We all absolutely loved our stay here! We stayed for almost a month and enjoyed the trails around the lake, right from the property! Our dog had the best time playing with the hosts dog, swimming in the lake and watching the deers wander by. It was a convenient location near the city but was so peaceful and felt miles away. We paddleboarded, kayaked, traveled to Auburn to enjoy the trails and couldn't have asked for a better spot or more inviting hosts! Thank you Richard & Wendy!

The main room was great. We weren't cooking so the kitchen was fine but would have been difficult to make a large meal. The bedroom was small but the bed was comfortable so we slept well. The washer dryer came in handy. The location is beautiful and the location was perfect for visiting family. Will stay again

I stayed at the carriage house for almost 4 months working remotely. The size of the unit was perfect for me and my dog. The house had everything we could possibly need and the view from the patio was priceless. The house is located above a separate garage with its own parking area and entrance which made the space feel very private while still having the convenience and security of the hosts just next door. Richard and Wendy were the best hosts I could ask for! They were always so helpful and responsive with any needs in the apartment. They are also extremely generous with recommendations around the area and even brought me along to see some of their favorite trails and breweries. My dog loved playing in the backyard with their sweet dog Lox and going on hikes together on the trails just behind the house. As a woman traveling by myself, it was extremely relieving to have such kind and trustworthy people nearby. As an outdoor enthusiast, the house was conveniently located near many popular mountain biking, hiking, paddle boarding, and skiing locations less than 2 hours away for a day trip. I loved this location and space as a headquarters for all my adventures. I would definitely recommend this space to anyone who wants to explore great outdoor opportunities or just relax on the patio with a beautiful lake view.

This little hide-away near the lake in and in the woods was just what this city girl needed! The sunrise and set set views were breath taking. We loved the accessible hiking paths and my daughter was able to see her first deer. Our hosts were very hospiatable and made us feel very welcome and comfortable.

Richard and Wendy are beyond warm and welcoming, the views were amazing, and pool and grounds a wonderful playland for our kids. Truly a lovely stay.

Our one-week stay was over-the-top great. The amenities we're all there in a well- designed, if I may say Cottage that had a generous deck that overlooked Lake Folsom. Our host Richard was most accommodating. If you're looking for a Serene place to stay this is it. Thank you Richard and Wendy.

When searching for a lodging option closer to our daughter in Folsom we happened upon this JEWEL! Tucked neatly on the edge of Folsom lake in an upscale neighborhood we immediately felt as if we were in a private resort! The view from the deck is unparalleled in any commercial property we have stayed at in the area! The touches of BLUE throughout the property mirror the lake bringing a sense of elegant serenity! We were extremely pleased with the value of our stay and can't wait to book the CARRIAGE HOUSE again in the near future!

I stayed at this cozy wonderful place with my husband and 2 kids for a week and loved every moment of it. We had everything we needed and more. The balcony was great, we spend every evening watching the sunset and enjoying the wine the owners left us. Between the beautiful pool and the lake we were in heaven. I can truly say this was one of our best vacations yet. We are looking forward to coming back. Thank you Wendy and Richard for sharing your little gem with us!

Richard and Wendy made us very welcome once again and we were able to enjoy a great deal of time with our grandson and his wife in this beautiful spot and great apartment - a real home from home and amazing wild life/ birds . We hope to come again next year.

Beautiful property and clean private loft. It has everything you need and a great view of the lake. We were not able to take advantage of much outdoor activity due to a rare rainy weekend in May.

The Carriage House was a perfect place for me during a difficult time in my life. We had just moved my husband to assisted living in Cameron Park and I needed a place to stay nearby as I am currently traveling back and forth between here and our home in Tahoe. It’s a beautiful spot overlooking Folsom Lake. The apartment is beautifully decorated, very clean, everything you need in the well equipped kitchen. I told Wendy I could live there permanently. Will try to go back. Reason for 4 stars, WiFi not great

We stayed here for 3 nights and really liked the location. The unit is super clean inside and out. The stars are bright and the night is quiet and this location. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay in the Folsom area.

This was the perfect home away from home. Incredibly peaceful, comfortable, and overall lovely. Richard and Wendy certainly put a lot of thought and love onto this vacation rental. Richard & Wendy were the perfect hosts. We so enjoyed spending a bit of time and a delicious meal with them during our 2-week stay. The Carriage House was exactly what we needed and was beyond our expectations. It provided everything you could possibly imagine: centrally located to the many attractions in the area, shopping, bird watching, deer crossings and hiking trails...but, best of all was the Carriage House itself and its beautiful view of Folsom Lake. Wendy & Richard provided everything from the pots & pans and dishes & silverware to the most comfortable double bed imaginable (and that's coming from a 6'5" husband that normally sleeps with me in a king bed!) Everything about this lovely abode was perfection. We'd definitely love to go back again during the Spring or Summer months to enjoy even more activities.

We absolutely loved our stay at this cozy apartment on Folsom Lake! The balcony was perfect for relaxing with an unobstructed view of the lake. We especially appreciated the cleanliness and amenities (washer/dryer, spacious shower, full fridge, microwave, toaster oven, stovetop, and even a dishwasher). Richard was very friendly and gave us some good tips for the area. Highly recommend for couples looking for a retreat while still within a short drive of activities!
