Z House | Shaded Coastal Hideaway on the dunes
La zona giorno della casa Z si apre su un ponte schermato con una zona pranzo aggiuntiva. C'è un ponte aperto di fronte alle dune, così come una piattaforma nido di corvo con una splendida vista sul Golfo, il luogo perfetto per guardare i tramonti Dauphin Island. La casa dispone di Wi-Fi, TV via cavo, lettore DVD in salotto, grande lavatrice e asciugatrice, forno a microonde e tostapane. Grandi TV a schermo piatto sia in soggiorno e camera da letto principale. La camera da letto principale si apre sul ponte e ha una spaziosa cabina armadio. Pavimenti in piastrelle di cedro e pavimenti in piastrelle di ceramica naturale. Ampio parcheggio e patio barbecue sotto casa e spazio per la barca. Il cottage si trova a solo un isolato dalla pista ciclabile dell'isola, vicino anche alla spiaggia pubblica, e si trova in una zona ideale per il birdwatching. Facile raggiungere a piedi un campo da golf, negozi di souvenir e ristoranti.

The property was accurately represented in the listing. As other reviewers have noted, the home is somewhat dated but comfortable and well-suited for a relaxing stay. The stairs felt a bit wobbly, but we never felt unsafe using them.When we arrived, the carport lights were not working. However, the host was very responsive and had the issue repaired the following day.One feature that may not be obvious is the easy beach access nearby. About a block away, at the end of the street, there is a path that leads up through the sand dunes and opens onto a beautiful beach. We found this access point more convenient than trying to reach the beach from behind the property.

If you are looking for a relaxing getaway this is the house! It had everything we needed and only a short walk to the public beach. Very easy check in and check out. Dauphin Island Realty was great and so easy to work with.

Clean and well stocked. Mosquitos are intense. Driveway was slightly overgrown, especially for a larger vehicle. Close to everything being fairly center. Enjoyed our week on the island!

NOT SAFE!The house itself is nice, but the wooden porches and stairs/railings are in a terrible state. They are rotting away. You can't even use the railings without getting numerous splinters (I pulled 4 of these out of my children on day #1). We wouldn't even let our kids play on the decks out of fear the railings would rail and they could fall right over the edge. In fact at one point while walking down the stairs a 2inch section of wood from of the stairs just broke off under my foot. Check-in was very quick and easy. While the house was near the beach as described, even technically within walking distance, however you are not allowed to walk across the Sand Dunes which stand between you and the beach. Therefore you cannot walk to the beach at all. There is also no view of the beach from the house, only of the dunes. You cannot even see the sunset except behind the trees.
