We were in town for a conference and did not get to spend as much time at the property as we’d have liked. But the quiet, the views, the pond, the horses, the historical house and the hospitality of the owner are all everything we could have asked for in a quiet getaway. We will definitely be back!

An absolute dream! If you love American history, animals and horticultural, you won’t find a more perfect property! Agnes is lovely; the livestock is gorgeous! We can’t recommend Traveler’s Rest more enthusiastically! We look forward to returning soon.

Beautiful peaceful property and home as far as our eyes could see. A slice of paradise filled with history, horses dogs, hummingbirds and geese. We fished in the pond and lost count on how many blue gill and bass we caught. Agnes is an amazing host and made us feel like family. We walked the grounds always joined by her three sweet pups and happy friendly horses. We did not want to l leave and we hope to return one day. We cherish our fond memories. Travelers Rest is a diamond in the ruff.

We had such a wonderful weekend here. The property is amazing with horses and dogs running around, our dogs were loving the open space! Agnes is a wonderful host and was there if we needed anything, which we didn't. The house is very cutely decorated with old world charm and very comfortable for the three of us and 2 dogs. Thank you for a great time and look forward to staying with you again.
