The Fairways at Mauna Lani è una lussuosa comunità recintata con milioni di dollari più case di città e servizi in stile resort, situata nel prestigioso Mauna Lani Resort lungo la Kohala Coast delle Hawaii, alle Big Island. Goditi la vista su Mauna Kea, sulle montagne Kohala, sui campi di lava, sulle palme ondeggianti e a pochi passi dalla spiaggia.
Queste case a schiera sono il luogo perfetto per godersi le vacanze! Questa residenza di lusso si trova direttamente tra due resort di classe mondiale: il Mauna Lani e l'Orchidea Fairmont. Ognuno di questi resort è arroccato su una delle spiagge più belle del mondo: la Mauna Lani Beach, piena di sabbia bianca, acque cristalline e il miglior tempo che Madre Natura può offrire.
Queste case a schiera vantano ripiani in granito e le migliori finiture. Ho già parlato del barbecue su ogni lanai? L'area della piscina per gli ospiti ha barbecue e un'area ombreggiata per sedersi e godersi un buon libro! Ogni unità ha lavatrice / asciugatrice ed elettrodomestici in acciaio inossidabile. Puoi praticare il tuo swing nei due campi da golf o allenarti sulla spiaggia per abbronzarti. Molto da fare per tutta la famiglia!
Goditi i pasti migliori al ristorante Tommy Bahama o acquista souvenir nei negozi di articoli da regalo. Per non parlare di tutti i negozi di lusso e altri ristoranti tra cui scegliere. Divertimento per tutti!

Shawn, the property manager, was immediately responsive and very pleasant to deal with - a great guy! The unit was immaculately clean and had every imaginable thing to make our stay comfortable and easy; beach towels, beach toys (snorkel equipment, boogie boards, sand umbrellas, etc.), a large washer/dryer (w/detergent!), ironing board/iron, comfortable lanai seating, and an impressively complete kitchen. The owner is a very thoughtful host! We were two adult couples and were very pleased. This is an excellent choice for a family with children. Be aware, though, that the 2 bedrooms, while nicely decorated, are not equally comfortable for adults. The primary bedroom is VERY nice with a king bed, sitting area, large bathroom & closet, and nicely furnished lanai. The second bedroom is truly for children. The twin beds were not comfortable for our adult friends; they reported uncomfortable (and uncomfortably short) mattresses, a much smaller bathroom and just an overall ‘child-size’ room. It does sound ideal for kids though!If you prefer more of a beachy, natural vibe this unit is not for you. However if you’re looking for a spot with a pool, close neighbors (not always quiet!), and a perfectly furnished ‘home’ (great kitchen, TV, comfy living room), this is a great choice. You can walk to a somewhat crowded, family-filled beach along a two-lane paved road that’s somewhat busy (and hot). It took us about 20 minutes to reach the Fairmont hotel bea

This was our 5th trip to Big Island and our favorite accommodations by far. Fairways is a perfect little gated complex with a great layout in a location close to the grocery store, golf course and Fairmont. Our 9-year old enjoyed exploring around the complex in a pack with other kids, checking out all the plants and wildlife (including a flock of wild turkeys!!). The unit itself is really close to the pool so logistics are easy but not so close that pool traffic is an issue. Most importantly, the host made himself super available to us for all kinds of questions and inquiries and always responded in real time. It really felt like we had a friend on the island who was looking out for us. Highly recommend!

Overall the responsiveness and helpfulness of the host was 5 stars but this unit is in desperate need of some attention.
PROS
Great location, best pool of all the Waikoloa or Mauna Lani properties we've stayed in, responsive and helpful host communications, stocked kitchen with sharp knives (bonus!), beach club access, large supply of beach gear (chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, etc.).
CONS
Overall this place feels a bit neglected:
Linens/towels in massive need of a refresh, most would qualify for the 'rag bin' at my house, and only found one washcloth in the entire house. Four decent beach towels, the others were ripped/raggy, definitely not guest-worthy.
The exhaust cover for the fan over the stove was missing and replaced by a strip of black garbage bag that flew up when the fan was turned on, blasting the exhaust into your face.
The house has a dozen or more silk arrangements/plants that are covered in what looks a year+ of dust.
One end of the couch has lost all support in the seat so when you sit down you sink to an uncomfortable level (and I'm less than 200lbs).
The TVs are not 'smart', which is more or less standard at all other properties we've stayed; they provide blue ray/dvd players but no supply of discs.
Garage looks like a dumping ground for all things. Went to use a cooler but opened it to find it dirty with garbage inside.
New linens, fresh coat of paint, and some updates/fixes/purge would make a big difference!
