We were able to walk to Motel 6, from the Via Rail Station, in under 30 min. The receptionist was very friendly as were the staff in the restaurant. Free coffee, tea and cookies were available in the lobby throughout the day. Our room was quite clean, the temperature was adjustable, the bed was very comfortable and there were laundry facilities associated with the Motel. (Loonies are required for the single washer and dryer and were available at the restaurant). The restaurant food was very good. The breakfast that was included with the room outdid most similar breakfasts we would find in Alberta, with cold options as well as a hot plate of eggs and sausages. Prices at the restaurant were reasonable.
There is a Tim Hortons within easy walking distance and an Enterprise Car Rental company right next door, which was perfect for us.
There isn't anything we did not like. Motel 6 is a clean, budget friendly Motel that offers more than the facade might suggest. Be aware that second floor rooms were accessible by stairs only. Anyone with mobility issues would want to book a room on the main floor.
