L’appartement est proche de nombreux commerces et restaurants ce qui est très pratique.
C’est un lieu idéal pour une excursion à L’Ile aux Cerfs, l’embarcadère étant juste à côté.

Die Wohnung ist deutlich schöner als auf den Fotos und über eine Treppe zu erreichen. Sie ist absolut sauber bis in die Ecken, die Dusche zuverlässig heiß, die Klimaanlage funktioniert einwandfrei. Ich fand das Bett ein kleines bisschen hart, habe mich aber schnell daran gewöhnt. Kerstin ist sehr nett, hilfsbereit und bemüht und jederzeit ansprechbar! Direkt rundherum kann man fürs Frühstücken einkaufen (v.a.Baguette), ich würde aber erst einmal im SuperU in Flaq die Basics besorgen. Die Lokale im Ort fanden wir gut, nur das versnobte Fischrestaurant haben wir gelassen. Kerstin, die Vermieterin, mochte den Tino nicht, wir fanden ihn super! Das WLAN lief teilweise nicht gut, Kerstin hat sich darum gekümmert und dann ging es. Tolles Bad!
Wir hatten nur diese Unterkunft. Ich würde zur Erkundung der gesamten Insel mehrere Unterkünfte empfehlen, die Fahrtzeiten sind sonst zu lang. Für die Ostküste ist es hier super!

Wunderschöne Unterkunft und eine sehr herzliche Gastgeberin!
Wir waren 3 Nächte in der Casa Frangipani und uns hat es an nichts gefehlt :) Das Apartment war super schön, sehr sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Wir hatten alles was wir brauchten, Handtücher, Strandtücher und Küchenutensilien.
Kerstin ist super nett und unfassbar hilfsbereit! Sie hat uns viele tolle Sachen empfohlen, Tische fürs Abendessen reserviert und auch eine Bootstour (mit ihrem Mann) organisiert. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wieder kommen :)
Zur Lage muss man noch sagen, dass man sich hier im eher traditionellen Teil von Mauritius befindet und wir oft die einzigen Touristen waren. Wir fanden das super, aber ist wahrscheinlich nicht für jede/n was. Direkt ums Eck ist ein kleiner Supermarkt und es gibt auch einige Restaurants oder Snack Läden, von denen euch Kerstin die besten empfehlen kann. Es gibt zwei kleinere Strände fußläufig, die allerdings nicht so schön sind aber dafür liegt ca. 10 Autominuten entfernt einer der schönsten Strände Mauritius: Belle Mare!

Kerstin is the best host I have ever had, and I have traveled to so many destinations for the last 15 years. She made us feel welcome since we arrived and continued to be helpful and genuinely friendly during our stay. The apartment looks like it has just been renovated. Everything is in excellent condition, neat and clean. With Kerstin's attention to detail, the apartment has everything you might ever need, and the design is pleasing and calming. What we loved the most was the terrace, where we spent most of our time during breakfasts and dinners. Kerstin has equipped us with mosquito-repellant stripes, which we used every night on the terrace while playing card games. A bed is exceptionally comfortable and should be great for most people's liking because my partner, who usually has back pains, slept well every night.
Kerstin helped us organize the day trip to 5 islands which was an extraordinary experience and highly recommended. She offered us a free ride to the meeting point, and her husband, Mr. Visham, was super kind in organizing watching the Première League football game one night with his friends. We had such a good time.
Kerstin has the answer to all your questions, has great recommendations for places to visit, knows where to send you to enjoy a nice dinner, and is willing to organize it for you.
If you want to enjoy the most of all surrounding beaches, rent a scooter with Paradisa rental, which is just around the corner, and Kerstin can assist you in getting in contact <3
Everything was above our expectation, we are grateful for such amazing hosts, their hospitality and we can truly say we felt like home.

The best host you can imagine, Kerstin is the sweetest nicest woman we met on our whole trip. She has a super cute apartment which is very clean and tidy. She booked restaurants for us and suggested places, and each single suggestion we got turned out to ba a perfect experience. I would definitely stay again and recommend to everyone to come and stay and meet Kerstin and her husband.
It was a little hot in the second bedroom as there is no AC and the noise level from the street is quite high, so I would recommend to sleep with earplugs.

Apartment was really clean and spacy. Very comfortable bed, well equiped kitchen, good AC and nice views. But the best part of it was the host Kerstina. She was very helpful and giving a lot of local recommendation. Also she made for us reservation in really unique places and trips! We definitly recommend staying in Kerstina place and also be glad to be back there! :)

Nice one bedroom apt with dining area & kitchen. Good wi Fi and good prompt response from owner. Owner is friendly, helpful & has many suggestions for the surrounding area. Small garden. Good overall service.
Street noise can be loud at times. Small couch in living room which is not comfortable for long sitting.

We stayed at Casa Frangipani for 6 days. We made use of the studio which is adjacent to the patio. We really liked that! There is a very spacious, bright bedroom, a spacious fully equipped kitchen and a beautiful bathroom with toilet. Everything in new condition, spotlessly clean and cared for down to the last detail. The whole is not only suitable for a short-term stay. You can certainly also comfortably stay longer. Kerstin, the landlady, is helpful with everything, very friendly and she gives good advice on what to do and see in the area. For example, she arranged a visit to Ile aux Cerfs for us with a BBQ lunch at a very acceptable price compared to others. The beautiful large public beach is only 3 km away in a few minutes by car. It offers great opportunities for amateur snorkelers. And for those who like fishing at sea: Kerstin's husband can guide you!

The apartment is beautiful and really makes you feel at home, it is equipped with everything you might need. We had a great stay also thanks to Kerstin, who has been very welcoming and helpful. A short drive from here takes you to the beautiful beach of Palmar. There is a small supermarket very close to the apartment, it's very convenient in case you decide to cook your own meals.
It's been one of the best stay we had in Mauritius and I strongly recommend it!

In October 2022 I stayed for seven nights at Casa Frangipani. Everything in my appartment was made of quality and with love!
Kerstin, the host is really doing everything to make your stay perfect.
- introduced me to the locals on the jetty to go to Ile aux Cerf with the most beautiful lunch
- drove her guests to a little home - made - family - run Rum company with a great tasting
- organised an absolute gorgeous dinner in a little garden Restaurant
- recommended a local Beauty Saloon for a great massage
- organised for other guests a scooter and car
At the time I was there I was lucky to celebrate Diwali with her and her family.
Everything was so authentic and I felt more than welcome!
Don't stay there only for a few nights. Trou d'Eau Douce is a nice place to discover the island and to enjoy great hospitality!

Excellent for a family stay - Kirsten was a wonderful host and nothing was too much trouble, providing a cot, high chair and even a bag of toys - so handy when limited by what you can bring with you. Great location near restaurants and food shops which meant we could take full advantage of the kitchen. It is an interesting and friendly little town great to just wander and conveniently located for great beaches and only a short walk from the bats to the Isle…

We stayed only two night, but we couldn’t ask for more! The apartment is clean and all what you need. They are so kind that they suggest you what to visit and where to eat and for sure they help you in anything you need! Just awesome experience

Where to begin… if I could put 10 stars out of 5 I would.
We had one of the best stays of our life at Casa Frangipani. The room was very comfortable and clean. It is very well equipped and very nicely decorated. The balcony is very pleasant.
And then there is Kerstin, an incredibly amazing woman who does her best to welcome her guests in the best way. She is very attentive and makes her best to make you feel at home and to have the best stay on her island. And she’s also funny and very easy to talk to.
She has very good advices, you can listen to her. We were always pleased with her recommandations.
If you go to Mauritius, you have to go stay at Casa Frangipani in Trou d’Eau Douce.

Kerstin was extremly helpful, she knows the best local restaurants, the hidden spots and best rum tasting place. The apartman is very clean, the bed is big and comfortable. You can park safe and explore that region of the island. The garden is beautiful to have a drink or breakfast.

We had a super nice welcome after a long travel from Australia .The Apartment was perfectly clean, very comfortable and cozy furnished with attention to every detail and well equipped including kitchen utensils for self-catering. Perfect quiet location, shops, restaurants and beaches within walking distance. Kerstin and Visham make you feel like at home, had great insider tips and ideas on what to do and where to go and visit. We felt so comfortable that we also spend the remaining days in Casa Frangipani and around the east coast, which is so beautiful and not so much touristic

Beautiful and spacious apartment in the middle of Trou d’Eau Douce. Good value for your money. The owner has in total 3 apartments, I had the garden one with the possibility to sit outside. Owner originally from Germany is very kind, helpful and instrumental whatever you need. Not only in (good) recommendations for restaurant, things to do, but has a true can-do, let’s make it happen mentality. I was dependent on taxis, public transport it isn’t always that easy to get somewhere (Eastern part is more quiet). As an example she was so nice to drop me off at Mountain Lion for a hike and gave me instructions how to get back by bus. I can certainly recommend her. Good place to stay if you like to spend some time on the Eastern side of the island.

We had lovely stay at Casa Frangipani. Kirsten was very helpful, flexible and 100% available.
We had a delayed flight and arrived really late at night but it wasn’t a problem at all for her and she even put some snacks and beers in the fridge as she realised everything would be closed and we will probably be hungry after our long journey.
We highly recommend Casa Frangipani + very good value for money!
And thank you Kirsten for your hospitality.

Beautiful apartment, nicely decorated, fresh and modern. Well equipped for light self catering. Kerstin the owner is very helpful and friendly, she makes you feel at home and is available if you need anything. We would recommend her place!

Kirsten was a wonderful, friendly host for whom nothing was too much trouble. She organized our airport pick up and a rental car for our 14 day visit at very good prices. The room and kitchen had everything we needed with shopping very cose to the property. Ille au Serfs was just down the road and beaches close to Frangipani.

We stayed at Casa Frangipani for 4 nights. What makes the place truly stand out is the owner Kerstin. She is extremely welcoming, made us feel at home right away and most importantly gave great sightseeing recommendations, directions and helped us finding and booking the most amazing dining options.
This is the perfect place for you if you're looking for a "live like a local" experience with the comfort of air conditioning, private parking and free WiFi in the beautiful area of trou d'eau douce in a perfectly clean and well equipped apartment and with some of the Island's most beautiful beaches just around the corner. Kerstin will be your best friend and you'll love the recommendations she gives. There are also 3 sweet and playful dogs, a private parking spot for your car and Kerstin offers a lovely breakfast with local fruit and other produce at a fair price.
Highly recommend, book it NOW ;)
Due to the location at the main road there is some street noise. Helps you to stop the snooze and get up in the morning to start exploring the Island!

Our booking was very easy and Kerstin, our host, was very helpful in advance of our arrival and very kind and friendly when we did arrive. It is lovely to be in a little community of rooms in a house right in the heart of town.
Kerstin was great, the room was clean and really well-equipped. My wife had to do some work and the Wifi was good enough to make this easy.
We had a lovely stay and would recommend it.

I've really enjoyed the stay at Casa Frangipani and for sure will come back, if I visit Mauritius again. Mostly because of the hostess Kerstin, who is so lovely and was so much helpful with everything I asked for. From amazing and unforgettable tips for the trips to making a really good snack for a whole day trip. Really lovely and I'm so glad I had the pleasure to meet her during my time here in Mauritius.
Also the accommodation was so nice and comfy.

The owners of Casa Frangiapani are wonderful and could not be faulted in any way. They made us very welcome and arranged car transfers from/to the property from the airport. They were incredibly kind, arranging trips for us and nothing was of any trouble. I can honestly say that they are amongst the kindest people I have ever met.
Trou d’eau Douce is a great base for a visit to Mauritius and the apartment is very well equipped and comfortable. A special recommendation has to be made for dining at Chez Sous Les Manguier, where Sam and his family cook wonderful food at very reasonable prices. The other place to visit is Table d’hote Mama Sophie, which is superb.
In summary, Casa Frangipani is very highly recommended.
