This property was a good find. The house needs to be updated, and has a weird layout. There is a bathroom upstairs that is blocked off which really makes the master bedroom less desirable. Loved the location right on the beach and all of the beach toys available for use. We had a great time and would stay there again.

Silver Strand Beach is always great and it didn’t disappoint this time. We were three generations, group of six, celebrating Easter and relaxing. The house worked well for us but it definitely needs some updating: baking pans were old and scarred up, towels were thin—and rental does not include beach towels (knew this going in but very surprising), bedding/sheets were thin. Never used equipment in garage bc weather was not warm and kids were too young for bikes, boards and ping pong. House was clean. Zan was very responsive when we had questions.

Everyone enjoyed Silver Strand Beach and the view from this home is unbeatable once we cleaned the windows. The property itself is nice overall with lots of space and sleeping accommodations. Not sure if I missed this, but the house set up like a 4-bedroom condo upstairs and a 1-bedroom condo downstairs. It worked out well for our multiple family get-away giving one family a little extra and much needed privacy. Beach access was easy.
The decor of this property is comfortable enough, we slept well in the beds and it was clean, but it’s is not fancy or elegant as I’ve experienced in other vacation rentals. Not a deal-breaker for me, but could be off-putting to some. Also, we visited in the winter and it rained so our outside time and use of the patio and deck furniture was limited. But we noticed that all those items: chairs, umbrellas, loungers etc all looked pretty dilapidated. That happens at the beach but had we visited in the summer and found that I would have been disappointed.
Last point: There is an apparent serious concern for noise at this property. There are signs and reminders EVERYWHERE. Not a big deal for us, but if I had stayed here with kids who played outside I would have been stressed out the whole time.

There's beach tar everywhere and it ruined our shoes. It is annoying to stay on the upper floor with only a toilet and no sink!
The house needs some TLC. Very small kitchen!! The location is quiet and that was nice.
If you visit Oxnard, you must go to Toppers Pizza! Best pizza I've ever have!

This house is right on the beach and had plenty of bedrooms & bathrooms for larger families. We paid the extra fee for use of the full master bathroom but didn’t use the tub. The kids did enjoy the ping pong table. I would recommend bringing your own beach chairs. There were plenty of TVs and a larger one in the main living area which was great for family movie night after a day at the beach. As others have mentioned the house does need some updating and maintenance.

The house is exactly how the pictures show in the VRBO Listing. It was a great location and amazing beach and sunsets. The house was large enough for our family and we had such a great time.
The house could use some upgrades including the ancillary listed items such as beach chairs that are mostly rusted or broken.
We enjoyed our vacation and would stay again.

All toys needed repairs. My 3yr old grandson feel thru seat straps on porch chair. The property needs work. No A/C. When hot you open windows. Most had no screens which in turn brought in bugs, mosquitoes. I paid a lot of money to stay in a beach house with no usable toys and according to management grumpy neighbors who will call police if you walk near there property or enjoy the outdoors after 10pm. Beach access good but waves in this area were pounding and had a strong back wash. Not suited for kids

Right on the beach! Walk out the door onto the beach. We saw a whale from right outside the first afternoon. The house was very clean and lots of room. Lots of great beach stuff there to use. Some stuff is in need of updates but nothing major (ie the poor fuseball players feet). There is no working hot tub. There is a sign on it saying this is not part of the description online but it is listed on the amenities on vrbo. But we certainly had plenty to do with the bikes, surfboards etc, so there were no complaints about that. The location was great to visit the channel islands too!

We celebrated our 50th Anniversary with family at this property. The floorplan was excellent. The main seating area was spacious, and we never felt crowded or uncomfortable. The beds were comfortable and bedrooms had adequate space. We loved the location on the beach. There is a great view from all three levels.
HOWEVER, the place is old and needs major repair. For example, my husband opened the glass door on the fireplace and it fell off in his hands. The spark deflector curtain behind the glass had dust balls, was rusted and the firebox was disconnected from the chimney. Luckily we found out about this prior to building a fire.
There is a beautiful view of the beach, but the view from two of the large glass panels, one on the second floor and one in the downstairs bedroom, was obliterated beause moisture had seeped between the double pane glass. Two shades on the beach (sunny) side were either tied up or remained down. There was a hole in the wall downstairs and rust on the furnace intake. Two of the bathroom sinks had rust around the hole and no stopper. The washing machine smelled of mold. The toys in the garage are rusted, and we were not sure the very old boogie boards would float.
Some of the house has been upgraded. but more needs to be done to make the home rentable.
Our family are all campers. We are used to roughing it. However, we felt the price of the rental was not commensurate with expectations for a beach rental.

What we could see of the master bathroom is gorgeous, white and gray marble but not available. House is older, water toys need to be replaced (deteriorating, broken, rusted) deck furniture is old and rusted.

The house was very clean and spacious, but with a large family room where we could spend all our inside time together. My family and I had a great extended weekend at this fully stocked beach house! Amazing location where you can walk right out to the sand! Multiple patios to watch the sunset from. The garage is full of all the water sport and beach toys you could ask for. We will be back!

The house was very clean and spacious, but with a large family room where we could spend all our inside time together. The beach was conveniently accessible from the back door, and the garage was packed with plenty of goodies like chairs, wetsuits, and even surfboards! Next beach trip I'm coming back!

Toppers pizza delivers and it is delicious.
The decor is 1980's which is what I believe makes this beachfront house affordable. if you are looking for modern and fancy- this may not be your house. If you are looking for a large space to enjoy nature & family this place is for you. Aleyna was very responsive to questions/concerns.

My family and I had a great extended weekend at this fully stocked beach house! Amazing location where you can walk right out to the sand! Multiple patios to watch the sunset from. The garage is full of all the water sport and beach toys you could ask for. We will be back!

Beds were comfy, kitchen well stocked with dishware and cook ware, outdoor seating on three levels to accommodate various needs. Property manager nearby and very responsive. Very over-priced. The property is very old and worn down. Nothing like pictures showed. The photos are very misleading. Items that are there to use for fun are in horrible condition. We had to go rent boards. They have very strict rules you don't know about until you can't get a refund. The beach isn't as close as it looks and at the water is a huge drop off. We had someone come on the property twice without notice and watered the sand and bottom deck. Super creepy! Definitely not worth the price! Won't be going back!

Very over-priced. The property is very old and worn down. Nothing like pictures showed. The photos are very misleading. Items that are there to use for fun are in horrible condition. We had to go rent boards. They have very strict rules you don't know about until you can't get a refund. The beach isn't as close as it looks and at the water is a huge drop off. We had someone come on the property twice without notice and watered the sand and bottom deck. Super creepy! Definitely not worth the price! Won't be going back!

The property was as advertised. It was right on the sand and just a short walk to the water. There was plenty of room for our group of 6 adults and 4 children. With three levels there was plenty of room to spread out if we wanted, but we spent most of our time on the beach or the back patio. The garage had a ping pong table which was very entertaining in the evenings. As well as lots of beach toys for the kids, including boogie boards and wet suits. Being three levels there are stairs to climb up and down, which wasn’t a huge issue for our group, but could be for less mobile individuals. The one thing that would have made it perfect is if there was a fridge on the bottom level. Since that is the only level with beach and patio access we spent all of our time down there, and it would have been nice to have the food and drinks down there as well. Thankfully we had an ice chest and we’re able to keep some drinks downstairs. Overall it was a great weekend and we’d definitely stay here again.

The arrival process was easy, the location of the house is located near grocery stores to stock up for the stay. We enjoyed everything the house has to offer, from the tv, board games, beach toys and most importantly the beach. We will definitely be coming back!
