La nostra cabina ristrutturata sul lago è la cornice perfetta per una vacanza rilassante. Questa accogliente cabina offre una vista sul lago dalla camera da letto principale, dal soggiorno, dalla sala da pranzo e dalla cucina. Il camino ha un inserto a gas che fornisce calore e migliora l'intimità della cabina. La lavanderia, la sala da pranzo, il bagno, la cucina completamente attrezzata e il soggiorno si trovano al piano principale. The house and property were very nice. The house had everything and was very nice. The only disappointing thing was the abundance of grass in the lake and around the dock. Great for boating, but not good for swimming.

Everything, always, perfect.
We have stayed here for a few years now and everything is always perfect. Had a little trouble with a couple things but Karen is always so responsive and we had another wonderful stay. We walk the neighborhood every morning. The neighbors are always friendly. The perfect place to relax. The kitchen has everything you could ever need to prepare any meal.

We enjoyed a girls' getaway for a long weekend! We had originally planned a fall trip to see the colors, but some friends had a covid scare and Karen was very flexible and accommodating!! We enjoyed some time in Stillwater, but otherwise we just relaxed around the house taking in the beauty of the winter wonderland! Lots of time was spent around the fireplace! Some of us tried snowshoeing for the first time which was an experience :) The house was well stocked, clean, and felt like home (instead of a rental). We would definitely recommend!!

Host thought of everything
Very cozy conversational living area with a nice warm fireplace! Photos online do not begin to give a feel for how lovely and functional this place is. We had big plans for snowshoeing but we were too comfy to move...lots of thoughtful touches throughout, extra paper products (kleenex-next-to-the bed kind of host), adorable holiday themed placemats and tasteful decor, enough place settings to feed a crowd (there's even a fold up banquet table and chairs helpfully stashed in a closet). Look for the book in the games cabinet that details how the owners renovated the cabin - fascinating and made us feel like old friends instead of renters. We were supposed to meet our best friends there to celebrate New Year's weekend but they had a Covid scare, ended up being just me and my husband. We thought we might get bored but it was incredibly relaxing and beautiful on the frozen lake. We will definitely try a repeat visit next winter!

We had a wonderful week at this property. Property was just as described. Tom and Karen were great! They stayed in close communication with us to assure that all of our needs were met and that we were satisfied with our stay. I would highly recommend this property. We used all of the aquatic equipment while we were there and loved watching all the birds at the feeders. The row boat was a bit far from the dock but the water was low so we were easily able to walk out in the water and get it. The shoreline did have quite a few weeds to walk through but those were such minor things. We had a wonderful time and have come home with amazing memories!!

We very much enjoyed our 10 days on Forest Lake. Very quiet/peaceful/friendly neighborhood. Our kids all live in the Cities so works great for them to stop over.

Welcome home.
Karen is a dream to work with. So welcoming, accommodating, caring and responsive. The cabin is just like coming home: very clean, cozy and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. Beds are very comfortable. The neighbors are very friendly. Lots of fun wildlife came across the dock each day: turtles, ducks, cranes and an enormous gathering of Canada geese. Perfectly located: Forest Lake, Lindstrom, Stillwater, and Taylor Falls provide much to explore: hiking, shopping, wineries and dining. We will return here every year.

This is a perfect little home nestled on the lake. The area is quiet with sweet and kind neighbors!
Karen was very cooperative with our special requests and the house was perfect when we arrived! The extra bedroom downstairs really made it the perfect size for our family. We loved sitting outside, playing games and having some down time with our family. It’s the perfect place for a lake vacation!

Tranquility
We love everything thing about it. It's meticulously clean and recently updated in a very tasteful and comfortable manner. We do everything thing from launch SUPs and kayaks to bringing the family pontoon to the dock. Morning coffee at the waterfront, looking out over the lake, is just the best way to start a fun day on the waterfront ending it with a BBQ on the patio. There is way too much to say (all good and wonderful) to put in this short review.

Great Lake view
Very nice remodeled cabin with a great view of the lake. Also big back yard flat to the lake with no steps. Family friendly neighborhood that has good walking and bike paths near. Kayaks are nice to have to use and so easy access the water in and out.

Karen was great and she made us feel right at home. She was very helpful in making accommodations for us setting up beds and making sure we had everything we needed. The Innsjo Hytte was everything that it says it is. It is a very clean cabin and in a nice quiet neighborhood. The cabin is tucked away in the country but reasonably close to the city for attractions. We were able to moor our boat at the dock in the back yard, we could jump in the boat and go fishing anytime we wanted. A great place to eat is "The old log cabin" restaurant right down the road. We had a great time at the Innsjo Hytte and would highly recommend this place!! We will be returning for another trip.

We rented the cabin for our daughters wedding. The location is beautiful, the cabin is wonderful, and Karen is absolutely the best!

A quiet retreat on the lake
We had a wonderful stay at Innsjo Hytte. The cabin was comfortable and clean, and the lake was just out the back door for easy access. Karen did a great job of anticipating our needs with two young kids, and was always available. The kitchen is well stocked with any pot or pan you could need, and the beds were very comfortable. The lake is a little shallow here, but it was great for using the provided kayaks, and we were able to get a pontoon up to the dock with no issues. We would stay here again.

Aug. 11-18 ,2019 stay- Lovely Lakeside Cabin
Karen’s cabin was absolutely lovely. Very clean. I picked this cabin because of Karen’s description of her father relaxing & watching the lake. Sounded perfect for our family of 4. I loved my mornings drinking coffee on the deck. The boys got to try their hand at fishing. The kayaks were perfect . We loved kayaking on the lake looking at the wildlife. My younger son loved the room that Karen made up for him. He wished he could live there permanently. The cabin had everything needed to cook meals, watch movies and play cards.
The beds were very comfortable and soft with pretty linens. Nice soaps too! Also loved that there was information on places to visit. We tried the scenic boat tour of Taylor’s Falls. Very nice tour. All in all a 5 star stay!

Great Lake House
Beautiful home in a beautiful location. Everything you could need was provided. Loved the paddle board and kayak! Great time with family. Wished we had paddled out to the sandbar sooner, what a great place for swimming!

Crooked Tree Cabin
We very much enjoyed our 12 days at this property. The cabin is setup great for family gathering. We love the large deck and large yard flat to the lake. Also enjoyed having the kayak to use. The parking is good for several cars when our kids come visit. Nice distance from the cities where our 3 kids live/work.

Wonderful Time
This property was the perfect layout for a Minnesota lake vacation. The property was above and beyond our expectations. Very clean and every detail was met. Karen is incredibly organized and a wonderful hostess. Very well laid out house, great view and just a peaceful setting. We loved our stay!!

Amazing host, beautiful cabin, impeccably clean, extraordinarily appointed.
Everything about our stay was perfect. The cabin was exactly as described. Everything was very clean. We cooked almost all of our meals at the cabin and found everything we needed to do so. Very well appointed kitchen with new appliances. We also enjoyed an outdoor fire at the fire-pit lakeside every night. All communication with Karen were great as well. We will return here, again and again.

Exquisite Getaway
We had an amazing weekend at Innsjo Hytte. It is a beautiful house, very nicely updated and modern, but also still delightfully rustic and northwoods-y. The surroundings are as true to a Minnesota lake cottage as you're going to find and the views of the lake are nothing short of stunning.
Karen is the ultimate hostess. Extremely friendly, prompt in replying to questions, and very thorough in providing all the information you need to have a fabulous stay.
Very highly recommended and a reasonable distance from any number of things you might want to do in the Twin Cities, along the St. Croix river and beyond.

Very nice property and very gracious owners. The pictures on VRBO do not do the cabin justice.
Love the flat yard to the lake and large deck outback. Many window views of the lake also. We need to rent a boat in the summer and Forest Lake has good options for that. Only item we would like to have had at the cabin was a gas grill. We used the coals for the Weber for our short stay this fall that worked fine for the one meal we grilled. Looking forward to a longer Summer stay in June.
