Casa fronte oceano con vista mozzafiato a 360 ° sulle acque turchesi delle Bahamas, dai balconi anteriori e posteriori.

La cucina a pianta aperta e la zona pranzo soddisferanno tutti. Se vuoi cenare fuori, l'area del Deck ha un grande tavolo in grado di ospitare 8 persone.
La casa si trova in frutteti maturi con oceano sul retro e una spiaggia sabbiosa dall'altra parte della strada di fronte (50yds di distanza) a cui si accede tramite il ristorante Sandbar, Il lato dell'oceano è abbastanza profondo per nuotare / fare snorkeling e mantenere una barca vicina durante il vostro soggiorno.
Abbiamo piccole barriere coralline nella parte anteriore con polpi residenti, pesci palla e i soliti pesci di barriera dai colori vivaci. Raggi e tartarughe che passano, c'è sempre qualcosa da vedere. Immergi la verga nell'acqua e quasi sicuramente ne avrai abbastanza per i pesci grigliati per cena.
House è isolata ma non remota, ed è solo una breve corsa in golf cart (10 minuti) da tutte le strutture di Spanish Wells Town, Bar, Ristoranti, Negozi, Supermercati, Clinica, Medici e una splendida spiaggia a mezzaluna con calde acque turchesi e setosa sabbia bianca. La spiaggia è fantastica per adulti e bambini in quanto l'acqua inizia molto poco profonda ed è protetta da una scogliera al largo.
Il nostro bar e ristorante più vicino è "The Sandbar" di fronte alla casa sulla spiaggia. Il cibo è buono e il personale cordiale, anche a 1 minuto a piedi dalla porta principale, 30 secondi se sei disperato.
Spanish Wells è anche il punto in cui il traghetto veloce "Bo Hengy" da Nassau arriva ogni mattina alle 10:00 e poi viaggia a Harbour Island a 30 minuti di distanza e rientra nel pomeriggio. I traghetti del governo per Eleuthera partono e arrivano ogni pochi minuti per servire i clienti per l'aeroporto North Eleuthera che dista circa 25 minuti.
La vista è sbalorditiva e la casa ne fa parte, dall'alba al tramonto sulla veranda non mi stanco mai di fissare il mare, con un drink in una mano e l'aragosta fresca alla griglia.

Just beautiful. A great place for R and R. However, flies are a huge problem at certain times. It seems like we chose that time. And you must be armed with bug spray. Other than that, our stay was magical!

Location is beautiful, and we very much enjoyed our selves. However there were two issues that should be noted. The house is in need of maintenance. The refrigerator is poshest and needs replaced. When on vacation I don’t set an alarm, the fridge had other ideas. Could use an investment.
The 2nd point is that I felt the photos and video gave the impression that the access to the water was easy, it was not. The “ramp” to the water is rocky and with waves and wind is difficult to navigate. Finally we expected two kayaks there was only one and it had a leak that wasn’t apparent until 50 yards off shore.

House was ok. Furniture is stained. Water was the main issue. It was black and smelled terrible. We bought several gallons of water to sponge bath and to drink/cook etc. No TV in Master. Bedspread was stained. Towels and linen had stains. Wouldn’t rent again.

We had a really great stay at Justin’s house. The house is in a beautiful location with absolutely stunning views. Justin was extremely helpful and kind. Highly recommended. Thanks for helping us to have a great holiday!

We have throughly enjoyed our time at the Blue House, the kids had so much to do in Spanish Wells and we had our privacy on Russell Island, and there is nothing like privacy when you are on vacation ! Justin the owner responded quickly to any and all questions we had, we will definitely be back!

Spanish Wells is a beautiful island. We were three woman traveling - so safety was my main priority. Once we got there and saw the house, the deck and got in that magical water... any stress or worry melted away. You can kayak and snorkel right off the house - make sure to bring some water shoes. House is as pictured. Only drawback was the taste of the tap water - however they left us a 5 gallon water which we used to make ice / brush out teeth / etc. It really wasn't an issue other than a small surprise when you first brushed your teeth or shower. We rented a golf cart and went all over town, also took the ferry to Eleuthera. Boat tour with Crazy Roy is a MUST - Franklin our caretaker was great. He lives next door and you only seem him if you want to - he won't intrude but will always respond. Justin - homeowner responded to my logistic questions like an old friend lending me his house. I can't wait to come back and see my new friends again!!!!!

The good: The house is in a beautiful location on the ocean on Russell Island. We loved snorkeling, kayaking, relaxing in the back yard hammock and on the beautiful sand beaches around Spanish Wells. The caretaker (Franklin) and his wife were super nice and helpful during our stay.
The bad: There is a lot about the house that needs maintenance. The oven did not work (not a big deal, but wish we had known before grocery shopping). Midway through our stay the icemaker/freezer started making an extremely loud noise and we had to keep the icemaker off (again a minor inconvenience). A bigger issue was the air conditioning units in the living room and upstairs bedrooms starting leaking a lot of water. The repairman came the next day and put more freon in them, but the upstairs one never worked right and it was extremely hot in that bedroom and upstairs hallway. The second major issue was we ran out of water six days into our stay. Frankie switched us over to a reserve tank and the water smelled strongly of sulfur the rest of our stay. Everything in the house (including us and our clothes) reeked of the sulfur smell. Also, a previous review from several years ago mentioned the upstairs master bedroom mattress being worn out. I guess it was never replaced because sleeping on that bed was like sleeping on concrete. It was uncomfortable enough that I ended up on the couch several nights.
We would definitely go back to Spanish Wells, but would find a different house to rent next time.

Spanish Wells is a great place to unwind. The locals are accommodating and friendly. Didn’t have a bad meal and the Kaliks were always cold! Love to come back.

If you’re looking for a quiet place to spend time on a beatiful island, this is it! Justin’s place is on the westernmost end of Russell Island/Spanish Wells, facing the Atlantic Ocean. There are neighboring homes, but the town is a 10 minute golf cart ride away. Across the street is the Sandbar restaurant, which has good food, drinks, and it’s own beach, so that worked nicely for dining out without having to drive. In town, the Shipwreck is the place to go! The property and home have a nicely sized yard, and while there is no beach, there is a large deck out over the water, and on a calm day the turquoise water is great for swimming - my husband did a 1 mile swim out there one morning and raved about it. We sat out there in the mornings on the lounge chairs, too. The house worked great for us and our teenage children, everyone had a nice room, privacy, and the house felt secure and safe. The W/D worked well, but are a bit worn and there was no soap or supplies. The wifi worked well, no issues with power (our friends were staying on south Eleuthera and they had power issues twice that week), and there were plenty of sheets/towels/etc. It’s a great casual home for a true getaway! The road it’s on made for a nice running route as well, taking advantage of the distance from town to have plenty of time to enjoy the birdsong, the views, and the gardens along the way. We would consider it again when we return to Eleuthera!

My husband and I stayed at the Blue House in February and had a wonderful time. It's a lovely setting to read or just watch the cruise ships go by. We took a swim in the back at least twice a day and with the privacy that surrounded us...bathing suits were optional. The house is also beautiful, spacious and functional for just a couple or a whole family. The owner did a great job providing information about the island and the house. Having our own personal care-taker, who lived up the road, wasn't too bad either. James is the best! If crowds, bars and casinos are your thing then don’t stay here but if you love being surrounded by beautiful scenery, visiting a friendly island and want to truly relax then book your vacation at the Blue House on Russell Island. We plan on going back next year!

If you are looking for clean, quiet, empty beaches with a lovely warm sea then this is the place to go, also the accommodation was amazing with a large front and rear garden and a jetty at the back so you can fish or dive from. absolutely an amazing wonderful relaxing place to visit and stay.

The Blue House is a wonderful place to stay while enjoying the wonders of Spanish Wells/Russell Island. The owner and caretaker are incredibly helpful and easy to work with. The house accomodated our extended family with ease. Private beach is amazing for snorkeling or just looking out to sea. I would highly recommend a visit to this house and this island!

We had a great time at the Blue House. Stayed over xmas '08 and the weather was gorgeous. We swam and snorkelled everyday. Urchins, star fish, sea horses, barracuda, sand dollars, sting rays.
Kids had a great time swimming at both beaches and is very safe for the little ones.
The house accomodated all 11 (+ an infant)of us very well. The town of Spanish Wells is small and friendly.
The most beautiful beach we have seen yet.
A very quiet relaxing vacation amid a safe community. Highly recommended for those looking for just that.

We had a lovely time at the Blue House. Two weeks was not enough! The children loved it. We loved the beaches and snorkeling in front of the house and across the street. We were greeted by a family of dolphins several times.
The house is very well equipped and handled our crowd of six adults and three children very easily. There is no need to use the ac as the cross breeze is fantastic and nice and cool at night.
Justin was a real pleasure to work with and the people of Spanish Wells are lovely.If you want relaxation and being away from everything this is your place!
