We’re so glad we stayed at your condo. It was so peaceful and comfortable. It was very convenient to Acadia National Park and much more quiet than the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor, which was not far but more touristy.

We had a wonderful three nights here. Loved the area as it was much less hustle / bustle than Bar Harbor. It was still easy enough to get to Acadia and the surrounding area. The condo itself was a nice layout, and was nicely equipped. Very happy with our choice. It is always great to get some of the basics - paper towels, foil, plastic bags, some spices, etc. in the kitchen without having to worry about shopping for them.

The overall experience was extremely pleasant. The unit was immaculate and well stocked. Christie, our host, was very accommodating. The location on the marina dock was very peaceful. It’s a short ride to the park and Bar Harbor. My only suggestion is that the description of the unit should make clear that the washer/dryer isn’t in the unit. However, Christie was willing to swap our dirty towels for clean ones daily.

We enjoyed watching the ebb and flow of the tide and the seabirds working the shoreline. Staying in Southwest Harbor is quiet and convenient for everything on the quiet side of MDI. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Southwest Maine. Away from the business of Bar Harbor, but the same beauty and easy access to the park. The marina side condo was very nice. My best sunrise picture came from this site. We'd stay again in a minute!

This very comfortable cottage in Southwest Harbor allows you to relax and enjoy the surroundings without the hassles of the nearby crowds. Well equipped and efficient, very clean and quietly located. The owner communicated well throughout the reservation process and during our stay. The location is great as we could watch the sunrise/moonrise over the harbor yet we could walk to the stores or bakery in seven minutes. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning soon.

This was our first visit to Cannery's Marina Side Condo Bow and Maine and we read reviews trying to find a place to stay out of chaos and the reviews held true to this quality of the Cannery's Marina Side condo. It sits quietly off the road by the water but yet conveniently located near our favorite spots of Acadia and Bar Harbor. The condo was exceptionally large and very clean and you had everything as though you were at home! We loved that the owner had condiments, syrup, pancake mix, coffee, cooking oil, ice, soap, paper towels, cleaning supplies, air freshener spray, everything you needed for cooking t included in the price of the condo each morning which provided a nice variety of items to get our day started. Other perks of our stay here were the free bus into Bar Harbor as an option. Christine was just all-around helpful and pleasure when needing guidance before our stay. She communicated very well with anything you asked and responded in a timely manner. It was nice having a TV in all bedrooms and in the sitting area. There was five of us and had plenty of room. It was very nice having two bathrooms and everything is top-notch and our stay was very comfortable. We did not have any problems with noise, parking, emptying our trash. Literally, everything is provided and I have to say this owner goes above and beyond in what is expected. You will not have this provided in many other places you rent. (condiments, coffee, pancake mix, salt pepper, paper towels, plastic bags, Pam, oil soap, etc,.). It is a very nice gesture Christine provides for her renters. It was nice to watch the low tide to high tide and to see the boats. She provides many readings, pamphlets, DVD's to watch movies and many channels of TV is provided. Thank you for a great visit!! You truly want your renters to have a nice vacation and you have provided it for us!

We had a great visit in Southwest Harbor and were happy to be away from the bustle of Bar Harbor (although we enjoyed visiting several times). The condo was clean and conveniently located. We were very comfortable during our stay and would love to return one day.

Everything fine except requirement in literature we found in unit asking us to take garbage and bottles out, strip beds and clean and vacuum around kitchenette. We paid $80 cleaning fee!

The Bow condo was our home for days and nights and we could not have made a better choice in Southwest Harbor. The space is brand new, immaculate, and well planned. Kitchen was stocked with all utensils and cooking items. The open space also included a dining area and TV viewing with a couch and chair. The bed in the master was super Comfortable and the baths were spotless. The condo faces Dysart’s Marina where out boat is and we literally walked out into the docks from the front door. We loved it!

We loved the location of this lovely condo! The marina was a beautiful setting! It was very clean and stocked with some nice touches (coffee, pancake mix and syrup). The bedding and furniture were so comfortable, better than expected! Christy was a great host! We highly recommend the Bow unit, but the Stern looks like it would be just as nice.

Great, clean place right on the water, on the Marina deck. Ideal for up to 4-5 people. Very much enjoyed the place and the surroundings!

We enjoyed our stay at the marina condo (Bow). The views and atmosphere were great, and staying at the marina was really unique. The condo was perfect for what we needed. The only issue was that another family accidentally occupied our rental and we had to sort that out and couldn’t get in touch with Christie immediately, but her sister-in-law got involved and helped sort it out quickly. And Christie called to check-in on everything as soon as she could. All in all a great stay!

We chose this condo or apartment at Dysart’s Marina in Southwest Harbor to avoid some of the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor, but still have good access to Acadia National Park and the surrounding area., as well as to enjoy the marina. It was a perfect choice. We did have a little concern that it might be a noisy location since the unit is located in a working marina, but our Bow Unit was completely quiet! The unit was well-appointed and our hostess Christie even included coffee and some other extras that made our stay easier. The Bow and Stern unit sit side by side at the front of a building (we thought maybe they should have been called Port and Starboard) that also contained the Sail Acadia office where we scheduled a wonderful three hour sail on the sloop Alice E. The adjoining Stern Unit might have a bit more sound as the driveway into the marina runs beside it,. The Bow unit also has more of a view of the water. We were within walking distance of the shops and restaurants of Southwest Harbor, and within easy driving distance of two good lobster pounds, Thurston’s and Beale’s. We were there a little before “the season” and found that some restaurants and shops were closed until mid-June, but we enjoyed three great meals at Sips, breakfast items from Little Notch Bakery, and Sawyer’s Grocery, and ice cream at the Quietside Cafe, all in the town of Southwest Harbor. We are early risers and indeed woke up at 5 a.m. each day since that is when the sun came up. There were blinds on the windows, but they could not keep out the sun as it rose. Roller blinds that block the light underneath the blinds would be a nice addition for people who don’t want to wake up with the sun, or you could take some blinders to wear during the night if that is a concern. The unit was not fancy, but it was very pleasant and comfortable and seemed to be quite new. The unit was incredibly clean. The owners did ask that we strip the beds and throw the sheets and towels in a laundry basket, as well as sweep the floors before we left, which was not a big deal. We stayed a week in this unit and happily recommend it to others.

Updated condo, very clean with many amenities. The pancake mix saved us since we arrived late. The deck was extremely large, with great views. Nice to be in walking distance to town and some restaurant. We plan on being back!

It was such a pleasant surprise pulling up onto the fishing marina's pier and parking the car in front of the condo. We arrived at sunset, so before we even went into the condo we grabbed the cameras and captured the beauty that surrounded us. So serene. Just like the photos on VRBO. As we entered the condo we realized what a gem it is. Clean, well stocked, beautifully decorated and very homey. The bathrooms are very nice, the master bedroom is huge but the extra bedroom only had twin beds. That was one reason I did not give it a 5 star rating. For two couples renting on a vacation, it feels like if you get the twin bed room, you got the short end of the deal. It is a great room, but would be more suited for a family with 2 children. We loved the location on the island. Quiet with all you need nearby. It is obvious the owner cares about your stay. One last comment, do realize that someone is renting next to you and people live above you. There will be noises. But certainly not bad ones. We even enjoyed chatting with our neighbors. Thanks for the lovely stay!!

The pictures don’t do this place justice. It’s a great size and has more room than I thought it would. The location is perfect—close enough to walk into town but private enough to sit on the dock deck in the evening, by the water, with quiet. Southwest Harbor is an adorable town with lots of great food options. Christie was super easy to work with and very responsive. This is the place you want to stay!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Bow unit. It was like a home away from home, and had everything we needed. There were five of us, including a one-year-old, and we could not have asked for more. The little touches, such as games and books, as well as the high chair and play pen for our grandson were extra touches that you would not see at a motel. We loved the pancake mix and maple syrup (which we used all of), and the fully stocked kitchen. The gas grill and the outdoor seating area were perfect on a cool July evening. We loved the location, right at the marina, where we could see the rise and fall of the tide and the comings and goings of the boats. Despite being right at the marina, there were no noise issues at all. The building is very well insulated for sound, and we heard nothing from the other units.

This was our first trip to Acadia National Park but it won't be our last. And staying at this marina side condo was perfect for us in every way. It was clean, comfortable, spacious and had all the amenities needed to feel at home away from home. The views of the harbor were awesome, especially in the morning and the evening, and the location provided easy access to the park and other local sights and activities. When we plan our next trip to this area, we will definitely try to book another stay at this property!

Dysart’s Bow unit was extremely neat and very spacious for the three of us. There are plenty of comfortable options for sleeping. It was a great location for sightseeing in all of the area harbor towns and Acadia National Park. After a long day playing tourist and amateur photographer, it was wonderful to return to the picturesque marina and a quiet space to unwind. We highly recommend staying here to anyone who intends to visit the area.

If you are looking for a comfortable accommodation with beautiful views in a great location this is for you! It is walking distance to town where we visited the Garden and Wendell Gilley Museum- we loved them both! It is also a short drive to the Bass Harbor lighthouse and to Exho Lake, Long Pond and trails around each of them. We didn’t want to stay in the more crowded area of Bar Harbor so Southwest Harbor was perfect! We did not have one problem with the property and found the people on the dock friendly and welcoming. We took a sailboat cruise (that leaves right from the dock) and had a magnificent time. There is also a laundry facility right on the premises. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place- it made for a spectacular vacation!

Condo is perfect for 2 couples and located on a working marina. Close to town with great restaurants, bike shop, grocery, shops and convenient to park. Will recommend Dysart's on Southwestern Harbor to others.
