Le assi larghe e segate a mano che compongono il soffitto rivelano il tempo originale di costruzione di questo cottage (1856) e il suo scopo originale (alloggio per i domestici del maniero). Ristrutturato nel 2012, vanta ora una moderna cucina completa e vasca da bagno, pompa di calore split-system e arredi di charme selezionati dal nostro designer d'interni professionista. Meglio di tutto, il cottage si trova nella nostra fattoria di cavalli e bovini di 600 acri, dove hai una splendida vista in tutte le direzioni, nessun rumore del traffico, infiniti sentieri nei boschi e un accesso rapido e facile a tutte le attrazioni della zona di Charlottesville. Inoltre, ha un enorme patio coperto sul retro, con ventilatori a soffitto, luci, una griglia a gas, mobili molto confortevoli e vista su molti dei nostri paddock per cavalli.

I nostri ospiti sono sempre elettrizzati dall'opportunità di godere di un ambiente pastorale così grande e bello. La nostra strada di accesso è lunga quasi un chilometro e attraversi stagni, pascoli e sezioni di cedro. In cima alla collina, troverai il nostro complesso agricolo, con la casa padronale (con questo cottage dei servi rannicchiata dietro), il nostro fienile con tetto a campana (ex fienile da latte), il nostro fienile del 1856 e altri edifici agricoli. Anche la Pond House e la casa del Dairyman sono in vista, così come l'anello di addestramento per le nostre scuderie. C'è un meraviglioso laghetto pieno di spigole e orate e forniamo l'attrezzatura da pesca. E ci sono miglia e miglia di sentieri nei boschi, due impressionanti altalene di corda, pozzi a ferro di cavallo, una vasca idromassaggio, vista sulle montagne, antichi bossi e cavalli e mucche da guardare. I nostri residenti selvaggi includono oche, tacchini, cervi, volpi, tassi, procioni, coyote (purtroppo), migliaia di rane e il serpente occasionale, puzzola. e topo di campo.

On first arrival, the property did not match the photos online as guests pull up to the back of the servants quarters. The paibt was peeling and the outside furniture was dirty. It became quickly apparent that the accomodation needs updating. The sofa was stained and the bed and bath linens had seen better days. I went out and bought my own bed and bath linens to use. The bed was lumpy and unconfortable. Despite newer kitchen appliances, i was unable to use the oven as it wad very dirty. It is a shame as the location is beautiful and the potential of the property could be wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed the walks and the horses.

We stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. We felt the freedom to walk among the vast farm and experience a number of beautiful animals all while getting waves from workers that passed by. We enjoyed this experience while only being a little more than an hour away from our home. Highly recommended by us.

I picked this place because it saidbit was onba horse ranch. We were at a paranormal investigation and i loved pulling in in the wee hours of the morning and the horses came over to see me. It was so cold that weekend so we want to come back when its warmer so we can sit outside and watch the horses. The servents quarter we stayed at was very nice. We knew we were going to be late getting and the owners were great about how we could get in!!

Selected this property as a getaway for a Christmas gift for my husband. We brought out dog and loved walking on all the trails on the beautiful farm. It was the perfect location for us to visit downtown Gordonsville and the wineries in the area. We will be back!

We always love staying at Wolftrap farm. We have been going there for years and its always perfection. The Servants Cottage is quiet, clean, cozy and exactly what we needed for a little get away. All the amenities you need are provided. The bed is so comfortable and the entire space is inviting and charming. We loved sitting on the porch watching the horses and take in the beauty of the area. We will be back of course.

This was our first time but not the last. Very nice place to relax and enjoy the view and horses. Creek was fun to walk in, fish pond actually has fish to catch. The people we encountered were nice, polite and welcoming. Where we stayed was very clean and we did not need one thing.

The property would be great for a big gathering! Multiple rentals at the site, but not a condo situation.

We had a great stay and totally loved the property. You need a new can opener though. I would recommend a Pampered Chef manual can opener. Otherwise it was lovely. Thank you

My wife and I, and the two pups had a super time on the farm. This is about our fifth time on the farm and first time in the Servant Quarters. We enjoy are stay every time we are there. Gordonsville and Orange are nice little towns with very tasty food and nice shops. Culpeper is great for a day trip-lots of history in the area.
The horses are a bonus on the farm, We stayed right by the nursery. Four little foals and their mommies were right outside our door.

This was my third stay at Wolf Trap, each time in a different rental. Each has been great. Watching the foals frolic in the pastures is a lot of fun.

The cottage was perfect for a quick getaway and included everything we needed. The scenery surrounding the cottage was breath-taking and we had the best time hanging with all the horses! We enjoyed walking around the farm with our dog who had the time of her life! We will definitely be back!!!

Wolf Trap Farm is beyond words amazing! All the natural beauty, peace, and quiet you would want! Every person we ran into there who worked the farm were so warm and kind. Kinda sad that the dates I wanted next year are booked, but we will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay in the Servant's Cottage. The location was great and the horses were so much fun to visit with! The cottage was comfortable and clean, but fairly basic. We had everything we needed for a two night stay, but a few more coffee mugs, some updated linens, and a few extra blankets and towels would be a helpful addition.

A clean and comfortable cottage in a lovely setting -- we enjoyed meeting the horses and dogs! The "game barn" was not what my daughter had hoped: just a few beat-up game tables covered with dead flies. Overall we enjoyed the stay.

First time user, and would absolutely stay again. Quiet comfort, kind staff, and friendly horses to enjoy. It is a working farm, so keeping bugs out and remaining dust-free is a challenge, but don’t let these minor things stop you from reserving.

My 10-year-old daughter and I enjoyed our visit to the Servants' Cottage at Wolf Trap Farm. Staff (and barn tenants) were friendly and helpful; horses were beautiful and interesting to watch in their paddocks; weather was perfect; recommended trail ride at Oakland Heights Farm was even better than expected; swimming hole was great fun and refreshing.
I will recommend that guests bring kindling with you if you intend to use the fire pit. Although there's ample firewood, we were only able to light the fire by burning our granola bar boxes, cereal boxes, and the like. Also, if you plan to roast marshmallows or hot dogs, bring skewers (we made it work with BBQ forks that were intended to be used on the grill, but they weren't ideal for the marshmallows).
We were very pleased with our visit and hope to return.

Lovers Retreat
We loved the Servants House and its location. We have been hitting historic small towns in Virginia, and this location was in the middle of several. Great place for a couple and full of historic charm.

Quaint Cottage
My husband and I were attending a wedding on the farm. We decided to stay on the property out of convenience and fell in love with this cute cottage. It was the perfect size! The kitchen was perfect too!

Beautiful property. There was a problem with the air-conditioning in our unit, so I sent an text to the property manager and they put us in a different unit. We appreciated the prompt service.

Great escape!
Perfect place to retreat out of the city. My kids (and our dog) got a chance to reconnect with nature; we hiked, fished, dug for worms, and pet the horses. The cottage was simple but had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked for preparing meals. Everything was clean and kept up. We will definitely visit again.
