Enjoyed our stay. The place and location were exactly what we were looking for.

Perfect location. Clean! The gate on the front is great, easy to back car in and keep off the street. Will stay again! John responded quickly to questions. WiFi worked well for work as well. We went in and out of the garage every-time- made it easy to not carry a key.

The property was very conveniently located to one of the public beach entrances, and near a life guard stand (nice if you have kids). The outdoor shower came in very handy to get the sand from the beach off. We loved the private-feeling outdoor space as well, with room to eat dinner for 6, as well as comfortable lounge chairs and spaces to let wet swim suits dry. There were minor inconveniences (like no dishwasher) but no surprises from the listing and would definitely stay here again.

this was our first ever vrbo stay tried this and was very pleased with this listing literally w block away from the water a good neighborhood with shops and restaurants within a 10 minute walk and the house is well equipped. will be coming back again

The property location is exceptional and in a quiet neighborhood, however the bathroom and kitchen need maintenance and updating in order to make this functional for a family stay. Renters should plan on bringing their own media player for any screen time and should expect some challenges with doors, faucets and the shower.

We had a wonderful time on our family vacation. We love Carlsbad and this cottage is in the perfect location for us within close walking distance to the beach and village. All the amenities we needed for the beach. Great outdoor gas fire for s’mores! Beds and bedroom arrangement was very comfortable for my husband and I and our 2 kids - 6 yes old and 11 yes old. Loved it!

We loved staying in John and Lisa’s home! It was perfect for our family and had everything we needed. So close to the beach! We loved the big sectional in the family room and the outdoor spaces. So much better than staying in a hotel room and about the same price!

We love this home, it is the perfect spot for our family. The house has everything you need and is within a very short walking distance to the beach and Village. Having the enclosed yard is amazing for kids.

Super clean, perfect location. Easy access and check in/check out. My family of 5 was cozy but fit nicely. The outside seating and patio areas (front and back) were great. The only things that could be improved were having a few more bath towels and the fact that there were no available tv channels. Those are very minor things and we absolutely plan on staying here again.

Great communication with the owner. House is in the perfect spot for beach access and other fun things to do. Kids liked the bunk beds. Beach toys and supplies were great so we didn’t have to bring any. Would definitely stay here again.

The location of the house could not have been better, on a quiet part of the street and you could hear the waves crashing on the beach from the house. The patio was a great additional space, perfect for lounging outside or eating dinner. We had a wonderful stay.

We had a great experience staying here. It was a very close walk to the beach and restaurants. The owners were amazing and helpful in our situation. We will definitely be back.

The location was close to beach, restaurants and markets. There is a park across the street, unfortunately the homeless have made that their home. The home is nice and has enough amenities. The only drawback was the outdoor cushions, they could use a spring cleaning for mildew.

Loved the great room, the deck and patio. Master bedroom was very comfortable. Location right in the heart of Carlsbad and about a minute to the beach.

This house was a couple minute walk to the beach. The interior and exterior were exceptionally clean, and we enjoyed being outdoors. The landscaping was fabulous. Close enough to San Diego and lots of other great beaches nearby. Great places to eat as well. We loved staying here. The owner was very quick to respond to any questions.

Property was fantastic in terms of cleanliness, location, and amenities. John was great to work with and provided plenty of information. Beach access was steps away and my kids loved the beach toys and bikes. Check in/out was seamless and easier and less hassle than the Carlsbad Village Inn, which was our go to for years

We had a lovely stay at this home. The description was accurate, and it’s walking distance to the beach and town. The outdoor space was beautiful and impressive. We loved grilling and spending time on the patio. The outdoor shower and all the beach amenities were fantastic. We would recommend this house, and definitely stay here again!

House is in a great location, very close to beach and the village. Plenty of beach toys for the kids. The inside and outdoor space has been nicely decorated and was exactly what I was looking for. Recommend having more cable tv channels.

Check in was super easy. Several ideas: More lighting needed in bedrooms. It was really hot at night!! Ceiling fans? Dish drainer and rack in shower need to be replaced. They are rusty. New caulking needed in bathroom. Location was excellent!!!

Our family of 5 stayed here the first week of June and had a great time ! The beach was super close and the house had all the beach “essentials” 😊� We went to the grocery store for food for the week, the kitchen also had everything we needed. The one thing that would’ve been nice was if their was sugar and creamer for the coffee (we bought coffee, and realized after there was no sugar- no biggie but it’s something little that wasn’t thought to bring/buy) The street was a quiet street, our 10 year loved it because he could ride his scooter around out front and we could all hang out together. We did a lot of people watching (there’s a park across the street). There wasn’t many TV channels to pick from, which was a bummer, but we found a few movies to watch in the evening . We walked downtown a few times, everything is there! That was nice. Overall we loved the house! We would def stay again if we could . Thanks John!

This house is great for a beach getaway. It was warm and inviting. We could walk to the beach or village in minutes. We will be back!

Just had another amazing vacation with my family. This is our second stay at this amazing beach house, I only wish I could stay here more often. Carlsbad is one of my all time favorite vacation destinations. Not only is the town quiet, relaxing, and convenient. The house is equip with everything you need, so makes packing so easy. The owner has all your beach needs and wants. Plus the bbq area on the back deck is so fun for my husband and makes dining a little cheaper having a few meals from home. The beach is very close, where some homes say they are, but after walking blocks you realise it wasn't accurate, this place actually is, we walked back and forth even to use the restroom. It's a home away from home, and the best place to actually get some rest. All of the restaurants are walking distance, and they have a farmer's market, for some great deals on fresh fruits and vegetables to stock up on. I would definately recommend this place, I just hope know one books my dates. Lol
