This was a wonderful base for our stay in Balboa. Just a quick walk to downtown Balboa Island, and meticulously clean and cared for. The owner is very friendly and accomodating. We'd enjoy staying again.

The house is so nice and very comfortable. The beds are quite comfortable as well. This was a four girl weekend and there was plenty of room and the bathroom is quite large. We had fun hanging out on the front porch, playing board games (many in the house to choose from). Walking around the island is a must as is shopping in the great boutique stores on Marine Ave. We never left the island except one night to walk to Bayside Restaurant for dinner. Lori the host was fabulous and friendly and great at communication before and during our stay. I would definitely rent this home again.

Lori was an amazing host who has made her lovely rental warm, comfortable, and inviting. She took extra care in making sure we had everything we needed for a much needed girls weekend! From providing coffee and a delightful treat to making sure we had information on all the best things to do on the island and beyond, Lori went above and beyond to make our trip special. The house was impeccably clean and was outfitted with anything and everything we could need.

This house is adorable! The owner, Lori, is communicative, welcoming and thoughtful. We arrived to a delicious pound cake loaf on the kitchen table. The beds are comfortable and sheets soft and lovely. The kitchen is well stocked. The patio was perfect for lounging and dinners. This house is close to everything. We rented bikes and took a Duffy boat cruise and never used our car. Would highly recommend this rental.

Our trip to Maui was canceled due to the heartbreaking fires. We found this cottage last minute and felt so blessed. Lori is truly the most thoughtful hostess. The property was perfect! From beach towels, portable crib, sand toys, boogie boards, sand chairs, laundry, comfy beds, clean and delightful! The front porch was our favorite spot! We ate all our meals, played games, completed a 500 piece puzzle, and snuggled up with good books and conversation. Our 13 month old grandson was in heaven on the beach! There is an area to spray off toys and sandy toes. Lori has thought of everything! A charming, little jewel!

our time with our five teenage grandkids was awesome at this beach cottage. The home was clean, cute, and very well stocked including beach suppilies like extra towels, chairs, buggie boards, and umbrella. the owner was the best host ever...we can't wait to go back

Lori’s place is attractive, comfortable, and easily accommodated our extended family group for games, meals and beach play. We walked everywhere and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

Great beach cottage for a family vacation. We had other extended family on the island for a family reunion and it was super easy to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The beds were comfy, and dinners on the patio were a highlight. We hope to return!

Our family had the best time in this beautiful beach home that is perfectly situated one block from Marine, and central to both sides of the island.
The home was very clean, accommodating, with comfortable beds/pillows. We never had to turn on the air, due to the cool ocean breeze in the evening. Lori couldn’t have been more welcoming.
We had the best time spending a day on the peninsula for a beach day, and went whale watching (we saw a blue whale breach 4x, saw 2 sea turtles and the bottle nose dolphins surfed our wake).
We also enjoyed a sunset Duffy rental, joined with friends. Our morning and nightly walks around the island were relaxing.
We definitely hope to return soon!

Everything about this home and host was top-notch. Aside from having stocked the kitchen with just about everything we needed to prepare meals in the cottage, Lori also left us a freshly baked chocolate chip pound cake as a special treat for my adult son's birthday. As we were also traveling with my son's young family, Lori also offered the use of a port a crib and baby gate! On top of that, she provided boogie boards and umbrellas for us to use at the beach, all of which greatly reduced what we needed to bring. Speaking of the beach, the cottage is just a block and half to the beaches on either side of the island and even closer to the town! Having spent summers on the island as a child, this was an absolutely perfect trip down memory lane to be able to experience with my own son and grandsons. We will most definitely be back!

We LOVED it! Perfect for our girls weekend.
The cottage was in a great location to walk around to dinner and shops. We rented bikes per Lori's suggestion and had a great time. The cottage had everything we needed to cook our own meals, it was cozy and clean and cute we enjoyed hanging out telling stories. We highly recommend this beautiful cottage and hope to return!

We had a wonderful long weekend on the island. The house was perfectly located to food, shopping and recreation. Lori was a great hostess and the house was stocked with all of the necessities. Highly recommend!

My girlfriends and I stayed at this adorable home and had the best time. It was our second time staying here and the location is perfect. The home is darling and very clean. Lori, the owner, is so sweet and great to work with. It is minutes to the Balboa's main strip where the shops and restaurants are. We are definitely returning and can't wait to sit on the porch and enjoy our time. I highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay on balboa island. You can’t beat the location! A block away from the Main Street. The outside deck was adorable and the bed were comfortable! Great place to relax and I would highly recommend this place! We will definitely be back one day!

My girlfriends and I had such a wonderful weekend staying at Lori's cute house! We loved the location, so close to shopping and dining and we especially loved all of Lori's little touches. The place was very clean and the beds were super comfy. The best, though, was the front porch. It was just the perfect place to spend mornings and evenings. Thank you Lori for your hospitality. We spent a perfect weekend celebrating our mom’s birthday at this exceptional cottage! Lori is a fabulous host … from her thorough communication, to the seamless arrival process, to the warm welcome note and delicious cinnamon bread and coffee that awaited us, no detail was overlooked! The house is immaculate, fully stocked with everything you need, and the bedrooms couldn’t be cozier. Our mornings and afternoons on the patio were a highlight, enjoying perfect weather and all the friendly people passing by. Located just a block from the Marine Ave. shops and restaurants, the house is perfectly situated. Our stay was absolutely perfect, and we can’t wait to come back!

We had a great time.. walking distance to everywhere we needed to go.. walking distance to the Bay and the ferry, restaurants shops.. Beautiful quaint quiet neighborhood. Parking was not as hard as I thought neighbors were friendly.. The host was so helpful and friendly.. The house was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed.. can’t wait to book again..

Balboa's Best
The house was awesome. 3 comfortable rooms were perfect for our family. Water access 1 block in either direction allowed for ample family beach time. Shops and dining are also footsteps away. Our hosts could not have been nicer. We will definitely be making a return visit. Highly recommended!!

Balboa Island family fun getaway!
We enjoyed our weekend stay at this darling comfortable vintage beach cottage! It was just as described very clean, fully stocked with everything we needed & in a perfect location!
So close to everything just one block to walk to the restaurants & cute shops & to the balboa bay on either direction! The parking was a bit of a challenge being so close to the Main Street but we were able to find spots available the next street over.

This cottage was a perfect weekend getaway for my family. We live locally but always love to be on Balboa Island to shop, eat and walk. The cottage was a perfect location for everything and very comfortable for our family with 2 teenagers. The host was very communicative and responsive and we loved the decor and the amenities provided.

Although it only has one bathroom the bathroom is very large and located in a private corner of the cottage and would be no issue sharing with couples or family.
