Chamcook Forest Lodge Bed & Breakfast

The host was warm and welcoming. It was like coming to stay with family. Not fancy but certainly cozy.

Although it didn't bother us, the curb appeal could be improved. The lawn care and grounds maintenance make things look a bit tired, but once inside you just feel at home.

Loved the old heritage house! Jenny was absolutely fabulous! She was the only one there during our stay but made sure we were well taken care of. Breakfast was also cooked by her and delicious. Enjoyed speaking with the other guests during breakfast Jenny’s sweet dog Lisa also made my day 💕

The unfortunate event of our chosen reserved room given to another guest :(

Great host. Very complete and comfortable accommodation. The home is a lovely old house, beautifully restored.

I found the place generally worn out. It wasn’t as clean as I would’ve liked as things were dusty for example, the alarm clock , the bed posts, and if we looked anywhere in the corners, it wasn’t as spotless as it should be . I found the room we were in to be quite cluttered and I found that it smelled a bit like mildew. I found that there wasn’t enough privacy. We were in the downstairs twin bedroom right off the dining room but also our bedroom and bathroom were right off their kitchen with a door that didn’t go all the way to the ceiling or floor so we could literally hear them eating off their plates. So I knew if I could hear them, what could they hear when I was using the bathroom right beside their adjoining door? The bfast croissant was good, but I found the bread was too hard. I enjoyed the bacon, but I found the eggs tasted odd. It’s a good price for the location and for very basic amenities, but I wouldn’t stay again. Host was kind.
