Romantic Tuscan Riverside Cottage Close to Shops/Restaurants
Il Mulinello è un delizioso e romantico rifugio per due in un ambiente idilliaco, arroccato su un fiume che ti fa addormentare la notte e ti calma durante il giorno. La casa è stata completamente ristrutturata e ristrutturata nel 2005 ed è riservata agli adulti e ai non fumatori. C'è un incantevole giardino con un cortile pavimentato e cortili nascosti tra bambù, palme e ortensie che offrono privacy e un'atmosfera tropicale. Ci sono ampi gradini che conducono direttamente nelle acque cristalline del fiume, ideali per un tuffo rinfrescante nelle calde giornate di sole. Dalla casa e dal giardino, ci sono viste mozzafiato sulle lussureggianti e verdeggianti montagne del Parco nazionale delle Apuane. Il Mulinello si trova a un chilometro da Equi Terme e Monzone, ognuna delle quali offre una varietà di negozi e ristoranti.

This house is a gem. We stayed for a long while and enjoyed every day. Open the windows in the morning to enjoy the sounds of the forest around you; the small river that runs next to the house, the birds chirping, and views of wooded mountains. The home is well equipped and comfortable, with plenty of room to relax. We spent a good deal of time sitting by the river, walking the forest trails, and visiting the nearby villages. This is a fine place to enjoy peace and quiet and relax with several nice restaurants and bars within walking distance.

Somewhat difficult to find the house, but it is worth the drive.
Make sure you follow the directions exactly as provided and get familiar with the surroundings before venturing out. Otherwise, enjoy you stay. We look forward to returning. Carlos & Veronica Romero

We had a great time at Il Mulinello. It is very peaceful and yet there is lots to do in the area, especially if you enjoy hiking without throngs of people. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is the bed is quite uncomfortable and the place could use a really good cleaning to get rid of the cob webs and ants.

location, location, location.....plus everything you need for a totally relaxing break in Tuscany/Liguria. The drive to La Spezia/autostrada becomes a little tiring after the first few day trips to Cinque Terre / Portofino etc. but returning to the peace and tranquility of the river makes it all worth while. Fivizzano village is also worth a visit but not mentioned in any of the guide books, a short car journey and close to home.
