shark teeth, thanks for the two shark teeth shifters they had there.
The views were fantastic right from the house and deck, we even saw several dolphins. We all had a very relaxing vacation and have already booked it for next year. Can't wait to return.

Autumn Getaway
This was my second time at this property, so no surprises. It was a little concerning that we did not get checkin information earlier, but as soon as I got to the Tampa Airport and called Jim, I got what I needed to know. He's a thoughtful host. The weather, water, and beach were delightful until the unfortunate arrival of red tide fish kill. I'd risk it and go back in a heartbeat. The house is a gem and one of few rentals on the north end which is my favorite area.

This home is well appointed and very function for a quiet, relaxing getaway. The property location is perfect...right on the edge of the beach. In fact, you don't even need to go onto the beach except to walk, swim or fish because the back patio is right on the beach. You can just chill out on it without all the sand. The bayside dock is great for fishing with and incredible view as well, but a little tricky to get to. Well worth itqq if you want great fishing or manatee watching. We saw dolphins fishing in the Gulf while sipping coffee in the morning and rainbows. The house had plenty of pots and pans and everything you need for your stay. There are great restaurants close by. The place was very clean. The owner was fantastic to work with. We have already booked again next year for a week. We love this place!

Charming old Florida Beach Property.
We greatly enjoyed our stay and this location is what you dream of when you think of a Fl beach vacation. The house was a trip back in time, clean and comfortable. What an amazing location it was paradise. If you want “mod cons” than the house is not for you, but if you want a “homey” house that is in an amazing location than this is the place. Jim was amazing & could not of been more helpful. When certain things did not work he fixed immediately without any fuss. My husband was in heaven fishing on the beach & caught all different kinds of fish. I was in heaven sitting on the decking watching the gorgeous sunset & watching the dolphins & Manatees. Also had a great golf course near by which we really liked. Will definitely go again & we wish Jim all good health.

Wonderful Beach Home and Awesome Owner
WOW! We had a wonderful stay at this amazing beach home! It's an older home that had everything we needed to make our stay perfect! My husband loves to cook and with a kitchen that has it all, we enjoyed every meal at "home"!
Right out the door and we were on the beach! Beautiful!!! Shells and shark's teeth everywhere! It was so much fun walking our 2 small doxies on the beach! And a must - relaxing daily walks!!!
At the end of an awesome day, we'd relax with a glass of wine on the back patio watching beautiful sunsets and listening to the surf! Watching dolphins, too!
The owner, Jim, was great! We corresponded with him several times and he was always very helpful!
Jim, it was great to meet you and to visit with you! We, also, enjoyed meeting your brother! Thank you for sharing your beach home! Everything was perfect! It was hard to leave! But we are very excited about coming back next year!

Home and Owner are Excellent
My family and I stayed in this wonderful old home in 2011. It looks exactly the same now as it did back then. We often dream of going back. The year we stayed there my health was in decline. Now 6 years later I only can wish I could travel back and enjoy the beauty and wonder of this great place.
I am posting this for any future prospective renters. I was just thinking of the good times we shared there so I decided to look the place up. I found my email correspondence with James (the owner) and found the address. My opinions are these.
This is a fun place to stay. Wonderful and amazing wildlife and beach beauty surrounds you. The beach is practically deserted and secluded. This isn't a new build so naturally its going to show its age but that far exceeds the privacy and beauty it offers. It was clean and tidy. Old yes, but well maintained. If you want a great little bungalow that offers unmatched gulf coast beauty at an affordable price....this is the place to stay.
Now as far as the owner. He was ALWAYS there for us. He helped us in every way whenever we needed anything. He met us in person on request. Answered emails quickly and i talked to him several times on the phone. I pray his health is improving and he is able to continue renting this place for many years to come. I want to be able to call him up again one day and return. If I wasn't sick we would have returned multiple times already.
James thank you for sharing your home with us in 2011. Thank you for being attentive to our needs. Thank you for offering such a wonderfully beautiful and private place at such an affordable cost. I pray you are healing and feeling much better.

Beautiful Beach Vacation Rental!
We loved every minute of our week at this property. It was everything that my family of 3 (myself, wife, and our 10 yr old son) could ask for! The beach was amazing, and very private. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch with a cocktail, watching and listening to the surf. Walks on the beach were great with lots of shells and sharks teeth. I brought a boat to keep on the dock and had some great fishing in Lemon Bay and Stump Pass. The highlight of the week was watching Sea Turtles come onto the beach almost every night to lay their eggs.
The house was cool and comfortable, however we spent most of our time outside on the beach or enjoying the cool breeze under the shade of the Australian Pines on the back porch. It is an older home, but that is what is so amazing about it. It is literally right on top of the beach! You couldn't ask to be any closer.
Great place for a relaxing stay at the beach. We will definitely return!

The most relaxing family getaway!
Our family absolutely loved staying at this house, and we plan on returning!
The house is a gem! An older rustic home under a canopy of tropical plants! It was a perfect place to hang the kids enu's and relax while watching the sunsets, dolphins and listening to the waves... And of course hunting shells and sharks teeth!
The house is supplied with everything you could possibly need! We stayed for a week, only leaving the property once to hike stump pass park.
The property owner was accessible to contact during our stay and great to work with during both the stay and in the planning stages.
It was the perfect getaway! We hope to make this an annual tradition!
During our stay we had several people pass by on the beach to ask about the house. We also had family and friends inquire about the property after seeing our vacation photos. If you are looking to get away to a remote tropical destination, we highly recommended this home!

great family trip
I was a little worried to book this property having read a couple of the recent reviews. I decided to take the risk because I wanted to be right on the beach, not "steps away from the beach." The risk was well worth it! My family stayed for five days. The house was very comfortable and clean. My kids were able to go in and out and down to the beach whenever they wanted. It is a very private stretch of beach - not really accessible from the public beaches. We found tons of shark teeth, kayaked and paddle boarded. My boys fished from the beach and from the dock. The owner's brother who lives nearby event lent my kids his fishing net when they lost theirs the day before. We would definitely stay there again.

As you can see I have reviewed this property a few times. We always have a great time for the 2 weeks we go every year. We love the quiet get away.The house is in very good shape for the age and we never have a problem with anything. The place is clean and has a well equipped kitchen that I love. If someone says they had no cooking equipment they didn't look very hard. To be able to set and watch the sunsets every evening is priceless. Everything was clean and ready for a stay. I have lived in Florida for 50+ years and have stayed at many places on the beach, I even own a place on the water in North Florida but this rates at the top of them all. I will continue to stay here every year as long as it is available. Thanks to Billy for his help. Also thanks to Jim and get well soon. See ya next year!

Beautiful beach, horrible home
It took me a year to calm down to write this review. After much thought and discussion, we just had to express our disappointment in the property. The caregiver that was responsible didn't look physically capable to care for anything. The owner met us and was nice, but never went in the property. He has spent all of his rental earnings on his new multimillion dollar home next door. The carpet, linens, and window coverings were just disgusting and hadn't been cleaned in years. My asthma inhaler came out immediately.We then had to call the owner the first 24 hrs. because there were birds nesting in the fireplace which constantly made noise when you would come into the house. The living room was the only place that was clean and inhabitable. The kitchen was poorly equipped, despite new appliances, really hard to cook without pans and things. All had to be washed before used. The entire dock was collapsed and felt like the house was about to go as well. The steps were almost impossible to use to get to the beach. Rats in the bathroom our children were using. The only reason we didn't leave immediately is that this guy had hosed us for over 1200. plus and we had our dog and kids that had traveled quite a distance for this trip. This house is not up to code by anyone;s standards. And, I had to call him to get my damage deposit back. Unbelievable. Never had a problem like this with VRBO and I have stayed in US and France, sight unseen. Please, VRBO, this listing should not be allowed to be posted anymore.

Deceptively advertised
Although deceptively advertised and poorly managed, this rental is on a nice Gulf of Mexico beach. We spent 3 weeks in the 68 year-old home. The interior has been upgraded and nicely decorated. Beds are comfortable. The kitchen has upscale appliances and Rachel Ray cookware. Cutlery and dishes are of good quality.
It retains some funky "old Florida" features. A vintage electric cooktop has a 16" x 24" griddle, but only 3 of 4 working burners. The advertised “50 inch flat screen TV” actually measures 42 inches. The home’s exterior needs repairs.
The wrecked deck was a great disappointment. Although prominently featured in VRBO photos, it was destroyed by a hurricane over two years ago. Broken remnants, a severely cracked cement patio and a deep ditch remain unrepaired.
We had some initial arrival issues, mainly with cleanliness, towels and sheets. Owner did not respond to phone calls or E-mails. His brother, visiting nearby, replaced deficient sheets, towels and shower liners. We spent hours doing the needed cleaning.
The quarter mile distant private dock is virtually unusable. With no parking by it, you must walk down the driveway, across the main highway, through a condo community to an opening in overgrown mangrove trees. A 100-foot walk on boards laid across soggy mangrove undergrowth, gets you to the isolated and unlit dock.
The home just needs more attention. There is a charge for turnover cleaning, but it was poorly done. Our arrival deficiencies wouldn’t have occurred if someone paid attention to the home’s interior.
When we arrived, dishes, cups and glasses in the kitchen cabinets had accumulated water on them. Oddest thing was the bathroom towels and washcloths. They were neatly hung on both bathrooms’ towel racks, but were soaking wet. Obviously the cleaning crew didn’t let the dishwasher finish its cycle or put towels through the dryer.
My wife sent the owner a long list of what needed to be vacuumed, cleaned or washed at arrival. There was no response.
Once the owner has your money, expect to be ignored! Owner was unreachable during our stay. Didn’t answer our phone calls, E-mails or VRBO website E-mail link. We also had to wait excessively for our damage deposit refund.

Love this place. Great view, away from the hustle and bustle. Quiet beach where you hardly see anyone. Been staying here for a few years and hope we get to stay for many more. If someone had a bad stay you must be spoiled. You could stay somewhere nicer but so is the guy on the other side of the wall in the next room. Picked up shark teeth and shells everyday and watched one of the prettiest sunset you could ask for. Thanks Jim for a great vacation.

Not what it looks
This property is misrepresented! There is no deck as pictured. There is a large ditch full of debris where one used to be. The steps down to the beach have exposed and rusty screws. Property had greasy counters and dated bathrooms. There were numerous other code violations. I could not recommend this property.

For me, this was a wonderful week in paradise. The home is perfectly rustic, directly on the beach with a kitchen that is equipped as well as my home. It is so close to Stump Pass National Park with a great 2.6 mile, round-trip hike with a destination at the junction between Lemon Bay and the Gulf. At this junction, I sat on the sand and watched dolphins 5 feet in front of me. There was a small storm in the gulf that washed up enormous piles of shells on the beach right in front of the house. I spent mornings collecting shark teeth, that I discovered are not white. There are all the amenities close by, including restaurants, a Walmart, and grocery stores. The only criticism I have is that the beach is encroaching on the property and if you have children or are older, assessing the beach from the steps adjoining the seawall is not possible. The small beach has large boulders and I would not recommend it for children. My mom stayed with me and we had to drive down to the public beach in order for her to gain access to the beach. There are exposed rusting nails on the seawall steps and additionally the deck has been severely compromised and is considerably smaller than the picture on this web site. If however, you are agile and are physically able to climb down the seawall, then this location is just fine. I guess it is all about needs and expectations. If you are a young couple or a physically-fit single person, this is the place for you. I personally loved the experience and would rather stay in a rustic home than in a 4th floor condo. Oh, and let’s not forget the incredible sunsets!

Beach vacation
When we arrived we were so excited about staying here and knowing all we had to do was go down some steps and we were on the beach! I got up early every morning to go look for shark teeth and to see if there were new turtle tracks. We spent our time on the beach every day and we enjoyed sitting out back watching beautiful sunsets. We will come back again in the near future!!

Better every year
This spring was the tenth time my family has been to this property, and the third time we have stayed in this particular house. We all agree that this is the best place in Florida. Very relaxing and private: the first day we were there we saw only two people the whole day. The view from the living room and porch of the Gulf is beautiful. One day we saw dolphins from the porch. When you're there you never want to leave because it's so beautiful. The house is comfortable and the kitchen is well-equipped; it's a very homey sort of place. This place is our favorite vacation spot, and all summer we've been saying "I'd rather be in Florida"!

This is the third time we have stayed at this beautiful home in the last 3 years. It is one of the most relaxing vacations that anyone could take. If location sells then there can't be one any better. When you sit on the deck you can't get any closer to the surf without getting in the water. Once again this is one of the greatest places to stay in Florida.It has to be one of the best views of the Gulf you could ever wish for. This is the second time we have stayed here and have already booked it again. They take care of any need you have. I would recomend this vacation spot to anyone. The fishing was great, the water was perfect and the home was perfect. Thank you for the great vacation.

Couldn't get much better.....
It took a few minutes to find the house as there were several on the property. The house is the 3rd oldest on Manasota Key. It's main living space is open and looks right out on the Gulf with a lovely deck to relax and watch the sun set. The interior is really comfortable. Lots of cabinet/closet space and a well equipped kitchen. I would certainly recommend this rental.

Manasota Key
This was the 2nd year in a row I have stayed at this property. I already have booked again for next year. This is definitely the perfect private beach house with a gorgeous view of the Gulf. The beach is private and beautiful and I found approximately 1200 sharks teeth. Approximately 15 turtles came on the beach during my stay and laid eggs on the beach. This property is truly a gem. One of the most relaxing and enjoyable weeks I have had in awhile.
