I precedenti proprietari trascorsero dieci anni a costruire la casa, abbattendo e sbucciando tutti i tronchi stessi. È una vera opera d'arte d'Alasca, e non c'è niente di simile nell'area di Seward.
Abbiamo acquistato la casa nel 2007 e viviamo in un piccolo appartamento sopra il garage indipendente all'interno della proprietà. Quindi, siamo in giro per aiutarti con le attività e le informazioni locali e assicurarti di ottenere il massimo dalla tua vacanza! Abbiamo due cani che vivono con noi e giocano nel cortile, ma non sono ammessi nel registro di casa.

Ora abbiamo una lavatrice / asciugatrice per gli ospiti - tutto nuovo nel 2017! La casa è moderna e molto pulita, ma accogliente e confortevole. Welcomed with a plate of home made chocolate chip cookies. Clean, charming cabin with lots of history and character. Owners friendly and helpful. Plenty of room for spreading out, quite time when wanted. We enjoyed the hot tub. Clean. Everything we needed was provided plus extras to make it like coming home.

Nine of us stayed here for my daughter's beach wedding in Seward in late August and it was the perfect Alaskan log cabin the large group. Lots of room to spread out, big kitchen with all the things you need to prepare meals, and a huge yard with a fire pit for smores. You couldn't ask for nicer host than Wendy. Even though they live on property, you would never know you had a neighbor, but she was always there if we had a question. She even took a video of a mama bear and her two cubs visiting our deck one day and shared it with us! Overall a great experience.

The cabin was gorgeous and the location was just so beautiful. It was super easy to find and the instructions were clear. For our large group the place was perfect and had all the amenities we might require.
Wendy was so sweet and attentive to all the questions and queries the group might have had.
Thank you so much for opening up your lovely house to us and let us experience it. Would 100% recommend it to family and friends! :)

This house was definitely one of the best properties I’ve ever stayed at. The home was beautiful, very clean, had a well stocked kitchen, and had everything we needed for an enjoyable and comfortable stay. The owner lives right next door and made us feel right at home. The property is also a 10 minute drive to Seward and has plenty of room for big families. I can’t say a bad thing about this property and hope to stay there again one day.

We were so happy with our stay at the Bear Paw Lodge! So much space and so many amenities. Perfect for our group of 10 adults. The abundance of towels, cups, plates were key! We loved having a movie available to wind down at night and being close to town but also out in the quiet neighborhood.
Wendy was an excellent host and was very communicative! She also helped us book our glacier cruise adventure. We would be so happy to return to Seward again.

Bear Paw Lodge was the perfect space for our group of 7. Two families with 4 adults and 3 kids. The lodge was in a great location close to Seward and in a beautiful setting. Plenty of room for everyone including the kids. The lodge is super cozy and warm and we looked forward to coming home every day after adventuring. We loved the recycling bins and the Sonos speaker system

Cabin is beautiful! Much larger than it appears in photos. Cabin is extremely clean and well equiped with everything you may need to enjoy your stay. Great location to visit local attractions.

Wendy was a superior host. Her communication was spot on. The home is an incredible work of art. One can truly appreciate all the hard work and dedication that went into the restoration. The location is very peaceful. Tons of amenities. Accurate description. You can not go wrong renting this home. Would return in heartbeat! We loved every thing about our stay at Bear Paw Lodge. The small details definitely set you apart from any VRBO I have ever stayed in. Than you for your hospitality and I am glad I was able to meet you in person. I would love to make it back again some day.

We had a great stay and loved that the property was in Seward, but away from the campground and craziness that comes with the Fourth of July. We loved the hot tub and the space of the cabin was great. It was SUPER well equipped specifically the kitchen and made it easy to cook meals and prepare food. There are specific rules about guest limits and use of amenities so make sure to know your exact group size when booking. Also some of the checkout steps took a little time so make sure to plan ahead for the time needed. We would stay here again and thought the cabin was beautiful. The owners were also very quick in replying and helpful!

This is a great place to stay if you’re visiting Seward with a family or larger group of people. Amazing log cabin located close to town in a quiet neighborhood. Lots of room. Clean. Great deck & hot tub. Wendy, the owner, is a great communicator. She’s helpful and attentive & seems to genuinely care about her guests. Check in / out was easy. I can’t say enough about this place!

We loved experiencing this true log cabin. Thank you for including the book you created on the history of the home, that was fun to read. The location was great for going to Seward or Exit Glacier. The home has lots of towels, we really appreciated that! It was a lot bigger than we expected. We also had fun playing some of the games provided. Everything was there that we needed. It was a beautiful home. Thank you.

Our family of 4 stayed at Bear Paw Lodge for 3 nights. This house is huge and the cleanest rental we have ever stayed at. Wendy has gone above and beyond with directions on how to use just about everything, which makes things a bit easier. The Lodge is beautiful and has lots of space. It was a bit of a splurge for the 4 of us (as it sleeps many more) but we were coming from a week in a small cabin in Denali and we all were happy to have some space.
The lodge is not far from town but out of the thick of people, which we appreciate. It's kind of nestled in the trees. We even watched a mama moose with her calf mosey around the yard one morning.
The washer and dryer are huge and were a welcome sight!
It rained a lot while we were there and while my husband did enjoy a dip in the hot tub, we didn't use the deck at all. But it is very nice!
I loved the pictures on the walls, which looked like most were personally taken.

This place is even nicer than described. Gorgeous log home with all possible amenities and very nicely appointed. The gas slate fireplace is amazing. Wendy, the host, was easy to work with and very responsive. Kitchen facilities were wonderful and easy to cook for eight adults. Four couples had a very comfortable stay 5 minutes from all the great activities in Seward.

Just have to say this VRBO is AMAZING. The owners have thought of everything you need. The house was beautiful and these owners actually built the house themselves. It was comfortable, with plenty of room, privacy and quiet spaces to sit and look at the beautiful scenery. They touched base with us to see if we needed anything. Would definitely recommend staying here if you're in Seward -- was close enough to the wharf and downtown area and they also had a binder with suggestions for places to see or visit. Great hosts and you will not be disappointed if you choose this VRBO. If we return to that area, will definitely rent this again!

This place is great, it has everything that you need for a nice stay in Seward, the host Wendy is very helpfull and nice.
We are planning on going back next summer for more fishing and this is where we will be staying.

This place was perfect and really clean. I was initially annoyed by the no-shoes rule because it seemed excessive, but when I saw how clean the house was I got over it.
We had 9 people in the house and felt perfectly comfortable. The house was really well maintained and we were sad to leave.

We absolutely loved staying at the Bear Paw Lodge! There were 8 of us ranging from ages 17-74. Having the 3 bdrms downstairs for the older adults was perfect.
The location to downtown Seward is ideal. Far enough away to feel that you are in the woods but less than 10 minutes to get to any store or restaurant.
Wendy and Dave have thought of every amenity to make the stay ideal. I highly recommend!!
We enjoyed BBQ's, horseshoes, board games and relaxation after fun day's of exploring Seward.

This property has everything you could ever possibly need for a perfect Alaskan getaway! First off the owners Wendy and Dave are top notch, they are there for you with whatever you need big or small. The house had all the accommodations you would ever need plus more, there communication and expectations of the place were also great. All of these things made for a very easy transition in the house and out of the house. I would highly recommend this property to anyone venturing to Alaska for the first time it is in a great location just outside of Seward. You will be taken care of by great people and will have a great place to enjoy your stay!!!!!!

We kicked off our family trip in Alaska by staying a the Bear Paw in Seward. It was fantastic! The space was ideal for our group of 6 adults, and the attention to detail was unsurpassed. Our hosts, Wendy and Dave were readily available if needed and respected our privacy if not. The cabin location was perfect for excursions out of Seward as well. The hot tub was an additional bonus to wind down an active day. We’d absolutely recommend this rental to anyone spending time in the area.

My friends and I really enjoyed 3 nights in this cabin. It was closer to downtown than expected and had pretty much anything you would need to relax. Our favorite part was the hot tub which was a great feature after some rainy days out on the water. The place was really clean, well stocked, and expansive. Wendy was really great communicating details and even booked one of our tours for us. Would definitely stay again!

Comfortable Spacious Seward Stay
Our family of 5 loved all the comfortable space at Bear Paw Lodge during our Alaskan adventure. The weather was rainy so when we were not out exploring the area, we had plenty of space for everyone to relax. The house was extremely clean, well-stocked with everything from clothes detergent to paper products and anything else you may need. House is close to town and surrounded by beautiful trees. The front porch was a great place to have an evening drink on our one dry evening. Would def recommend this house for families or friend groups. Our boys loved the welcome cookies that Wendy made! Lovely home with gracious hosts who take a lot of pride in their lodge and running it professionally.
