This home is spacious, comfortable, and has the best views. It’s quiet. Just 1 mile south of town. Easy 20 min walk which we enjoyed. Bette went above and beyond to make the stay enjoyable. Impeccable cleanliness and decor.

This beautiful Cope Cod house was clean as a whistle. The furnishings were classy and so comfortable.
The house was well stocked with all the necessities you could ask for and some sweet little extras.
The view from any angle upstairs or on the large deck were stunning. The neighborhood was quiet. The house was an easy walk to town.
We felt like we were coming home each time we returned from an adventure on Friday Harbor.
We ended our vacation with wonderful memories and full and grateful hearts.

Loved Bette’s place! Cozy, clean, well stocked kitchen, super comfortable beds, great fluffy towels and robes and location just one quick mile from ferry terminal and downtown. A lovely bottle of wine awaited us upon arrival and a warm welcome by Bette. We grilled, set on the deck in the Rockin chairs and rented ebikes down the street from San Juan Cycle. Highly recommend Bette’s place!!

Great visit to San Juan island. The space was accurately described in the listing. It was a bit far for us to walk to Friday harbor (with a toddler) but we didn’t have an issue finding parking. Host had great communication and we appreciated the spacious, clean interior. The home is well stocked with items for cooking and has plenty of seating. Lots of towels, blankets and essentials like tp and soap are provided! The front door has a large window and doesn’t have a covering, making it feel less private, as the door is right in front of the stairs and faces another duplex. Window coverings in bedrooms do not filter or block light, so if you go to bed early, it’s still pretty bright in the summer! Otherwise the space has everything we needed for a comfortable home base for exploring the island.

I can not speak highly enough of Bette and her lovely home. We loved sitting out on the deck to enjoy the wonderful views over a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at night. The property is close to town but still far enough away for a very peaceful stay. Bette is amazing and very responsive for any questions or needs you may have. We definitely want to go back and I highly recommend booking!

First off, Bette is a great host. Communication was outstanding and finding the property was a breeze once off the ferry. The home had everything we needed for our stay and the location is close and convenient to Friday Harbor. We also spent a wonderful afternoon just enjoying the view and grilling on the porch overlooking the ocean. The bed in the main bedroom is incredibly comfortable. Finally, we forgot our white noise machine and Bette was generous enough to ship it back to our home. I can’t say enough about the property and host. When we return to the islands, this is where we will stay.

We absolutely loved staying here. Everything was perfect and the decor was beautiful. The bedrooms, the bathrooms, the kitchen, the family room, the cozy nook at the top of the stairs, and the beautiful view from the deck and the comfy bathrobes made our stay enjoyable. The ease of checking in and checking out along with fantastic communication with Bette. We will definitely rent from her again next time we are up to visit our son and his wife.

Two words to summarize this home... THE VIEW! The view of the water was amazing and so relaxing to enjoy. The home was amazingly clean and as described. Bette was great to communicate with and available if we needed anything. We wouldn't hesitate to return!

This is by far the cleanest, best appointed vacation rental we have ever stayed in. The view was great and the location was a very quick drive (or ~15 minute walk) to town. Highly recommend.

This was a lovely property that provided everything we were looking for a more. Definitely the most well-equipped home we've every stayed at.....no detail was missed. The views were amazing, the house immaculate, and the location was perfect. Our host was very nice and accommodating. We highly recommend and hope to return ourselves in the future.

The unit is beautifully decorated and very tidy and organized. It's close to downtown and all other places to visit are within easy driving distance. There is a nice view of the water from the deck and it is very peaceful location.

We stayed at Bette’s Vrbo for 5 nights in mid-September and couldn’t have been more pleased with the place itself, the location, and the many ways big and small that Bette went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The apartment is immaculately clean, very comfortable, and close enough to town to get there in just a couple of minutes by car but far enough away for it to be quiet and private. We loved sitting on the rocking chairs on the deck that overlooks a small bay with a tiny island in it. Bette provided every kitchen utensil and pot you could need (far more if you’re a baker!), as well as plenty of towels and toiletries, and left a huge binder with tons of information on where to go, what to do, and where to eat if you don’t want to cook. She even provided binoculars! The WiFi was a bit spotty, as was the TV, but we were far too busy doing activities or relaxing on the deck to mind. Truly, the only downside to our stay was that we had to leave Bette’s at all!

I can’t say enough good things about this property and the host. The home was extremely clean, with two bedrooms downstairs that share a large bathroom with two sinks. Upstairs is a decent size kitchen that opens up to a big family room. As a family of foodies we had planned to go out to dinner at least three of our four nights. The view from this home was so spectacular we ended up cooking every night at the house. If you are a family or a group of friends that likes to cook, this house has it all. Every utensil and baking sheet included. Bottom line I can’t wait to come back!

This is by far the best VRBO property we've rented (in over 50 rentals). Bette has really thought of everything you could need for your stay. The kitchen is well stocked without including items that you would never use on vacation. There is room in the pantry for your groceries if you want to enjoy a meal at home. We loved having breakfast while taking in the beautiful views of the water. After a long day of activities (biking, hiking, kayaking), we hung out on the balcony and watched the sun set. The location is perfect for access to everything on the island or to the ferry to visit the other islands. We rode bikes directly from the house. This was truly the perfect getaway for our family (2 adults and 2 teenage boys). We would definitely book with Bette again.

We had a great stay in Friday Harbor. The House was gorgeous and immaculate with a beautiful water view and outdoor space to enjoy it. The beds were comfortable and having 2 bathrooms was such a treat for our family. My daughter loved the little reading nook. I think she would have slept there if I let her. The house is about 1 mile walking from downtown and less than 5 minutes driving, super convenient for dinner or a coffee. We would definitely recommend this gem!

This is our second stay at this location. The first trip was so great last year that we invited another couple to join us this time around. The location is in a nice quiet area that is just a short drive or walk into town. The views from the deck are amazing and we found ourselves out there quite often just relaxing. The home is very well appointed with anything we needed, Bette has really thought of everything. We highly recommend this location for a trip to the island.

My two adult daughters and I took a short girls' trip to PNW and were fortunate Bette's place was available. It was the best Vrbo we have ever rented, hands down. It was spotlessly clean, smelled great, and was conveniently located near Friday Harbor Ferry Station. Bette thought of every convenience, including a Discovery Pass for parking at the State Parks. She has a thoughtfully-prepared notebook outlining instructions for the rental and listing all kinds of activities for her guests. We were very impressed with the property and

This property was perfect for our family of 4! Just close enough to town but far enough away to feel we still had some privacy. There was beautiful views and the reading spot that turned out to be my favorite place. There were a few very minor plumbing issues but the host was wonderful and dealt with them right away.

This is a beautiful home with gorgeous views of the water. It is set up very well and well stocked for guests. Bette was very responsive with questions. It's an easy 1 mile walk to town and a very quiet setting. Would highly recommend staying here on a trip to Friday harbor!

Truly a find!
Wonderful light and spacious indoor and outdoor spaces. Well supplied and very comfortable! We hope to return soon. Our granddaughter loved it as much as we did!

This home was absolutely delightful. Very clean and well stocked with all the comforts

One can make a lot of great reviews and mention all sorts of perks. But Bette's place is simply the best, most beautiful, well thought & thoroughly equipped (with generous personal touches and thoughtfulness) place I have stayed and is simply unmatched in quality too. We are so grateful she shares. :-) We had a most restorative visit - so easy and wonderful to just "be" both indoors and outdoors. Thank you!
