The cabin is just as advertised, if not better. Views from inside and out are spectacular, and we especially enjoyed watching sunsets in front of the outdoor fireplace. The hosts are most accommodating, and nothing has been overlooked in furnishings. We also very much enjoyed the peace and privacy of this beautiful cabin.

We enjoyed the couples retreat and the peaceful solitude and view of the mountains.
The outdoor space, especially the small outdoor fireplace on the front porch was magical at sunset. The back porch was roomy with comfortable seating and a nice grill.
While there are beautiful hiking trails throughout the property, the access to flat walking area is steep and challenging for non hikers.
The primary access road is winding and is dark at night. The secondary roads were in great shape but steep.
The indoor space was roomy and well appointed featuring a beautiful timber frame structure. The mountain views flow directly into the spacious living, dining and kitchen areas.
We had a cold windy, rainy day and burned a fire all day long. The draw was impressive and burned very clean.
The kitchen was well equipped and easy to create our holiday meals.
Stairs are required to access the full bath and sleeping area. This property would not be desirable if you have limited mobility.
Patty was a great communicator including accommodating a change in our plans and arranging an early check in.
We certainly plan to return.

Absolutely wonderful property - perfectly located. This home is stunningly beautiful and meticulous. Property owners were very attentive, there was nothing they didn't think of when preparing this cabin for guests. We had rain, we had snow, we hiked the wonderful trails and burned a lot of firewood. It was so refreshing and comfortable we skipped the Biltmore. We were talking about a return trip long before our stay ended. Our only regret was not booking for at least a week. Thank you for sharing this property.

We loved the craftsmanship of this cabin and the furniture and the many special features. The views were incredible! We enjoyed hiking the trails right out our door (used the thoughtfully provided walking sticks), reading in the comfortable patio rockers, relaxing with a fire in the outdoor fireplace (plenty of dry wood) and cooking in the well-appointed kitchen. We thoroughly enjoyed this property and look forward to another visit.

We LOVED this beautiful cabin. Nested in the woods with a beautiful view of the Blue Ridge Mountains and surrounded by nature.

Exactly as advertised. Be aware that the gravel driveway is very steep but you would expect that on a mountain. The views and amenities are top notch. It is the perfect place for a restful and relaxing stay.

Wonderful place! We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area. Everything was better than expected. The highlight of our trip was the momma bear and her 3 cubs playing in the tree right beside the porch. Can’t wait to visit again!

This place is amazing. On the one hand, you are in a very private retreat with beautiful mountain views and surrounded by flora and fauna, yet you are only ten minutes or so from downtown Ashville with all it has to offer. Great private hiking trails are available for hiking by day. At night cook in the well-equipped kitchen and watch TV or just sit by the fire and rest. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Amazing location, wonderful house, and incredible trails. Everything was clean and comfortable. Patty was an exceptional host. She checked in to make sure everything was what we expected, offered an early arrival when she learned our flight arrived, and had everything we could possibly need available in the home. It’s just beautiful and a perfect retreat. Can’t wait to return.

My husband and I stayed here while our kids were away at camp, and everything was wonderful! The cabin, it's location and amenities were everything we expected and more...the pictures don't do it justice. The location was easy to get to and very convenient to downtown. We loved the views off the back porch, where we had our coffee in the mornings and wine in the evenings. It was a perfect place to stay and we will definitely be returning. Thank you, Patty!

The cabin is incredible! Even a week of rain could not ruin our vacation. The deck is amazing and gave us the feel of being out in nature. We got to view a black bear and her three cubs from the deck. The close proximity to town was exactly what we wanted.

All the reviews we used to select this property were spot on. The view is amazing. Really nice touches on the toiletries and towels. Very well stocked kitchen and cook ware. We grilled outside twice and took advantage of the outdoor spaces. Did the main loop hike around the property which was nice for a day when we did not want to drive but wanted to get some steps in. Great location to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Black Mountain. We would definitely stay here again!

We loved this cabin in the hills, situated overlooking a mountain valley with the two outdoor porches and huge picture windows in the living room outfitted to enjoy the view. The house was extremely well provisioned, was impeccably clean, and "user friendly" with clear instructions for wifi, TV and kitchen use. Most impactful to us was the ability to be "away from it all" while celebrating our anniversary, and yet still be only 15 minutes from all the opportunities in downtown Asheville. I enthusiastically recommend this property.

We stayed over two weeks and were sad to leave. This is a high end home, conveniently located with views of Mount Pisgah. The owners have paid attention to the small details that make a stay so pleasant including wooded hikes outside your door. Thank you both for being such gracious hosts!

Loved our stay at this beautiful, cozy property. Home was immaculate, communication with owner was seamless and the view and comfort of the porch was wonderful. My husband and I were in town for a wedding and could not have asked for a better, more relaxing place to stay. This cabin exceeded all our expectations. The pictures can not do justice to the beautiful views and cozy atmosphere. There is so much attention to detail, not only in the architecture but in stocking every cabinet and drawer with anything you may need. My husband and I like to hike and there are well marked trails right from the driveway. The owners are wonderful! This is definitely a place I would return.

This is a beautiful home in the mountains, yet just minutes from downtown Asheville. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the cabin, which had everything we needed and boasts a spectacular view of the mountains. We especially loved the many trails on the property. Do not miss a walk to the sunset deck! From the house it was easy to get to town, to the Blue Ridge parkway, and to the surrounding towns. It was the perfect home base for a wonderfully realxing vacation.

Perfect remote cabin just far enough up to not hear the dirty but not to far to get what you need in a short time. The views are unbelievable the trails were a great adventure. Couldn’t have been more pleased with everything. Definitely worth the visit!
