Absolutely stunning little cottage On the beach with ocean views from the living room and bedroom. Watching a sunset on the ocean is absolutely spectacular. We drove around the entire island and decided this was definitely the most beautiful area to have booked. At least 30 deers ran through as we were sitting on the lanai.

this is the second time we stayed at this location. We just love it. I don't understand the bad reviews, OK, the lighting could be a bit brighter in the kitchen, but otherwise it was perfect. This is Molaki'i. If you are expecting fabulous accommodations i suggest you go to O'ahu or Maui. the location is perfect for seeing the ocean and especially for watching the beautiful Hawai'ian sunsets. A totally unobstructed view. we would definitely stay here again.

This is our 4th stay at 6B. It keeps getting better! New floors, furniture, washer and dryer… it has probably the best location at Kephui Resort! The beaches remain peaceful and mostly empty with the most amazing sunsets we’ve ever seen. Long walks on beaches with Monk Seals sunning and maybe a turtle are the norm. People are friendly and helpful. Be sure to go to Kumus for fresh fruit and veggies. It’s on your way to town. If you happen to arrive on Sunday, no grocery stores and all restaurants EXCEPT the wonderful Pizza shop are closed. Expect a line! If you are looking for quiet, peace, rejuvenation and old Hawaii you will love Molokai. It has become our reset in a crazy world. Pam & John

Great location to beach and pool. So relaxing, would recommend staying there.

The inside of the unit was disappointing it appeared somewhat neglected. There were several major stains on the carpet, the main desk bureau had crooked drawers that did NOT close. The electric oven coil was broken. We could not use the oven but were able to use the broiler (thank goodness). The sofa bed was broken (Though the owner did give us $60.00 off on the total price) The unit location was far from parking and the area to dump rubbish was far from the unit I feel this unit was misrepresented. The photo listed had 2 hammocks on the lanai. But there were NO hammocks The next door unit had active construction going on so the weekdays weren't quite a quiet as we would have liked it to be I would NOT rent this unit again Though admittedly the view was beautiful

The property could be a fantastic place if adequately maintained. Unfortunately, we found the cottage dirty and worn. We never expected a luxury place, and we liked the vintage atmosphere. However, after a couple of days, we found that the home was deeply infested with cockroaches. I woke up with dark grains on my pillow and between my hair one morning. I searched on the internet and found that the black spots were roach droppings. Another day I found the feces accompanied by a cockroach's wing. It was the confirmation of the nature of the grains. My wife and I couldn't sleep from the trauma. We cleaned the bed several times but found it covered again and again with roach droppings. We killed a dozen roaches during our six-day stay, even in the pantry near the food. We moved our bed and found that the old carpet was covered with dead bugs and feces. I collected all the photos and sent them to VRBO. I talked with four different agents, and they fooled me by saying they were investigating and I would need to wait. I have contacted the owner but never got any reply. Besides the ruined holidays, we took a considerable health risk sleeping on a bed infested with cockroach feces. I found that roaches could carry bacteria that can cause severe sickness. We would have expected prompt and efficient handling of this bad situation from VRBO due to the health implications, but it didn't happen. The owner probably will reply that there is no infestation in the apartment. The photos we took during our stay prove the number of bugs killed and show their droppings on our pillows. There is also another fact that proves the infestation. One day my wife was alone in the house, and suddenly a man entered the apartment with his key. She was scared and surprised, and the man replied that he had come to disinfest the place from the cockroaches. This happened before we contacted the owner to explain our problem, and it is proof that the owner was already aware of the infestation. I waited three weeks to write this review. I tried in vain to get an answer from VRBO and the property manager. I was expecting an apology or, even better, partial reimbursement of our stay because our holidays in Molokai have been ruined. This never happened, so I want to make sure that other guests are aware of the apartment's conditions before they proceed with the booking. Unfortunately, I cannot attach photos here, but believe me…we felt like being in a horror movie!

This is an amazing place on the amazing Island of Moloka'i. We will be back.

I wish there had been a faucet or shower outside that worked ( no handle on the spigots) or instructions for how to get sand off our feet/shoes before coming in. The place would be much cleaner ( and drains in better shape) if one could easily rinse off sand before coming in. We felt sad to see such a once-lovely place slowly deteriorating. The nearby crumbling hotel and various buildings in disrepair are very sad to see. Too bad investors in the hotel project were not committed to long-term care of the land and place.

I went there to take a peaceful break and this location was perfect for me. It was very quiet and everyone there was so friendly.

We love Moloka'i and we love the Kepuhi Beach Resort.

I have been going to Molokai twice a year for several years. I always stay at Kepuhi Beach Resort because of it's close proximity to the best beaches and it's simply beautiful! The property is well maintained. The complex staff are very friendly. Even though it is a bit remote I have always felt safe and comfortable with 24 hour security. I have stayed in other units at the resort, but Michael's "beach cabin" is by far my favorite and I always book with him. Michael will tell you the unit needs some updating and "refreshing". Don't expect designer furnishings, granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. What you will find is a very comfortable living environment with all the necessary items for your stay. Michael has continued to upgrade as necessary including new bathroom and kitchen faucets and a new big screen TV. The unit and it's location are the big selling factors! Unlike most of the units at KBR which are two-story, eight unit buildings, the "cabins" are single-story, two unit buildings. The cabins were the exclusive, "high-end" units in the resort, at the edge of the old golf course. They are the closest to the beach with unobstructed views. The location provides most privacy and least noise from nearby residents. The unit adjacent to 6B has never been occupied in all the times I have been there. And the view...it is to die for!

The unit has the basic necessities and Michael's instructions for arrival were detailed. The complex is on an expansive beach, but the unit is set well back from the ocean and there is an abandoned and weed filled golf course in front of the unit. The main photo should be updated to reflect the lanai with only the dining table, no hammocks etc... The pool is closed and in talking with some full time residents at the complex, it has been that way for a while. Currently there are no Covid county requirements for it to be closed, so it seems to be a complex issue. The internet did not work when we arrived and we were told to call the cable company ourselves to remedy it.

We enjoyed our 2 weeks at Kepuhi Beach Resort. We hope to return again soon.

Beautiful location. Sunrise from the lainai. Terrific bed. kitchen and cooking supplies were great. but the lighting was terrible. very dark and dreary inside. we changed a few lightbulbs that went out with better wattage. No good light for inside reading at night. The parpet was old, dirty, and hard to walk on. Being barefoot inside hurt our feet. I doubt the carpeting has been changed in 20 years. iof caprets and lights were better, would stay again. but not until some assurances are made.

I have stayed in this unit several times. It is my favorite unit by far. There are only a few like this...single floor, “duplex” units. So only one common wall. Much more privacy and quiet. The lanai has an unobstructed view of the ocean looking on to what used to be the golf course. The unit is very much in need of an “update”, but very functional. Michael has recently replace the TV and drapes. I will continue to rent this unit!

Communication with Michael was great. He provided excellent information on how best to experience Molokai. The beach house is a little run down - the photos honestly represent the place and all the necessities work - stove, hot showers, fridge, comfortable bed. The price is well worth it. You really couldn't be any closer to the beach -it's presence was always felt and the sunsets were spectacular! We would have liked to stay longer....

One amazingly beautiful view from the lanai! Unit is perfectly situated to watch fantastic sunsets. An older unit, but well maintained. Well stocked, everything you need to enjoy your stay. Miles of empty beaches to walk. Seals, turtles, whales, songbirds and rainbows with some wild turkeys thrown in for good measure. Nice pool to swim in. Grounds are well maintained but remember, the closed resort buildings are intermixed with owners buildings... safe these days but remain a sad eyesore. On the plus side the old golf course is great for long quiet bicycle rides and walks! Important to shop before driving to west side... little shop on site for essentials, but since no restaurant nearby, you’ll do all your own cooking. Grocery stores close at noon on Sundays so check times. Saturday Market in Kaunakakai has fresh fruit & veggies as well as great local made items! Locals are wonderful with some very talented artists. Be sure to visit the Molokai Coffee Company; their coffee rivals Kona coffee and check out chocolate covered pineapple. Wow. Also, Be sure to reserve your car at the time you book your room or you’ll be riding the bus! Molokai is old Hawaii, some of the tallest cliffs and longest beaches and reefs in Hawaii! We very much enjoyed our stay at this cottage at Kepuhi Beach. Private, quiet and with awesome view of the sunset. We liked it so much we have booked a longer stay in March 2020. Unit was exactly as we expected thanks to previous reviews.

The apartment was very well furnished, clean, and located with the best views of the ocean and coast line. We had a wonderful stay and would return to this excellent unit again!

If you go to Molokai yo experience nature, prestige beaches, peace and quite than there is no best place than this condo. Wonderful sunsets by the sea from the terrace, 10 min walk from the best beaches in the island, the condo was just right for my family of 4. If you go expecting luxury and noise than this is not the right place. The others comments on the condo are right.

I have stayed at Michael's beach cabin several times. It is my #1 choice at Kepuhi Beach Resort! I love the location and layout of this unit. Located closest to the beach with unobstructed views. The "cabins" are single story units with only one adjacent unit. This provides the feeling of having a secluded beach house! Be aware that the unit is dated and in need of updates. In the past year Michael has added a large flat-screen TV and new drapes. Don't expect granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. That being said, this unit is PERFECT for my needs! After two decades of visiting the Hawaiian Islands multiple times a year, I have made Molokai my only destination and Michael's unit is the one I prefer!

Nice ocean view. Spacious, clean, real close to beach and pool. Real Molokai style.
