We had the most amazing stay at the Big Blue Villa by Caldera Houses. The Villa is absolutely stunning and perfect for a group of four people like we were. Firstly the villa itself was located in the most perfect place - you had the amazing ocean view on one side and the charming buildings of Santorini on the other side which resulted in a lot of pictures. Another big plus was the stillness and privacy from other tourists. We were located in a private area where we could explore without having to worry about the crowds. Secondly the breakfast was so good!! We were looking forward to it every morning as it was a variation of delicious things every time. We loved it! Mary and her colleagues were very helpful and available at any time if we needed anything. This was highly appreciated by us and we could not have been more content with them. The cleaning staff were also lovely and did a very good job whenever we needed cleaning. Overall this whole experience went beyond all expectations and we will definitely go back! I would 100% recommend this villa to everyone!

The location and overall atmosphere of the property was simply mesmerizing. Communication from the management was just wonderful, they were available on demand, and every text was answered. The breakfast was lovely to have outside my door in the morning, and I literally sat in the outdoor tub for hours on end, wine glass in hand, just enjoying the amazing view. Despite a few little quirks, this place is simply magical and (while I hate to say this as I hope the price doesn’t increase) it’s worth every penny.

The location is wonderful with incredible photo ops….which means you may have to elbow tourists out of your way as you make your way down to the property. Many of them blatantly ignore the ropes/gates set up for the properties down the hill. There was even a cruise tour guide bringing a group down past the gate when I got back from my hike. NOT the property’s fault, just something to consider. I also did not expect to have such close neighbors to the bedroom patio (which was essentially a shared balcony with a curtain type divider), mine were very loud. But did quiet down evebtuskly. Oia in general means great views but crowds BECAUSE you’re living on top of one another! Happy problem. 🙂

Living in the villa was like being inside a painting! The view is breathtaking, we couldn’t get enough of the scenery! The villa was very well equipped and beautifully decorated. The hot tub was definitely a highlight. The host and her associates were very friendly and helpful, we felt so welcomed! Totally recommended! Hope to visit this fantastic place again!
