We had a wonderful time at the lake home and were able to rent a boat from just down the street. The views were amazing and the location is great! Had trouble getting the upper level shower to work and the basement doors to lock. The home just needs a little TLC, but our overall experience was great! Thank you!

This home exceeded our Colorado lakefront rental expectations - by far!
Gorgeous 180-degree views of the lake and a gorgeously finished and decorated, well-stocked house, especially the very large kitchen. Direct access to the water. Very convenient to restaurants, entertainment, marina, National Park.
We cooked most of our meals at home, enjoyed the lake from our private dock, rented a pontoon on Grand Lake, strolled through charming downtown Grand Lake, hiked to a local waterfall, and drove Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park, a lot of which is above the tree line and is stunning.
Hard to find anything to complain about! We'll return!

We have been spending a week at Grand Lake with our kids and grandkids for a number of years. This was the best house yet! Spacious, comfortable, quiet, fabulous views, and on the lake. The property manager was responsive and took care of minor issues quickly. Despite the unseasonable weather, we had a great time and hope to return.

Beautiful home, perfect view. We had Thanksgiving at this property and enjoyed the Grand lake shops and Christmas festivities. We will be back soon.

My family went crazy when they walked in and saw the views of Shadow Lake and the mountains surrounding. This is not our first stay in Grand Lake so we have some comparisons. This property was Spectacular. Our granddaughter took the loft with the queen beds, we took the main floor and our kids took the lower floor. A 10 minute trip to the entrance of RMNP and 10 minute trip to town. We were up and at the park by 7AM to see the wildlife every morning. We hiked. We went fishing. We had wonderful meals in town and at the house with a well appointed kitchen. The flatware had some food on them which required us to rewash them but every place has their quirks and once you figure them out, it becomes nothing. We hope to get the chance to stay here again. Thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven with us!

We stayed at lakeside mountain chalet over Labor Day with a group of 11 people and 1 dog. WOW - the house is spectacular. There is so much wonderful space - both inside and outside. The options in terms of sitting outside and watching the lake are endless. The dock is lovely and easily accomodating our 2 sailboats. We had paddleboards as well and the easy access to the lake was perfect.
The kitchen is well equipped, the views from inside the house are unmatched, and the beds were absolutely plush and comfortable. Probably our favorite VRBO ever - we'll be back. If you've got a big group (and even a dog or two) - this is your place. Absolutely perfect for us! Thank you - and Samantha (the property house) - is lovely and kind.

This house worked great for our multi-generation family getaway. I really appreciate having king-sized beds in 3 rooms. We had 3 couples, so it was perfect. The kitchen is good sized and has good work space. We ate every meal at the house, so we appreciated the good quality pots/pans & other kitchen tools. The "coffee closet", as we called it, was a great space for our dry goods, dog food, and other extras. My favorite part of the house was all of the outdoor space. The decks are marvelous and the views are just what you hope for in the mountains. The yard is beautiful and we took advantage of it by having a photographer come and take family photos. The refrigerator ice dispenser didn't work properly and one toilet was a little wonky, but neither impacted the joy of our trip. The house is just 4-5 minutes from the town of Grand Lake. I gave the location 4 stars instead of 5 because the house is right on Hwy 34, so there was road noise. A note, in case you're bringing elderly folks, there are lots of stairs. They're needed, of course, because the house is on the side of a hill, but if your older folks aren't steady on their feet, this would not be a good house for them. The master bedroom is on the main floor, so that could work if they're able to get down the 7-8 steps at the front door.
Samantha, the concierge, was very responsive and answered our questions quickly.
Overall, this is a great place to stay. It's conveniently located and the setting is gorgeous. Very nice!

Beautiful house, loved the location on Shadow Mountain Lake, and proximity to the Town of Grand Lake. The boat dock was definitely a plus!

We love the location. It's close to downtown. The view is gorgeous. We actually rent a boat to tour the lake. It was such a fantastic experience, very relaxing and beautiful.

Beautiful views and Lots of stairs
This is a wonderful place for groups. We had a family reunion and the dock came in handy with the pontoon boat we rented for a day from Trail Ridge Marina.
There are a lot of stairs which made it difficult for my 88 year old mother. But she was happy just lounging on the deck and looking at the water.
We were also visited by deer and lots of birds.

The view of the lake with mountains surrounding you on al sides. There’s nothing like it. I can’t wait to come back in the future. The house is gorgeous, and getting to live like a millionaire for a weekend ain’t so bad either.

This is an amazing property with fantastic views and appointments throughout, it does not disappoint.
Communication was great but unfortunately, we were unable to get a few things resolved. The show in the lower level was not working and unfortunately, the repair person was unavailable so we were unable to get this resolved while we were there so we all had to use one of the other showers. There are some nice landscaping lights that we were unable to figure out how to turn on which made it difficult to use the lower outside patio as it was poorly lit. Lastly, there were a few cobwebs around the outside decking that seemed like they could have been clean up a bit.
The kitchen had everything we needed along with a good selection of spices. The bathrooms were clean and tidy and the linens were nice. Bedding is fantastic as well.
Overall a great place!

This property was beautiful. We had our son’s rehearsal dinner here and it could not have been more perfect. The house comes equipped with everything you could possibly need. The views from the deck are breathtaking.

Wonderful Family Home
This Home was really beautiful and very clean. We really enjoyed the stay with my family. The views from the deck are amazing and the amenities at the home made the stay exceptional. Shadow Mountain lake is a beautiful lake and the home is very close to the town of Grand Lake. This is a fabulous family vacation home - we will definitely stay again and recommend this spot for a great Grand Lake vacation!

We were rather disappointed by the bat situation. We felt the whole thing was a bit of a bait and switch. We were notified on the morning of our check in of the bat problem. At that point we had bags packed and were leaving our homes. "Grand Lake and surrounding lakes are the summer home and natural habitat for bats. You will see them around the house and deck just after sunset and before sunrise. Please be assured that there are no bats in the house as they roost around roof. You can expect cleaners every morning around 8am to clean both decks and furniture.” I would argue that the number of bats at the property far exceeds that of just a few in the eaves. Every evening we saw dozens and dozens dropping out of the corner of the roof. This forced us inside earlier than we would have liked every night. We even had one crawl out of the patio furniture and onto the shoulder of one of the people in our party. While we didn’t see any within the living space of the home, there is no doubt in my mind that the bats have infiltrated into the attic of the home. Second, if you are setting the precedent that you are going to clean the bat poop, you better do so. We did not once see any cleaning crews come around to clean the decks. Instead, we had to take it upon ourselves to do so. We had many small children with us and we were concerned about their exposure to the large amounts of bat droppings. The icing on the cake? I just received a property damage claim for a broken vacuum. We never once touched the vacuum during our stay.

The property was great, very easy to find and accessible.
This property was great, and exactly what I was looking for. Had a gathering of friends from out of town for a much-needed vacation on Grandlake. The kitchen is fully stocked to cook and perfect location on the water with beautiful views.

Great Get Away
We spent Christmas week at this beautiful property and it was absolutely a wonderful stay. The house was exactly as pictured and the property managers couldn't have been more helpful. It was clean and ready when we arrived. It did not disappoint. If the opportunity presented itself, we wouldn't hesitate to book this house again.

Dirty and too many things were broken/not working!
Dirty house, VRBO sent me the incorrect address of the property home, there were numerous items that were broken/not operational, property owner never had a service tech out to fix the most important items while we were staying there!

Complete rip off!!!
Spectacular views of Shadow Mountain Lake! Property in sad state of dis-repair...swarms of bats every night on the two decks...unable to use patio furniture or let grandchildren on decks due to bat droppings everywhere...we spent an hour every morning cleaning up bat poop...three of the exterior doors would not lock, so we had to block the doors with furniture for security purposes...even with mild temperatures (highs in the low 70’s), the second floor bedroom was too hot for our guests to sleep in, so they had to sleep downstairs on the floor, cookware was too suspect and dirty to cook any meals at the property. Only one of the TVs worked and the freezer in the refrigerator was not working properly. This property is for sale and the owners obviously gave up a long time ago with routine maintenance which is really sad given that it was no doubt a top-rate property at one time. The inside smelled so strongly of bug spray when we checked in...we had to open all of the windows and leave for a few hours. My brother and his wife stayed in this property 5-6 years ago and recommended it to us...if you have it booked, I would do everything I could to get out of the booking and switch to another property. This house is misrepresented on VRBO!

Fabulous cabin in the perfect location with a stellar view
This cabin is truly amazing!! What a stunning view from multiple decks and patios. It is in very close proximity to the town of Grand Lake and marinas. We had six adults and four children and we were all very comfortable. The interior is gorgeous and has all the accommodations you would need and then some....We will be staying there again for sure!!

Perfect location on the lake!!
The home is very well equipped, beautiful and the location was fabulous; possibly the nicest home and location on the lake.
We had a few minor issues so overall rating is a 4 out of 5. The managers made it right in the end. Wonderful family vacation. Minutes from Grand Lake and RMNP. We even had a private chef come in a night to cook and enjoy the wonderful upper deck.

Beautiful mountain lodge on the water!
The property managers work hard to keep up with a big home that is very custom in terms of its working parts. Decks, dock, outdoor spaces stunning.
Rooms, beds, furniture all top shelf.
Owners could do better stocking basics like trash bags and the scores of little things that then would not require an immediate run to the Mountain Grocery Store.
Location is pristine and everything you’d want in a setting.
