Cabin was as advertised - great big living space for our two families to enjoy the winter weekend. Walking distance to a brewery, Alpine Slide, and The Village, which was a lifesaver during the busy holiday weekend.
Hot water was plentiful, water pressure was good, house was fully stocked with appliances (Crock Pot came in clutch for dinners), cooking utensils, dishes, pots and pants, pet items, bedding, and was clean upon arrival. Suzannah was always quick to respond to messages.
Only drawbacks were the lack of eating utensils and spa towels (nothing a quick run in the dishwasher or dryer couldn't fix), a 30-minute time limit for the hot tub, and the unsafe ladders to the top bunks in the kids' room. The ladders were stored under the beds and when put in place, lacked the necessary bolts to secure to the top bunk, which made it loose and wobbly (our kids fell off a few times). There was a stepstool in the closet which was just too short for our kids to climb into the beds and way too low for them to use to get out of the beds (the top bunk kids are 9 & 11 and almost 5' tall-- but their legs were still too short to safely get in and out).
All in all, a great stay with amazing views (we were treated to a surprise fireworks show over the lake for NYE-- front row view!), fantastic location, and full amenities.

We’ve stayed at several big bear cabins at this price point before and this one by far is the BEST! It was clean and fully stocked for 10 people. The host is only a phone call or text away. She was very responsive when we wanted to check in a little bit early to the cabin. Upon arriving at the cabin, we noticed that the rooms were very very clean and that the kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessities, and the bathrooms were fully stocked with towels and toilet paper. The beds were comfy and the host provides extra blankets and pillows in the closet. The best part about the cabin was that the hot water that came out immediately. That was by far the most convenient thing. Also, the hot tub was super big which has been an issue for us in the past with the hot tubs because my husband is 6’5” and sometimes he has to scrunch up to fit in one but this one he was able to lay out and relax and enjoy the beautiful MILLON DOLLAR view of big bear. The garage has a pool table. It is very used but it did the job keeping my son entertained for hours. It is cold in the garage and the heater in there doesn’t work, but we already knew that from reading other comments, so if you want to enjoy it at night bring your own space heater for that or just wear a big jacket. Lastly the cabin conveniently located near all of the shopping and entertainment spots in big bear. Overall this place gets a 10/10! Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic time and loved the house. There were a few things we were disappointed with. Since it is a home intended for multiple people, it would be nice to have more silverware. We were running the dishwasher often because there was not enough silverware for our group. Additionally, not enough toilet paper was provided. Each bathroom had less than two rolls for our entire stay. Lastly, the game room is in the garage and it was freezing. The original space heater was broken so we used another one, but it really did not produce enough heat to warm up the space. Overall, the house provided a very nice vacation experience.

We celebrated my daughter's sweet 16 birthday and the property was clean and perfect for our needs. Excellent location near the brewery and the Village-walkable. The 8 girls were able to stay on the top floor and we stayed on the ground floor and the kitchen and living room were the middle floor. We had a blast in the spa, watched movies on the comfy couch and big screen, had everything we needed to cook including salt, pepper and other spices in addition to ample pots and pans. I thought we would use the garage game room, but we never did as we were quite busy in the spa and watching movies. My only complaint would be the foot noise above, from the ground floor. When we went to bed on the ground floor, the girls stayed up and watched movies on the middle floor. We were woken up by the floor noises when they all got up and went to bed. If you are a light sleeper, you would be better off on the top floor. However, we will definitely stay again. One other improvement would be more towels for the spa and bathrooms. There were only 6 spa towels, so bring your own if you need more and bring laundry soap if not. We were constantly throwing spa towels and bath towels in the dryer for the next use. Suzannah was prompt to respond to any questions we had and everything was easy and stress free.

Our first time using VRBO and we had a fantastic experience with great owners who were very attentive and easy to get ahold for questions. The property was awesome with bunk beds for the kids and multiple bedrooms for the family as well. GREAT layout, loved the deck with hot tub, fun times in the game room, & magic having a fireplace ablaze while the snow is falling leaving a perfect layer of powder for sledding in the morning. Couldnt ask for a better place and look forward to next year!! Thanks again!!

We really wanted to take our 2 year old to see the snow for the first time during Christmas. This house was perfect. Close to the village, enough room for all of us, room outside to play in the snow, ect.
We loved the layout of the house. Our parents had their own floor, with the kitchen/living room above them and myself and my daughter and husband on a floor above that. We got to stay all together as a family but still have our privacy and seperate spaces.
Suzannah communicated great and was a pleasure to work with. She even set up a Christmas tree, with lights an ornaments for us. We weren’t expecting that but it was such a nice touch considering we were there on Christmas Day.
We accidentally left my daughters favorite bear in the primary bedroom. Suzannah helped locate it for us and it’s being shipped back to her as we speak.
Thank you for sharing your home with us. We cannot wait to return.

Wonderful cabin like experience home, near the heart of Big Bear center. My family and I were able to attend to all of the wonderful amenities Big Bear has to offer, a 5-minute walk to the nearest slopes and slides, a 5-minute drive to reach Big Bear downtown, and only 30 minutes to the nearest hunting grounds.
Susanna was our point of contact and was great with helping us out with any issues or questions we had. Had one slight issue go through trip and she was quick to the point to help us out and even though it did not go our way she still ensured we were taking care of. Overall looking forward to coming back and staying at this home, everything was very easy and taking care of for us which allows us to make the next trip much more likely!

Best Location in Big Bear!
This cabin is in a quiet area but a short 10min walk to the lake or the village. There is an amazing view of the lake from the back balcony with plenty of space for the family and pets to hang out. Inside has lots of together or separate spaces to gather or escape and relax. Special thanks to the owners for a well stocked kitchen; they had everything you need to feel at home. We loved this place for our summer 4th of July getaway with a great view of the fireworks show from the balcony. Looking forward to experiencing this cabin in winter.

Great vacation
This is our second time at this cabin and we loved it just as much (if not more) the second time around.
There is a hill out back that is perfect for sledding and kids can always run back inside if they are cold or for some hot chocolate.
There are plenty of supplies (cooking gear, blankets etc).
The owners were easy to get in touch with and happily answered all of our questions.
Hopefully, we will stay here again next year too!

Great cabin with great location
We rented based on a party of 7 (4 adults and 3 kids) but it turned out to be just the 4 of us. Big place for 4 people but my 8 year old loved the room of bunk beds that can sleep 6 people. While no AC, the rooms had this great fan to keep things cool. Great location to market, lake and restaurants/activities.

The house was awesome. It had a happy vibe. Great wifi sufficient for my family and 15 and 12 year old boys, which says something. And an easy walk to town. I didnt understand how nice a perk that was until we were there. Great experience! Feel lucky it was available.
