We loved everything about our two night stay at this beautiful guesthouse on Count Kalnoky's estate. The house is traditionally furnished & very tasteful. Elegant furniture & decorations in the comfortable bedroom & a modern bath/shower room which provided everything we needed.
We were welcomed by our host, Ata with a little local drink which was lovely & he looked after all our needs during our stay (including a private tour of the castle). We had breakfast & dinner each night on our own (as we were the only guests!) & the food was fabulous - all home-made Romanian fare.
All in all, a truly idyllic place - totally recommend!

It’s a lovely setting in a beautiful unspoiled part of the world.
The room was a little small and it took a bit of navigating to get around it with two!

The old buildings, furniture and decor was lovely.
It is lacking upkeep, it seemed that there is a disinterest in having guests stay. The room was sold as having a courtyard view, yet it overlooked the street with the street light shining in at night. There was an old small packet of coffee, two tea bags and no milk, this small detail should be filled for each new guest.
The cook was lovely and made an effort to prepare very nice gluten and dairy free meals. The bread however was cheap shop brought bread which was disappointing, we were told by the manager that I wanted fresh homemade bread then I should have visited 100 years ago.
There are also a bunch of activities you can do that are not listed and need to be pre-booked.
