We love staying at Pelican House in Jekyll with our dog. This trip was our 4th time renting this comfortable house. Owners replaced the wooden backyard fence and our Rosie had a safe place to play. We rented for a week for left two days early. We chose this house because of the backyard- we wanted our two cairns to have spaces to explore and to sit out and enjoy the time with them. However, the backyard was all dirt and mosquitoes an not very enjoyable. In addition, the house was just not well kept- dirty bedspread, unusable cooking pans, dirty stove,. We tried to vacuum, because of the dirt coming in from the backyard... but the vacuum's wheels were broken. And finally, it was next to impossible to get food delivered to the house. It would be a great house for a big family- but for the cost I'd go to a hotel.
