The house was perfect for our large group of adults, with enough space for everyone/every couple to have their own bedroom and bathroom. The location is very walkable to South Bethany and the parking pass was helpful for ferrying larger items to the beach. We appreciated the grill and the outdoor shower as well. Communication was clear with Don and check-in was very easy.

The house needed to be cleaned. They don't even provide fitted sheets for beds or pillowcases. The refrigerator was off, and I tried reaching out to the property manager he/she would not pick up my calls and barely answered my text messages on how to find the electrical panel to try to turn the refrigerator on. The only response I got from him/her was "I will check early tomorrow morning." I sent this text early enough in the day for him/her to try to help me resolve the issue. The kitchen stove does not work properly as well. Cooking was very difficult as the heat would turn low frequently. The internet does not work at all. We had to use our cellular hotspot the whole weekend. There were too many things going wrong to be paying for the price it is. This house has a lot of potential to be a great vacation rental. I feel robbed that this house was not what it was made out to be. My family and I tried to make the most of it.

We loved our stay at this home. The house was as described. This should be a great rental for anyone looking for a big space for a large group. The big dinning table was great, and beds were comfortable.
We love the area easy walking distance to many places, including the beach.

Our family had a very good week at this property. We were a group of nine: 6 adults and 3 children, plus a dog. There was plenty of room for us to be together at times and to have our own spaces as well. The house is about a 7-10 minute walk from Bethany Beach, which was never crowded during our stay. We were all pleased with the D'Light House.

We love the area easy walking distance to many places. Loved hanging out on the deck its very spacious inside. We had great beach weather. The inside was not very clean more dust than what we have experienced in other vacay rentals. But we still had a great time together. Thank you.

D’Light house was in a great location for our family for what we enjoy doing, which is crabbing, clamming, fishing and close enough to walk to the beach. The kitchen was pretty well equipped with plates, glasses, mugs, pots and pans and utensils. It lacked containers for leftovers, which I guess we should have thought to bring those. Definitely does not have any spices, which was fine we purchased our own.
The rest of the house was plenty big however it was packed full of so much stuff of the owners that it made it seem small and not enough room for all of our stuff. The layout of the house is odd. If you want to go downstairs you either have to down a VERY narrow spiral staircase or go outside and down the outside steps and around to the first floor doors. The furniture is all very outdated and stained, we put sheets over the couches so we felt more comfortable sitting on them. Most of the beds were so uncomfortable most of us were woke up very sore every morning.
The dining room table is very nice though, it accommodated our whole family of 12.
It was nice having so many bedrooms and bathrooms however they were all dirty and could tell they hadn’t been cleaned in quite a while.
The house had a nice deck and dock for our boat and nice deck furniture. The only problem out there was the bushes all around the deck are very overgrown and taken over the entire area, you could barely get through the path to get to the deck.
This house has the potential be wonderful.

We had 14 people in this big house for our daughter’s wedding. We enjoyed the location, easy beach access, large parking area, the number of rooms and bathrooms and large common area, but the house was not very clean. I think the owner needs to hire a new cleaning crew. The ground floor was dusty and smelled like air freshener trying to cover up cat odor, one of the mattress covers had a blood stain on it and there was a lot of trash under the beds and had not been vacuumed. The bathrooms were not very clean either, there was hair in the sinks, a towel bar was broken on the main floor, too. The owner said that the cleaning team would be in touch with us but they never called. Also, we have stayed in lots of rentals and they always provide you with some toilet paper and paper towels to start you out, but this property expects you to get all that, so we arrived and first thing had to go out and buy toilet paper -be forewarned! And to top it off, the Owner had a long list of rules and even asked that we water his outside plants!
So, in summary, we liked the house but would not rent it again. Sorry!

The house is the perfect size for large groups, the big dinning table was great, and beds were comfortable. However it's crowded with unnecessary furniture. The main sliding door which leads to the stairs was extremely difficult to open and close. Upon arrival we found the house had not been cleaned properly - dirty kitchen countertop, dirty bathroom sink, a pancake in the pullout sofa bed!!

This was a great rental for anyone looking for a big space for a group. The host was receptive and easy to coordinate with and would recommend a stay here!

We had an absolutely wonderful time! Online information was accurate. Don is great to work with. He makes it very smooth to access house and communication ahead of time was appreciated. It’s a large, beautiful house. We loved our family time in the open area- cooking, playing games, chatting. It is a quick walk to the beach. Highly recommend.

The home is spacious, beautiful, on the water, and close to the beach! There are several porches to enjoy queit time and enough bathrooms to avoid arguments and lines. The outdoor shower is a great feature when coming back from the beach.
We made many wonderful memories during our week here and would definitely come back!

A quiet neighborhood away from all the hustle and bustle of beach life but only an 8 minute walk to the shore even with 7 kids, the oldest being 11. We were initially concerned about having to cross the Coastal Highway but our fears were eliminated by the very secure crossing lights and the courteous drivers.
The large dining table served our group of 14 very well and the bedrooms on 3 floors allowed us to spread out.

Excellent
We loved our stay at this home. The house was as described. We had plenty of room for all our kids. We enjoyed the outdoor living area and enjoyed our dinners on the canal.

Excellent location. Just a short walk to the beach. Close to eateries.
The property however was disappointing to me. This house was not cleaned as was indicated to me. The carpet in the bunk bedroom room had not been vacuumed. The bathroom in the hallway floor around toilet had not been cleaned. The stairway leading in to the house around the back were very weak and unstable. When sitting on the deck during a rain storm while we were there the gutters were so filled with debris that we could not sit on the deck without getting wet because of water pouring out of them. Even though I was advised after I had checked in of the burners not working on the stove and two bedrooms could not use their tvs because their was no comcast box available, I was not offer any kind of discount for my inconvenience. I paid what was asked for the stay I requested but did not get what I paid for. Also, one of the bedrooms on the level with the kitchen had a very small closet, doors were off the track and they were filled with a lot of stuff that we did not need. You needed a muscle man to open the sliding glass door because they were hard to open. The kitchen table was too large for the area and created a hazard for entering from the sunroom because of the long bench. Bench should be moved to the other side of the table. One of my guest banged her knee on the bench. The laundry room was also junky with a mattress and sheet left leaning against the wall. Vents in the ceiling were not cleaned also. I wouldn't rent this house again nor refer it to my family. I have pictures if you would like to see what we experienced.

Just as expected. There has been some enhancements to bedding and porch area has been painted and is nice and bright with new curtains and lamp. Kitchen has new pans and there are plenty of dishes and silverware so you do not need to run the dishwasher constantly. Very comfortable home and enjoyable for all on the waterway. The weather was warm so the short walk to the beach was great.

Beautiful Home
We truly enjoyed our days spent together making memories and laughing. The house was big enough to fit all of us...8 adults and 6 kids. It had everything we needed to cook and just enjoy our time together.

We did have an issue with a breaker going out and contacted the owner of the home. He came out within ten minutes to help rectify the situation.
Only complaint we had was that the house was not properly cleaned. All of the showers and tubs had human hair in and around them, carpets and floors were not completely swept and/or vacuumed, and the kitchen should have been cleaner (counters sloppily wiped and items left on them). We've rented through Vrbo in the past and the houses were much cleaner.
