It was a perfect spot in Fredericksburg. It was close to shopping but out of town.

The people we worked with (reservations, housekeeping, etc.) were wonderful. A few things make this a 4-star review.
The location is immediately next to a fairly large Mr. Gatti's pizza. Therefore, it is NOT remote. On the other side, there is an SPCA kennel that you WILL hear in the mornings especially. This used to be a B&B surrounded by fields and other small cabins. Then...A chain pizza joint moved in :(
The cabin itself is unique and fun! Nice fireplace, small kitchenette, large bedroom with attached toilet and large jet tub/shower combo. No issues with the bedroom setup except having nightstands on both sides of a king bed would be nice. Note - other than a curtain around the toilet and another at the entrance to the bedroom, no privacy in the bedroom/bathroom.
The kitchenette is just a sink, small microwave, and 1/4 size refrigerator. It is functional like a hotel room. Small dining area attached.
Living room and kitchenette are combined and the couch and fireplace were nice. Especially the fireplace!
Around the entire cabin, there are empty wine bottles serving as a remnant of previous stays. It is a nice touch, but it's gone a little overboard and we had to move dozens of them to have some horizontal space for our items and Christmas dinner prep/serving. Not a big negative if they'll just keep some more unique ones and save some shelf space :)
Location - some maintenance issues - and some miscommunication about the fire pit, fireplace, and wood = 4-stars.

The venue includes a goldfish pond with a water wheel, great security, very cozy, and comfortable. It would be nice to have a gas burning fire place instead of a wood burning fireplace. I plan on renting again next year…

Hubby and I had a great time in Fredericksburg searching for just the right antiques for our new home. We could not have asked for a better cabin to stay in. It was charming and exactly what we needed!

Very nice, cute cabin. Walking distance to The Cabernet Grill, which is very good. Also, close to Lady Bird Johnson Park and the Gillespie Fairgrounds, if you are attending events at either. Outside of town, but still a very short drive. Even though you are next to Mr. Gatti's, it still has a country feel.

I stayed in the mill cabin for three nights. I was delighted to stay at this property considering that this was my first visit to the Fredericksburg area. I wasn’t disappointed at all. I will definitely consider this property again in my visit to the area.

Was a little more rustic than we expected from the pictures of the property. We did have a nice time and was very relaxing.

My wife and I wanted to get out of town and stay somewhere for the evening. This worked out perfectly, we arrived late in the evening but was a little surprised that is shared the parking lot with a restaurant but due to our late arrival it wasn’t an issue. Nice place but also be aware that the toilet is only separated by a curtain so if you are shy around your partner just be aware.

The cabin itself was cute and clean. We did get lost, and I tried to call the property manager, but the office had already closed. I wish I had an emergency number. Also, directly behind the property is an SPCA. The dogs on that property kept us awake at night. I do understand that the property manager cannot do anything about the dogs, but it was rather annoying.

The cabin was great and we really enjoyed but we had an after hours issue that I went to the office to get the number and when we tried to call the 2 numbers the first one didn't answer but had no voice mail set and the second one was not a working number. We had to delay our departure for 2 hours till the office actually opened. Also I got the text with the code but not the email as I was told. Had I gotten the email I could have looked up the code on my iPad since my problem was I locked my phone in the cabin. Would have been able to leave on time.

Though it was clean and beautiful, the shower nozzle was broken which made it very difficult to get the shower on. Also, the tub was so slippery we had to use our old towels as tub mat to reduce the risk of falling. I contacted Kim who said she was fully aware of all this and will tend to it when we leave. Funny or not...

This room captures every force of nature in its entirety. From the quaintly enclosed front yard sitting area with pond, watermill, fish, and firepit to the rustic decor of the interior, it captures all that the hill country represents and has to offer. The jacuzzi tub is a HUGE plus for us as well. We will definitely be back to this one in the future. It was absolutely the perfect place to celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary.

Loved the cabin and courtyard area. Had fun feeding the fish and enjoying the firepit and front porch area. Very clean and comfortable.Downside it's adjacent to a busy restaurant and highway. It would have been nice if they had included a stove top in the kitchen area. Overall a wonderful stay!

Only problem we had was it was hard to find parking when we came back to our room about 2:00pm. The parking lot was full everywhere and we had to leave and come back later to find parking. Other than that it was 100% wonderful.

Another great getaway at this cabin. We enjoy the atmosphere this cabin and the Livery Stable offer. The property manager was contacted due to a minor issue and the issue was addressed immediately. Great response.

We had an amazing trip to Fredericksburg. The cabin was great. Such a neat little cabin and very well kept. The only issue and it wasn’t bad was I thought by the pictures the cabin was in the country but it’s actually not you park in the mr. Gattis parking lot. There’s a privacy fence and it all worked out fine and we enjoyed it. But maybe add that it’s not in the country. All in all we definitely would stay here again.

the sewage smell coming from the bath sink drain vent under the sink needs immediate attention. Venting the drain outside the room would fix the smell. I'm really surprised that someone would allow the plumbing to be installed that way.
The tub was also very slippery to shower in.

Was a wonderful place to relax after work. The cabin is set back from a Restaurant and once behind the fence you don’t even know it’s there. Loved my time there and will definitely go back

The cabin was such a cute place! Reminded us of the house from the show “Virgin River”

The tub/shower combo is very tricky to get in and out of. I’m 64 yrs old and 5’ tall . You have to climb over the tub faucet and handles to get in . It would be better if it was just a walk in shower . No one uses jacuzzi tubs anymore . No stove or outdoor grill to even cook a steak dinner . Micro and Mini Fridge is all you get. But other than those it was fairly pleasant and peaceful setting .

Anniversary delight
Everything was really good on the property. Only bad was a dog barking all nite behind property. Did not get a lot of sleep. Even tried knocking on door of owner.
