Check in was so simple. Pandora was so lovely and kind. Lori was so quick and available if we needed anything.
The home was spotless....I mean so, so clean! Everything was stocked. The pictures on vrbo are great, BUT it's even more breathtaking in person. We will for sure be back.

Everything about this place was spectacular. If I'm being honest part of me didn't want to post a review because I want to keep this place a "hidden gem". The host and home were so amazing that I had to share!
Check in was seamless. Pandora met us on arrival, showed us around, and made sure to answer any questions we had.
The home is beautiful. Situated right on the lake with a private beach and dock. The Kayaks were a big hit with my 2 young children. For the parents we loved the heated gazebo, fire pit, and hot tub!
The location is also a huge plus. The home feels very private and tucked away in a wonderful neighborhood. We were still only a 3-5 minute drive from all the shops and restaurants, so going back and forth was a breeze.
Our family will definitely be coming back. Thanks again for the wonderful memories.

I can't say enough about this property. The cottage was beautiful and cozy and had everything we needed. We kayaked, played corn hole, and enjoyed relaxing around the fire pit watching the boats go by and taking in the serene sunsets. The lake view was simply spectacular! Our host Lorri was so friendly and easy to communicate with and her check in host Pandora made sure our stay was perfect. We'll definitely be back...we already miss it!

We absolutely loved staying at Lorri’s house. It was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy Big Bear Lake. It was calm, beautiful, and an all around restful get away. Lorri was wonderful start to finish. I can easily see why so many people choose to return. 💗

This is a charming and idyllic property that was a hit with friends and family of all ages. It’s extremely well appointed and meticulously maintained, and truly has everything you could want for a great summer vacation on the lake. The host and caretaker made the check-in process effortless and ensured we had everything we needed. We are rested, grateful and plan to return!

This is a wonderful lakefront property. We had a great time staying here and would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in Big Bear especially if you want to stay right on the lake. Loved sitting outside every morning around the fire pit drinking my coffee. Just beautiful.

Our family of 7 enjoyed our stay at the big bear lake house.
Kids liked the small sandy beach and enjoyed swimming in the lake. Fishing off the dock was great. The house itself was clean and cozy.
The jacuzzi was perfect for four adults.
Definitely recommend for a summer getaway!

This is a beautiful house on Metcalf Bay, minuted from the village and right around the corner from Halloway Marina. We loved our time here and look forward to coming back, the views are amazing and the dock, hot tub and fire pit are huge pluses. I had an amazing 50th birthday here and really enjoyed the spring mountain weather.

This is a beautifully upgraded home at Big Bear lake with fantastic views. Lorri was very friendly and easy to contact whenever necessary. My only issue was the ridiculously strict community rules and the work required during check-out: No music outside ever, even on low volume. No hot tub use after 10pm, even for well-behaved adults. Only 6 people were allowed at any time in the back yard (we were there to celebrate my twin daughters 30th birthday - my other daughter was staying at another house nearby and I couldn’t even have her and her fiancé over!!). We were told we could only park 3 cars in the driveway when there was a sign posted stating that 4 cars were allowed. We had to remove all trash from property and bring it to a facility where they made us manually sort through each and every bag, or be charged $10/bag left at the house. We had to strip all beds, wash all dishes and replace items in the correct cabinets (who can remember exactly where everything goes?). I certainly don’t mind cleaning up after myself, however I felt that the amount of work required when checking out, while paying ~$1,000 in fees, shouldn’t be necessary. Although it was a beautiful house with a very friendly and helpful owner, in hindsight, it was not worth the money paid with all the rules and fees. Time to find a more welcoming lake community to visit ;)

Pictures don’t do this place justice! The view out into the lake with snow all round us was majestic. We really didn’t want our stay to end! Lorri (owner) was super responsive and kept in touch with us regularly, with plenty of helpful information for planning our stay as well. Kenny gave us a nice little in person tour at checkin.
The cottage itself was clean and well organized and stocked, and very spacious for a family of 4. But the real highlight was that first morning, when we woke up and looked out into the backyard deck - the view was gorgeous and the whole setting with snow looking so pristine all around us was amazing! Everyone had fun playing in the snow and enjoyed the spa as well.
Appliances, internet connectivity etc were all top notch. The OLED TV in the living room was very well appreciated by everyone, during our cozy lounging around time.
We had a wonderful stay overall and would love to come back and experience this place in the summer too!

The house is like from a fairy take…. Lorri was the best host ever! Super caring and really willing to do everything to make our stay unforgetablle.
House was spotless clean and in a perfect location! Second day it snowed and it was like we were in a fairy tale…. Peaceful and quiet, yet sobbeautiful.
Lorri was the best host and Pandora brought us a present for our anniversary which was so thoughtful! We definitely wanna come back asap. There are not many hosta as Lorri…. Really genuine and caring about her guests. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!!

Quiet weekend in Big Bear with INCREDIBLE sunsets across Big Bear lake. Loved the firepit and bbq as well as the hottub. Great proximity to downtown and ease of access to property. Friendly and helpful staff. Would highly recommend.

Our family enjoyed everything about this property, but two nights was just not enough. This house was so comfy, cozy, and spacious. The view of the lake was amazing! I can't say enough good things about it and about our experience with the owner.

This house is the perfect size for a small group. Everything is there for your comfort and convenience. The owner is so responsive and helpful, and her local property managers are very professional and informative. And, really, the View is the best. Highly recommend. :)

This is a beautiful property however, upon arrival there were a couple things that we experienced. Silverware had food left on it and the oven mits as well. Had to wash all those items again. Sent the photos to the owner. The fire pit on the patio had a gas leak around the inner walls. When we contacted the owner she said the fire pit had been inspected recently. I sent her the photos. The dishwasher also was not in working order so hand washed everything. The owner sent someone over on our last night there to evaluate the fire pit and when we returns home from dinner we went out back for s’mores and immediately smelled gas. The person she sent over left the valve open so we were not able to utilize the patio on our final night. I contacted the owner about our frustration and her resolution and response to it was calling me “Karen”. Very inappropriate and disrespectful! Then sent me an e-mail days later saying she would credit me for the inconvenience and never did. Will never book this property again.

There is also no central air conditioning, which is odd in a luxury home. This is an issue as the home took a long time to cool off. The home should haven opened up much earlier so we would have been comfortable in the house. We did the tour with the Big Bear City mandated greeter, simple enough. Master bed was very comfortable, no TV in room. The lake level is down 16 plus feet so the dock was very from the house down a steep grade. We did make the trip down the dock to meet a friend with a boat for a quick ride. It's a bit of hike back up the hill to the house but all good. The same friends came back to dinner. At 7:30 Saturday night, while I prepared dinner, my wife and 2 of her middle aged friends who are school teachers, were laughing and talking on the deck. Apparently one of the laughs triggered an auto recording over a loud speaker contraption "Quiet Down or You Will Be Reported to the Code" from the hobo junction neighbor next door with 7 old trucks parked at his house. The neighbor and the noise moratoriums for any type of outside music to enjoy while on the deck. Just silliness when spending this amount per night on a property.
This is certainly not a reflection on the owner or her team, but the neighbor's loud speaker bellow was an irritation and big turnoff to say the least. I was annoyed for a few hours after the ridiculous remote bellow from the hobos next door.

This was our first vacation in Big Bear and it did not disappoint. The checkin process was smooth and the property manager was very kind and knowledgeable about the area. The house was perfect for our family, we had my parents with us and there was plenty for everyone to enjoy. My kids loved fishing off the dock and playing in the sand, my husband and I enjoyed the kyaks and my parents had quiet spaces to relax. We will definitely be back for another family vacation.

We enjoyed our stay here for a 40th Birthday celebration trip. Waking up to and going asleep to the beautiful views was the highlight for us. The town is lovely and pretty close. However, we preferred just to stay away from the crowd & enjoy the property. Mostly outdoors because of the beautiful surroundings.

My family and I LOVED our experience renting this property. Home was beautiful, it had everything we needed. The best part was the lake and location. A bit steep for my mother in law to get to the lake but overall we had an amazing time. Looking forward to the next time. There's no doubt that this place is incredible. Well appointed, clean and the views/backyard are spectacular. The rules and check-in process come across as slightly overbearing, but I suppose it should be expected for the rental regulations in Big Bear. My family and I were also a little put off by the "charges" you're at risk for during check-out. I understand the need to keep the place in great shape (which we did), but you're essentially asked to deep clean the entire property, take the trash to the dump, etc... even though you're paying top dollar and an exorbitant management fee. Overall...the place is wonderful (treat yourself), views are spectacular, and Lori (owner)/Kenny (check-in) are both very nice....just be prepared to overpay to some degree and try and look past the redundant check-in procedures and over the top check-out requirements. The memories you make here will almost certainly make up for them.
