La nostra casa è uno spazioso monolocale con soppalco con una bellissima vista sul Fosso Reale. L'appartamento è arredato in stile contemporaneo ed è completamente attrezzato. Può ospitare fino a 4 persone: nell'area soggiorno, oltre all'angolo cucina, c'è un divano letto da una piazza e mezzo, nello spazioso soppalco ci sono un letto matrimoniale e un divano. L'appartamento si trova al 3^ e ultimo piano ed è pieno di luce e molto arioso; non c'è l'ascensore. Aria condizionata e riscaldamento garantiscono la temperatura ottimale durante tutto l’anno. Situato nel centro di Livorno, l'appartamento è vicino al quartiere ' la Venezia', un affascinante intrigo di canali che si snoda intorno alla medicea Fortezza Nuova, pieno di locali e ristoranti, molto animato la sera. Il porto ed il mare distano circa un chilometro, le spiagge circa tre chilometri, la bella scogliera di Calafuria circa 10. A pochi passi dall'appartamento troverete i mezzi pubblici per raggiungerli comodamente. Livorno è la base ideale per la vostra visita in Toscana: Lucca, Pisa, Firenze sono facilmente raggiungibili in meno di un'ora d'auto o, se preferite, in treno. La stazione ferroviaria dista circa un chilometro. Intorno a Livorno, nella dolce campagna toscana, potrete visitare molti borghi caratteristici e degustare le specialità tipiche del luogo. Livorno è la meno turistica delle città toscane e per questo ha mantenuto molto del suo sapore autentico e popolare. INFORMAZIONI IMPORTANTI: il tetto è spiovente e una parte del soppalco ha un’altezza più bassa di una persona. L’appartamento è al 3^ piano e non c’è l’ascensore.

We were late getting to Livorno due to a cascade of delays on our journey from the US. We kept in touch with our hosts and they were there waiting for us to assist us with parking and getting luggage up the three flights. They were helpful with local information. It was quite warm during our stay and we struggled to get the air conditioning to work properly, but partway through the visit. We found a fan tucked at the bottom of the stairs, and that helped to circulate the air up to the loft. It was wonderful to be so close to the Mercado Central we enjoyed three days of exploring the local area. The view over the canal was to die for.

Die Wohnung ist in sehr zentraler Lage und kann als super Ausgangspunkt für die Erkundung nahe gelegener Städte und Kultur.

More than a room with a good view!
My wife and I have now spent a full month here in Alessandra and Paolo's apartment, so you might say we're experts. I've rented a number of flats over the years for work trips in Italy, and this is by far the most pleasant, comfortable, and well-appointed pad I've had in this price bracket. The bathroom, bedroom loft (low cieling up there, but you'll probably like the ambiance just below the roof), and large living room/kitchen area are perfect for a pied-a-terre, for one weekend or for four weeks. Everyone can appreciate how nice it is to find essentially unlimited hot water in the heater, too! With a nice gas range, oven (so rare!!), and even a dishwasher, I found putting together a meal, or entertaining a guest we had for a few days, completely feasible.
To top it all off, Alessandra was a fantastic host, and she answered all of our texts very promptly during our stay. A great location for eateries and shopping around the old city core, and even walkable to the train station.
If you're considering a stay here, just book it - you won't be disappointed.
