We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The condo was clean and tastefully decorated. The view of the beach is fantastic, and the balcony is directly overlooking it. Thanks to our host for a worry free vacation!

Very nice view and location steps to the beach. Love the smaller condo and new balcony. Beach service was very nice to save your spot each day. Condo has most items except laundry detergent so we didn’t get to use new washer. Only a small gas station is closest so one would need a car to get to all restaurants and shopping.A black out curtain would be nice in bedroom to reduce brightness at night and increase privacy. Condo could use some updating with painting to get rid of mold on ceilings in bathroom and refresh. We had a great stay and would def return.

Everything was so comfortable and cozy. I lived comfortably like home while staying in condo, which is close to the white sand, and everything I needed was perfect from check in to instructions

Very clean, waterfront view
Full kitchen with new appliances.,washer and dryer. Spend 3 days there with big pleasure.

At first there was miscommunication to the cleaning after others left condo. But gloria did great job communicating and had done immediately. Very nice place. The people very friendly. Lots of things to do nearby. Family, couples and with kids.

Let's start with the good:
*beautiful beach
*great location/quieter than Destin
*had everything needed to relax
*owner quick to reply (at first)
Cons:
*the bedroom overlooks the hallway & very close to stairs which isn't bad except there was only ONE curtain panel so there was not privacy in the bedroom. I had to get on a table and remove a curtain panel from the family room so no one could look into the bedroom, and I could safely change with assured privacy! Not OK!!!!
*towels were gross. Spotted with what looked like dried mold. I would not use them! They were not going anywhere near my face or body.
*floors were quite dirty and left my feet black so I had to clean the floors
*garbage in kitchen was not emptied from prior renter. Not a huge deal, but still worth noting.
*deck was just remodeled (which is great), but all the wood shavings were left behind so no barefeet on the deck.
*I contacted the owner immediately once I realized the issues. She did not get back to me until the next day. She was very apologetic, and kind!
*No smart t.v. so you are stuck watching commercials, and can't watch your own preferred programs.

When we checked in, the unit had not been cleaned. We had to sleep on the couches because the bed was dirty. The owner, Gloria, was great. She offered us an extra night in the condo to make up for the inconvenience. I contacted her and she got a hold of the cleaning company. The lady from the cleaning company was not friendly. She seemed upset with us that we wanted the trash removed that was left from the previous renters. I would not recommend that cleaning company. The pool was very dirty and was not cleaned the whole time we were here. Will not stay at Island Sands again.

The condo was lovely. Just steps to the beach. Lots of fun nearby—mini golf, go carts, and tasty restaurants. Condo owner was communicative, helpful and friendly prior to and during travel. We’ll be back next summer.

We love staying in Gloria’s condo. It's a perfect place that is a short walk to the beach. Gloria is great to work with. We plan to stay there every year.

The condo is very comfortable and relaxing. It has everything you need. The owner is very friendly. The location can’t be beat. It is literally on the beach, you can’t get any closer. It’s also very close to restaurants and activities.

The unit was exactly as advertised and was right on the beach. Great view and easy access. Very clean. All the appliances were new and worked great. More lighting is needed in the kitchen over the stove top and that can be done with light bulb replacement. That is the only negative thing I could say about the unit. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We are 3 retired ladies taking a mini vacay. Location was excellent! Water and beach still best in the panhandle. Condo was comfortable. Would not recommend more than 4 adults though as sleeper sofas when pulled out are NOT comfortable. We slept on these as singles and it was fine. Could use some additional cookware for those who need to cook. Biggest need for us was an indoor table, wouldn't have to be a large one, but if that's not possible a card table with some type chairs to provide a place to play cards. One other thing, the table on the balcony needs replacing. None of the things I have mentioned are a reason not to rent this unit--- just my opinion as to what would make it even better. We had a great time and would rent this unit again.

Pros: This place is in a great location, has beautiful views, and love the new stackable washer/dryer.
Cons: You can tell (other than the appliances)that there hasn’t been a lot of upkeep done. One of the sofa beds was broken and isn’t usable, and also appeared to have a large blood stain on the mattress. Table on the patio had a large piece broken off of it. It was usable but an eyesore. Wrappers and other trash was left behind the tv stand. There were candy wrappers and other trash inside the first aid kit.
Pictures shown on listing make this place look a lot better than it actually is.

Perfect for my family of 3
My 2 little boys and I had an amazing stay! The condo was perfect for us. It's right on the beach and right down the road from shops and restaurants. Gloria was very good and fast at communicating. Thank you so much for letting us stay!

Pretty typical Okaloosa
Pros:
-location is great
-view from balcony is amazing!
-quiet building
-beach service is reliable
-pool is an amazing touch, located to the rear of the property
-kitchen has everything you need.
-washer and dryer are super convenient
-assigned parking spots make everything easier!
Cons:
-the pull out beds in the living room couches are in terrible (basically unusable condition.) Our children did not sleep well.
-did not have enough linens for pull-out couches (blankets, pillows, sheets)
-unit is need of a deep clean
-smells of mildew/damp but that is pretty typical for Okaloosa but may be helpful if you’re sensitive to allergens
-rusted curtain rods, rusted light fixtures, etc.
My family and I have been visiting Okaloosa Island for some time, this was our first time staying in this building and overall felt our stay here was fine, but improvements could definitely be made. If you don’t plan on using any of the pull out couches the bed in the room is great!

Great Weekend
A Very clean and updated condo. We had a great view of the beach and it was a very short trip to walk to it. You can hear the sound of the waves from the room, thats how close. Less than 30 rooms in whole complex, felt like the beach was our own and the chair/ umbrella rental included was a nice bonus. Theres also a nice pool out front if you get sick of the waves. 5 stars all the way. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Vacation Rental
The location of this vacation home was delightful since it was oceanfront. The rental's noise level is low and close to Stewby (a seafood restaurant). The host was quick to respond to the email sent in regards to the Wifi access number for the connection. Two things that stood out to me were that the condo had a mildew smell to it and the bed was uncomfortable. In addition, new bath towels would be appreciated by your future guests.

Overall good, property and expierence just fine. The bed mattress certainly colud use a replacement, hate to complain but a bit saggy and soft for us. The 2 couches certainly past their prime. Overall fair price and decent accommodation and very pleasant experience.
