It was awesome. 10-20 minute drive from everything we wanted to do in San Diego. 30 second walk to the beach. It was great.

We had a great trip, even with Hurricane Hilary.
The 3 queen beds i the common areas are full size futons complete with a metal bar down the center. There is NO WAY 2 adults could sleep on one, not even sure 2 kids could. (My teenage son was uncomfortable, nevermind the 2 adults that slept on the other 2) fortunately we didn't have 2 people for these 'beds'
On the second day while on the roof we watched someone enter the garage code to open the door & go in. Yes our car & personal items were there and the door to the studio unlocked. We ran down she said with attitude she was the property manager and the check in books and email advised the washer & dryer in the garage were "shared" We again read through the books & email and found nothing about this so i called the property manager. She is actually housekeeping and there is a broken washer in the apartments they manage across yhe street. He assured me she would not be back, but her laundry was left for us to deal with.
The house was clean and everything was in working order.

Stayed here with a gathering of myself and 9 other friends, and it couldn't have been better. I thought it actually was better in person than the pictures showed. incredibly close to the beach and walking distance to great bfast, coffee, and restaurants. Our host was responsive and flexible. Highly recommend

Super cute place close to beach down stairs gets a little noisy if there are kids upstairs so if you are not renting both levels and are looking for a quite place this probably won’t be what you are looking for. They did have all the accommodations you would expect. It worked perfect for me and my family, the only weird part about this property was that you had to go through a bedroom to access the roof top, but other than that we have no complaints had a great time easy check in process, if you are traveling from afar it is a very late check in time of 4 pm but again great place to stay with your big family

This spot was a perfect fit for our bachelorette party. The view of the beach and ocean from the rooftop was incredible. It had wonderful access to the beach, shops and restaurants. Communication with the property manager was very timely. Definitely recommend this place for a trip to San Diego!

Mission Beach Getaway
The property was close to the beach and had a wonderful rooftop view. Cleanliness of the house was not great. Lots of dust in the fans and some of the kitchen utensils needed to be washed again. The location is great but would like to stay again only if cleaning issue gets resolved.

Amazing Best Location in SanDiego
Incredible experience with our entire family. Lots of room and decks. Surf boards and body board available. We could see Dolphins from the deck. Waves were a blast! Bay was calm for paddle boarding. Lots of great restaurants. Close grocery store. Close to airy and sea world. Best Vacation Ever! Thank You

This place was perfect for a group looking to stay right near the beach and the pacific beach neighborhood. Within walking distance of countless activities and restaurants. Everything worked out great for our rental, would recommend to anyone!

The Vasquez yearly beach trip.
Overall we enjoyed our stay. However there a few things to improve upon. Some of the bed linens and extra bed covers were either dirty or stained. We also noticed bug problem on the 1st floor studio.

Our trip was wonderful, the two floors made it easy for everyone to have enough space to enjoy themselves and still be close all week. The location to the beach is perfect.

We had a wonderful time in San Diego! This house is 1 house away from the beach! We spent long days on the beach, and had dinner most evenings on the roof top deck. The patios and deck have great views. Most everything we needed was provided for us and it was a very comfortable stay. We rented both units, our young adults stayed in the bottom unit and the family with the baby stayed upstairs. We had enough room for our family of 9. Maurice was so helpful in getting us parked and into the unit. We look forward to coming again next year.

Perfect Location
The location is the best! You can walk to the beach, shops, restaurants, bars! The 2 units were great for our group of 8 + dogs. The views from the roof top was wonderful - a bit of a climb up there on my old knees but I did it almost every day! Not a lot of storage room in the studio kitchen for groceries but we made it work. We did have problems with the outside door locks, but could work around it by going out through the garage. We called about it & they came out to reprogram. Great place overall!

We stayed at 199- Surf Stars Combo over memorial day. The location was great and made it super easy to get to the beach. While the location was wonderful we had several issues during our stay. Once we arrived and started putting things away we noticed that there were ants all around the stove. We called management and they came out quickly and sprayed them. The man who came out kept asking us where the ants were coming from, and insisted that we should not be bothered by ants because we were just lucky to have a place to stay. The ants persisted throughout our entire stay. Also upon arrival we found a dirty towel left by the cleaning crew and hair in the refrigerator and in a few other spots around the house. A few other issues we had with the property were, no dresser or suitcase holders in the master bedroom, and were only provided a partial roll of paper towels for our 4 night stay (It stated in the description they were provided). We also had a very limited towel supply in bath towels and were provided no kitchen towels until we asked and then were given only one. The kitchen was not very organized and not very well stocked. Overall this location is wonderful but the property needs several updates including appliances and a much more thorough cleaning before new guests arrive.

Maurice, Ana, and his team at Beach King San Diego were an absolute delight to stay with and went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing stay. The two units fit 7 adults comfortably, the location was unbeatable (steps to the beach, minutes from SD, close to the airport), and the roofdeck was a dream.
Highly, highly recommended and looking forward to visiting again someday!

Great location. Rooftop was the highlight. Spent most of the time there until it became chilly in the evening. And very close to the beach and good Mexican food.
