Alllessandros mastery of all things horticultural shined in his stunning landscape. Flora’s property exceeded our expectations. It was obvious she takes great pride in her property and the comfort of her guests. The villa was well equipped with kitchen supplies. As well the villa was immaculate. If given the opportunity I would definitely return.

This property is truly a gem. It is clean, warm and inviting. And the view……! You wake up to a stunning panoramic view of the Tuscan landscape every morning and watch the sun set into it each evening. It is a very short walk to the town center where there are several delicious restaurants. The kitchen is fully equipped should you want to just hang out in your home away from home and prepare your own meal from the freshest ingredients found at the supermarket which is equally a short walk away. Our hosts were there to greet us and Carlo provided a very in depth orientation to the property. He also answered numerous questions from us first time travelers to Italy! Flora is so lovely and she, too, spent precious time with us to provide so much information about the area. She even gave us a sample of her homemade jam made from the fruit found right there in their orchard - thank you so much Flora - it was delicious! Travel note: there are no taxis in San Casciano (they are dispatched from Florence - but they are reliable) so keep that in mind if you chose not to rent your own vehicle. However, there is a bus service readily accessible in the village which you can then connect to trains, etc. for touring the area. But, there’s plenty to do and see within walking distance of Il Viscola! This is a quiet, secret, unexpected little bit of paradise that should not be missed! So, sit back, pour a glass of Chianti Classico and take in all that is Tuscany!

Unhindered view of the countryside while have access to all amenities in San Casciano. Walking distance to restaurants and a grocery store and five minutes to country roads for long, relaxing walks. The two bedrooms are airconditioned and that was a blessing in the scorching temperatures of this year. The living room/kitchen has a fan which was OK although not as good as the AC. The house was extremely clean and organized with instructions in multiple languages for appliances etc. Nice backyard for al fresco dinners and private sunbathing. The hosts were friendly and always available. We had a great stay

Just 25 minutes south of Florence, Il Visciolo is perfectly situated as a home base to explore Tuscany. Located in the village of San Casciano, the home is within easy walking distance of the charming downtown, with an abundance of restaurants, trattorias, pizzerias, bakeries, wine and gelato shops. There’s also a large “super market” nearby to stock up on essentials. The views from the back terrace were breath taking and changed throughput the day with the setting sun.
Flora, Alessandro, and Carlo were perfect hosts and provided us with a helpful introduction to the property, the village, and the surrounding areas. Flora helped us plan our week of sightseeing, which was greatly appreciated.
Our family of 4 had a magical vacation and are already thinking about our next visit!

The view was spectacular and house was within walking distance of the town. It was a beautiful, typical Tuscan style house.. Flora was responsive before our trip and during and gave us many suggestions of things to do and tips about Italy. We rented a car and did many day trips with Siena being the greatest distance. The entire experience with my sisters in Italy was fantastic and we all loved it.

The villa is even more beautiful in reality. The view is gorgeous and uninterrupted. The short walk to the village means you can get whatever needed without a car. Excellent bus service to central Florence and all tourist sites. Hosts are wonderful, kind, patient and very knowledgeable. Speak English which we found very important. Best time of our lives.

We had a marvelous week - Flora helped with local suggestions and the property was beautiful. Sitting on the patio looking out over the countryside in the mornings and evenings was delightful. Highly recommended!!

This is a wonderfully kept place in an absolutely perfect location. The town is very friendly with quite a few really good restaurants. The perfect location for day trips to Lucca, Pisa, San Gimignano, Florence, etc. Flora and Alessandro are wonderful hosts. Location d'exception
La maison, ancienne grange rénovée, est très joliement décorée dans le style toscan: marbre, terre cuite, meubles anciens. Il y a tout le confort moderne. Ce qui surprend en arrivant, c'est la vue extraordinaire. De plus, Flora et sa famille nous ont accueillis avec beaucoup de gentillesse. On aurait aimé y rester plus longtemps...

Kurztrip in die Toskana
Wir verbrachten eine erholsame Woche im wunderschönen Ferienhaus von Flora.
Es war alles wie beschrieben, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Flora gab uns nützliche Tipps für unseren Ausflug nach Florenz und zum Kauf von Olivenöl.
Wir können diese Unterkunft zu 100% weiterempfehlen und würden auch jederzeit wiederkommen.

Tolles Haus, Super nette Leute und ein authentischer Ort
Von Hier aus kann man die Toskana perfekt erkunden oder auch einfach nur entspannen. Das Haus ist in einem super Zustand und sehr sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Eigentümer sind sehr aufmerksam und ausgesprochen gastfreundlich. Man fühlt sich gleich heimisch und willkommen.

La maison est tout à fait conforme à la description, propre, très bIen équipée et à quelques pas du cœur du village où nous avons pu apprécier la culture locale loin des touristes. La position du logement est idéale pour visiter les merveilles de la région, faire de la randonnée ou simplement apprecier la dolce vita. Le ++ : La vue et les couchers de soleil sur les collines toscanes depuis la terrasse qui resteront longtemps dans nos mémoires. Un grand merci également à Flora pour son accueil et ses précieux conseils, notamment gastronomiques - quelques très bonnes adresses dans le village 😊 Un séjour inoubliable !

Un coin de paradis
Cette location est véritablement un petit coin de paradis. Par sa situation géographique idéale, vous pourrez visiter les plus beaux sites touristiques de la Toscane. Les photos de l'annonce reflètent parfaitement la réalité !!! Cette maison est véritablement parfaite pour des vacances totalement réussies. L'équipement est très complet, la propreté est irréprochable.
Que dire des propriétaires : les mots me manquent pour décrire leur gentillesse. Nous avons été accueillis comme des rois !!!

Traumhaus für erholsame Tage in der Toskana
Vom ersten Moment an fühlten wir uns im Ferienhaus Il Visciolo superwohl.
Das Haus im toskanischen Stil ist traumhaft. Alles war sauber und ordentlich und es ist alles vorhanden, was man benötigt. Es ist wunderschön eingerichtet. Und die Terrasse lädt zum Verweilen ein. Man hat einen tollen Blick über die Olivenhaine der Umgebung.
Die Lage des Hauses ist optimal. Es liegt ruhig am Ortsrand, das Zentrum ist aber fußläufig in 5 min erreichbar. Die Busverbindung nach Florenz ist super, in 40 min für 2,80 € waren wir im Zentrum von Florenz. Alle anderen Ausflugsziele, z.B. Lucca und Siena waren mit dem Auto gut erreichbar.

Ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen !
Es war eine wunderschöne Woche in einem liebevoll eingerichteten und absolut gepflegten,sauberen Ferienhaus. Die Vermieter sind sehr nette Leute, die gerne Tipps geben aber in keinster Weise aufdringlich sind. Die Verständigung klappte auf Englisch mit ein wenig Deutsch. Im nahen Supermarkt konnten wir uns wunderbar verpflegen und auch einige nette Restaurants waren in der Nähe. Allerdings haben wir am Liebsten auf der Terrasse gegrillt und bei einem guten Glas Chiantiwein die herrliche Aussicht genossen. Florenz erreicht man mit dem Bus in ca. 30 Min. und auch die anderen Sehenswürdigkeiten sind sehr gut erreichbar. Unser Fazit: Wir können Il Visciolo auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und super sauber.
Von den zuvorkommenden Gastgebern wurden wir freundlich empfangen und
bekamen wertvolle Tipps. Der Blick von der großen Terrasse geht über den Garten zu einer großen Olivenanlage, wir konnten viele Sonnenuntergänge
genießen . Das Zentrum ist fußläufig zu erreichen, mit einem gut sortierten
Supermarkt und einigen Restaurants. Das Städtchen hat eine schöne Altstadt
und jeden Montag einen tollen Markt. Die Lage ist zentral, man kann alles gut
erreichen, sei es mit dem Bus (Florenz 3/4 Std.) oder mit dem Auto alle bekannten Städte: Lucca, Siena usw. Wir waren zu viert und hatten eine
wunderschöne, unvergessene Urlaubswoche. Auf alle Fälle weiter zu empfehlen!!

Their assessment that you don't need a car was correct, we were within a short walking distance to the town center, around three corners to the grocery store and a short walk to the bus station. A half hour bus ride and you were in Florence Center. Day trips to Sienna, and San Gimignano are very doable in a day trip. My son and his wife took a 2 two hour train ride to Venice.

Très belle maison située dans un cadre magnifique
La maison est très bien située dans le village de San Casciano, à 15 minutes de Florence. L'entretien est parfait, tout est très propre. Le jardin est immense et la vue très belle. Les propriétaires sont très charmants et une véritable mine d'informations. Alors que la première chambre est magnifique, la seconde, avec ses lits sur mezzanine est inconfortable pour des adultes: le plafond est si bas que seuls des enfants peuvent y dormir confortablement. A éviter donc si vous pensez y aller à plus de deux adultes. Ce point fut le seul bémol de notre séjour, car le reste fut absolument parfait, merci à Flora, Carlo et Alessandro, nos hôtes.

Many thanks to Flora for her amazing hospitality and kindness. The four of us were greeted with a warm smile and some delicious snacks and chianti! The property is very well maintained and felt like home. Comfy beds and modern bathrooms made the stay relaxing. Wasn't sure about the location but it turned out it was perfect. The bus to Florence was right down the street and took about 45 min. We also had a car and with some guidance from our hosts were able to find some incredible places to see. San Casciano is small but offers a lot in terms of dining and shopping; nice change from the hustle and bustle of Florence. And when our luggage didn't arrive for several days, Flora was a tireless advocate in helping us get it!
I can't recommend Il Visciolo enough. It is everything you would expect and then some. We will be back to make more memories!!!
