The apartment is located on one of the main streets in Oban therefore providing great central access to all facilities like the shops, pubs, restaurants, beach and ferry terminals. The host provided us with good information before we arrived, so were able to use the long stay car park on the edge of town, which saved at least half an hour of being stuck in traffic to find we couldn't park anywhere. Access was again made easy by the host, providing us with a code for the key box and precise location of the apartment. The apartment itself was warm, welcoming and clean and the kitchen was well equipped.

The downside to such a great town centre location is the early morning noise of shops receiving deliveries and the late night revelers leaving the pubs and takeaways. However, if you join them, it's not as noticeable. Please don't be put off by the entrance hall to the apartments, it is a shared space with other apartments and has no reflection on the wonderful apartment waiting upstairs.

The stairwell which was needing repaired and cleaned. The flat had all we needed but would benefit from some new carpets and sofa as a bit old and tired looking. Couldn’t get tv to come on despite good effort. Nice pictures and ornaments.

Excellent location very clean and comfortable apartment.

The kitchen is freezing, supplied heater doesn't work, whilst inconvenient, was not a major issue we had arranged to eat out, one suggestion especially during the winter months would be to put the heating on before guests arrive, it does take a bit of time to heat up.

When you come in the entrance and up the stairs before getting in to flat is damp and does smell quite bad but on saying that there was absolutely nothing we did not like about the flat itself

The location was perfect and the apartment was a good size.

The smell when you first go through the main door off the street and up the stairs was really awful. Smelled foosty and of dampness. The flat itself smelled lovely, but every so often you could smell the stairwell while in the apartment. Which was disappointing.

Nice spacious apartment right in centre of Oban. All amenities close by. Apartment very well equipped. Milk, tea, coffee and cereal etc provided.

If being fussy, the communal hall way could do with a wee upgrade!

What a beautiful apartment with everything we needed for a two night stay...well stocked condiments, tea coffee and cleaning products...not to mention the Tunocks caramel wafers 😀

Everything you need to make it home from home was there, was excellent, best equipped apartment l have been to, would have no hesitation in returning to Argyll apartments George Street, and plan to do so, highly recommended.

Only downside was the shower, hardly any hot water and low pressure, although sink in both bathroom and kitchen hot taps were fine.
