This is a wonderful property. My lower rating is the result of all the pollen and tree droppings covering everything. Of course, this may be due to the timing of the year and is situational and may not have any bearing for others.. But unfortunately, I had to cut my stay short because of the severe pollen which created an adverse allergic reaction, making it intolerable for me to stay. I do not have a history of allergies and this was my first time experiencing such a reaction. There is no way of knowing that would be a problem. So sad because the property is so beautiful and ideally located.

As usual our stay at Julie’s house in St Helena was comfortable and enjoyable. We have stayed here a number of times and it is always perfect for us. It comes with a bonus called Bullseye, who came to see us several times each day.

My wife and I are thinking about moving to Napa Valley in a few years and wanted to get more of a feel of what it’s like to truly live and work from there as opposed to always being there on vacation. This house worked out perfectly for us. It had the best stocked kitchen of any VRBO that we’ve ever stayed at as well as very well-stocked with sundry items such as paper towels, plastic bags, toilet paper, etc.. The house was very well laid out for two people as well as being roomy enough for us to have guests a couple times during our five weeks stay. It had a huge backyard that felt like the biggest backyard in all of Saint Helena. Great for relaxing as well as doing a little entertaining back there.
The town of Saint Helena itself is charming and full of restaurants and interesting little shops. Most were walkable from the house. Our favorite was the burger and salad and old fashioneds at the happy hour at the Charter Oak restaurant. Market was another favorite restaurant.
Owner was very responsive to all of our questions, and even managed to get Comcast over to the house on Easter day to fix a little Internet problem that came up. I wish I had the same sort of sway with Comcast.
Overall a fantastic stay and would highly recommend it for others

Just a beautiful week in St Helena. A short walk to town. The accommodation was very well equipped, we were wanting for nothing. Beautiful front porch as well as a lovely backyard.

The property is really beautiful and clean. Comfy bed and quiet , peaceful neighborhood. I was working in the area so stayed here for 7 nights. I never met the owner but we communicated via email. This house really made a busy trip extremely relaxing and I was always happy to get back up to St Helena from Napa in the evenings. I made dinner most nights in the beautiful kitchen and sat in the peaceful garden there a lot. Everything was perfect!

Anniversary in Napa
Our stay at Julie’s home was a wonderful experience. The town of St. Helena is ideally situated in the Napa region. There were many restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. The neighborhood is charming with a residential feel. The home is a beautiful oasis and the perfect place to unwind and relax after a busy day of wine tasting. Julie has stocked the house with everything you need. If you want to cook with all the amazing ingredients available in the area, the kitchen is very well appointed with high end appliances and amenities. The house has a collection of artwork and antiques that add that unique character and charm. The backyard is an extension of the home and a beautiful spot to have a glass of wine and relax. The gardens and landscaping are lovely and the yard seems to extend forever - it is a very large space. We enjoyed the different seating areas and bbq as well. A beautiful home in an idyllic setting.

St Helena. I discover the town on bike trip a few years ago and was convinced it would be the ideal base for a Napa trip and it was perfect. Location was five star, located in a very pleasant and quiet neightborhood, with a short walk to everything in town.
We rode our bikes on the leafy lanes that criss-cross the valley as well as the small rolling hills up Silverado Trail to Calistoga. The bike trip down to Oakville Grocery and back up route 128 to Main Street St Helena was entirely flat with plenty of room on the shoulder for bikes.
So many places to enjoy and discover in St Helena. And, such a great home. We will be back!

Great place in the Napa Valley -- maybe the best place
What you get is even better than what you see online. Perfect location. Compact one story house but filled with everything you need AND the most amazing backyard ever. The perfect place to hang out, read, nap, sip a glass of wine, have an outdoor meal (multiple tables and seating locations you can choose) or just be. The master bedroom doors also open onto this amazing yard which is an added bonus.
The owner Julie is open, accessible kind and responsive. She wants you to have a great stay. if something isn't right she makes it better.
Could not recommend more and the best way we can prove that is by saying that we just completed our second extended stay in this beautiful property.

The pictures said WOW, the price was quite reasonable we thought, and Julie was always very charming, friendly and willing to help. The arrival was as expected, no problems, and we found the house exactly to our liking. The excellent flow through living space culminating in a very practical, large and well stocked kitchen, was very lovely, as was the main bedroom, with its gas fireplace( great early morning and evenings) and sliding patio doors to garden. Excellent wifi. and tv with Netflix, Prime Video etc. The huge back garden needs some organization and love, but was very private, and with 2-3 different area to sit, eat, drink etc. Peaceful, quiet, safe location, saw the Milky Way every night!!! Walk to Main Street in less than 5 minutes, great Cook St Helena bistro there. We ate in most nights and found that easy to do. We wholeheartedly recommend Julie's lovely house on Allison Street in St Helena, and would never consider anywhere else now in Napa Valley area. Beats the fancy hotels on every score!

perfect location
My husband and I stayed here for 6 weeks to enjoy all of Napa Valley and this house was a perfect spot - great location - easy to get to everything the valley has to offer. Walking distance to everything in St Helena - shops, restaurants, tasting rooms. The yard was completely fenced in and was beautiful and private. I really appreciate the property being dog friendly and Julie (the owner) is 5 stars - she went above and beyond to make our stay amazing!

This home is in a great location. You are in walking distance from many restaurants and shops in downtown St. Helena. It’s a great location. The house was everything the pictures showed it to be and more! We were there for a month and really enjoyed our time in the house. Hope to be back soon!

Beautiful place- Garden is AMAZING!
This property is a wonderful place to stay in the beautiful town of St Helena. It was walking distance to downtown and centrally located for fabulous wineries. But the best thing about this property is Julie the owner! She is so attentive and helpful. She is concerned about making sure the house is well maintained, she has the gardens professionally serviced once a week and her response time with any question is immediate! We couldn’t have had a better stay. Highly - highly recommend!

Work from home in Paradise
Julie's home is beautiful. The backyard is so private and gives you lots of places to relax and get away. The beds were super comfortable. There were 2 desk set-ups for us to be able to work from home. The proximity to St. Helena is great. Julie is very responsive and attentive.

We went to Farmstead three times and walked through the holiday decorated town. Wholeheartedly recommend this delightful home.

Napa Valley Trip during Covid
Beautiful, classy home with stunning back yard. Within walking distance to some of my favorite restaurants in the area. The home was spacious, comfortable, and offered privacy. I would definitely stay here again if given the opportunity. The owner was very easy to contact and quick to respond. A PERFECT get away in a perfect location.

Jewel of a house
We had a wonderful stay! The house is definitely a jewel inside and out. The gardens are gorgeous! Everything you could want for a comfortable stay is provided. The beds are comfortable too! It’s location is fantastic. You can easily walk to the quaint downtown. Both Safeway and Sunshine Grocery are within easy walking distance. Julie, the owner, is incredibly responsive and so helpful! Overall, our stay there was fabulous.
Be sure and visit the Olive Oil store on Allison Street! It’s a great little Italian market.

- [ ] Privacy everywhere with beautiful redwoods, colorful trees, shrubs and blooming plants...gardenias were just blooming when we left
- [ ] Our dogs enjoyed the huge and safe yard. We were pleased there are so many dog-friendly restaurants and wineries.
Even after a month my husband and I would discover more thoughtful touches. (Even the paper products were quality). Clever, unexpected whimsical decor along with a mix of traditional and modern art. I think my favorite is the mermaid sitting in a chair with a pillow behind her head. I regretted removing her pillow when the rains began.
Julie was quick to respond and very gracious. Her love for the home is obvious. There’s no way a renter would regret a stay here. Everything was perfection, and we are grateful we found Julie and her home.

30 Days in Paradise
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in St Helena and at Julies Home. We felt like we were at home there and, although it is always nice to get home, we almost felt as if we were leaving home. We will be back again (for the third time) as this home fits our needs perfectly. Bullseye is an added bonus that we loved. Julies called us several times to make sure all was well and she is a very thoughtful Hostess.

“Enchanted April”
Take yourself to “Enchanted April”, the scene where our disoriented and exhausted heroine, unsure whether her attempted escape from a dull and dismal March was a horrid mistake, awakens in a dark and unfamiliar bedroom with strands of brilliant morning sunshine streaming through slight cracks in the shutters on the French doors to the outside. She opens the shutters and steps out to a scene so lovely it takes her breath away. This was my moment here on the first morning. I had booked this house more than a year in advance as a retirement celebration (last day 03/31/19) for the entire month of April. My dear husband was at best skeptical, at worst resentful of being away from his home for as long as a month. This garden worked its magic on both of us over the course of thirty days in many small quiet ways. I found myself buying nail polish for the first time in about twenty years because I finally actually had unbitten nails to use it on. My husband slept— ALL NIGHT. Our mornings consisted of strolls to buy Bouchon Bakery bread and have cappuccino and English muffins at Model Bakery. The chef in me delighted in the kitchen with that amazing Wolfe stove. The roses bloomed everywhere all month long, becoming more and more beautiful as the days progressed. The garden? I hope the neighbors were not strictly country music lovers because we surrounded ourselves with our classical and operatic favorites every day. The place even provided a cat who visited several times daily to mooch whatever she could. We made it worth her while. I have just rebooked for another April.
