We really enjoyed our stay here. First it is conveniently located to many different activities in and around Traverse City. It's in a neighborhood setting which we wanted, not in a condominium type of building. The availability of the garage is an added bonus, quite large - it easily fit a long wheel base pickup truck. The kitchen was very nicely equipped and very functional. Very comfortable furniture. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and will definitely rent again. Communications with the owner are excellent - super guy to work with.

Our friends came to stay for a long weekend, and we wanted them to have their own space away from the chaos of our kid- and pet-filled home to enjoy their time in TC. This home was perfect! Very convenient for downtown TC, with access to all of the great restaurants and shops. It was very nice to be able to pull a car into the garage - I could see this being a big advantage for winter guests. The home was quite clean and well-appointed, and all appliances worked perfectly. It does take a moment to get used to squirrels dropping acorns on the metal roof though! All in all, it was a great spot, and we would definitely rent it again.

James was very easy to correspond with and arriving and departing were no problem. Garage for car, spacious, clean. From prior reviews it appeared to be a very walkable, central neighborhood, but in our opinion that wasn't necessarily the case. The immediate neighborhood was a bit odd and felt sort of fringe-ey, so while it was in close enough proximity to the things we wanted to do, it wasn't a place we felt we wanted to walk from or hang around outside at, and this surprised us based on prior reviews.

We had a great time staying at this VRBO and would recommend to anyone! The location was great - 15 minute walk to downtown Traverse City. Also only 2 blocks to the grocery store. Great location for seeing other destinations nearby Traverse City - during our stay we also explored Sleeping Bear Dunes (~30 minute drive) and Charlevoix (~ 1 hour drive). The property was very clean, comfortable beds, nice kitchen, garage parking - everything you could want. James was a great host and easy to communicate with.

James was available for our every beck and call. He built this place himself. Who who expect such a beautiful VRBO. Number one, it was spotless and everything was like new. And I would have never expected such attention to detail! Beautiful Wainscoting, gorgeous doors, really unique wood steps with lights in them as you come in from the garage. It was in the most perfect location! My daughter could sit on the upper deck, but she preferred sitting on the driveway watching the Blue Angels perform. It was close enough to ride her bike to town, which she did. He had a HUGE garage that she kept her truck in, or any other recreational vehicles you had could fit in there. AND, my soon to be 20yo grandson said he had an awesome sound system. We can’t wait to rent this gem again!

Summer Trip to Sleeping Bear & Traverse City
This property was a great base camp for our time in Traverse City. It’s only a couple of minutes from Front Street by car, and was easy to access the highway to Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore. There is also a grocery store and bakery just down the street.

Traverse City Fun
Property is a 20 minute walk to the restaurants and stores. Perfect to burn a few calories to earn desert. Property manager was very efficient answering my questions before and during our visit. It was an unusual hot week when we visited and the air conditioning works spot on in the property. Excellent property manager + delightful property = a wonderful time.

Amazing host / location
James was an amazing host. He handled all of my requests quickly and with results that exceeded expectations. The carriage house was in walking distance to many good restaurants and the use of the garage was so helpful.

My wife and two kids (14 and 8) spent a week at Jim's property and it was a perfect place. Great location, a few min drive to Front Street / downtown TC and the bay area. The house has everything you'd need, the beds are comfy, and the location is quiet and relaxing. Great back and forth communications with Jim, including recommendations! We'd definitely stay here again.

This house is just as amazing as it looks in photos. Stayed for a week with husband and teenage daughters. We loved it! The furniture and beds were super comfortable and we loved that there are ceiling fans in the bedrooms. Everything is provided and the place is very modern. The 2 car garage was great for storing our golf clubs and beach gear. We even played corn hole in the garage one rainy night (brought our own boards).
The house is only 1 mile from downtown Traverse City so very convenient. Didn’t seem to be easily walkable so we drove but even during the cherry festival we were able to find parking.
James was quick to respond and helpful when we had questions about check in. We didn’t even need to contact him during the stay - no issues! We would absolutely stay here again.

Simply Fantastic!
This was my first experience using one of these services and I have to say it was a great start. Me and few buddies rented the place so we could visit some of the breweries and wineries and we were instantly impressed by the design of the place. It is very open, clean, and high quality. The owner was very easy to work with and answered the phone the couple times I had to call. When I make it back up there I hope this space is available so I can rent it again. Thank you for the great experience!!

This property was very charming, clean, stylish and an overall wonderful place to stay. It was close to downtown without the downtown prices. I was visiting on business and felt at home. The woodwork was wonderful, we will be staying here again!

Very nice, loft type place. Wide open and very comfortable. Short distance to downtown Traverse City. All the amentities of home! I will definitely stay there again.
