This was our first trip to Marathon and we are excited to have discovered Muffett’s place! Her property is beautiful and secluded. The apartment is well stocked, clean and comfortable. We grilled out, walked to restaurants, watched sunsets and fished. Muffett is the perfect host! We have already booked our stay for next January.

This was our second stay at this wonderful property and it does not disappoint. The views are spectacular, the host is very accommodating, the rental is perfectly appointed. We had a relaxing time and loved the fishing on the property. We will be returning for sure!

We chose this location for our Honeymoon, could not have asked for a better spot. The property manager skipped nothing when it came to our stay, bottle of wine for us when we arrived, everything was very clean and neatly organized. Full kitchen made our stay even better as we were able to cook our catch from the dock on the property. Beautiful sunsets almost every night, an array of wildlife from iguanas to manatees to a few sharks. If we ever get the chance to get away again we will most definitely be staying here.

Location was perfect 2 streets away from the boat ramp couldn't ask for better accommodations everything you could possibly need and more. First time we ever stay where the host lived on the same property, was a little concerned at first but Moffett was very nice and accommodating. The place was spotless Had great weather the week we stayed

We stayed for mini lobster season 2023. Muffett was great! She had everything you could think of available and ready for us. She is just a phone call or knock away and very helpful. The place was perfect and just what we were looking for.

Wow, what an amazing place. This was our fifth stay in Marathon, and we have finally found THE place! Muffett’s little peace of paradise is simply amazing. The home was spotless and had anything we could possibly need for a great stay, bed was super comfy, air conditioning worked great, but the grounds outside are what really won us over. We realized by day five we had hardly even left the property, except to go out and eat. She has so many great outdoor spots to sit and just enjoy the water and the beautiful sunsets. The home was the perfect size for my hubby and myself. Muffett is a great host and quickly became a friend. We are already looking to book our next trip.

There aren't enough superlatives to describe how magical this VRBO is. The location is incredible: right on the water yet only a few blocks from US 1 and everything you could want (restaurants, groceries, Sombrero Beach, etc.) as well as easy access to the rest of the Keys. The vibe is calm and mystical.
And speaking of calm and mystical, let's talk about about our wonderful host:
Muffet is one of the most grounded, loving and heart-centered people I have every met. Incredibly gracious, welcoming and a wonderful soul. I'm not surprised she's a top-rated host (the honors are well-deserved). We loved meeting her and speaking with her during our stay).
We will definitely return. We could not have asked for better accommodations, location or host. It was beyond what we'd hoped for and was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable vacations we've ever had,

We had an awesome vacation at Muffet’s paradise on the Gulf. The house is cozy and cool, a well stocked kitchenette and a gracious host who took time out of her day to give us a tour of her property on our arrival. We spent every evening watching the sunset from our front yard. Marine and bird life galore including dolphin sightings. We also saw lizards of all colors and sizes lol. Very close proximity to all conveniences. Highly recommend. Thank you Muffet for sharing your piece of Heaven with us.

If I could pick heaven, this could be it. We had a wonderful month in this amazing home. Everything about our vacation was magical. The location is number one and the sunsets are breathtaking.

Our host became a best friend and will keep in touch with her and come back to visit often.

We were so lucky we were able to stay at this little slice of paradise in Marathon. The owner, Muffett, was wonderful to work with and by the end of the week we thought of her as our friend. To be able to have coffee by the water every morning in such a private setting while watching boats and pelicans glide by, is something we’ll treasure forever. We rented bicycles and were able to easily ride to the pedestrian 7 mile bridge from our home for the week. Bahia Honda is only 17 minutes away and Sombrero beach is about 5 minutes away. There are many restaurants within walking distance and our favorite for their food was Steak and Lobster. There is a full kitchen with everything you need if you choose to cook in. This time of year, the sunset wasn't directly in front of us, but the afterglow was amazing and the lights Muffett has placed around the property made it so magical. We really hope to be back another time soon.

Muffett is an exceptional hostess! Very friendly and accommodating. The property is an absolute hidden gem! The suite itself was incredible! The craftsmanship and details made you feel like you are staying in a well appointed yacht. We came down from PA for my husband and my birthdays and had an amazing time! Very relaxing! Close to Sombrero beach (a clean very quiet beach). We definitely plan to return! Thank you so much Muffett for sharing your paradise!!

Location is private with great views of the gulf. Walking distance to several restaurants. Easy access to bike/walk trail which runs the length of the island. Sombrero Beach about a 10 minute drive but is bikeable too. Apartment is comfortable and clean with just about everything you'll need and Muffett is a gracious host. Highly recommended.

Set in what has to be one of the best locations I could ever describe… facing the ocean with plenty of seating options to watch the sunset.

Our host could not have been more friendly and offered excellent choices from beaches to restaurants.

I wish I was the type person to say it was terrible and keep this little gem to myself, but I can't. We LOVED it, everything about it. Moffett was a fabulous addition to our trip as well. If you are kind and respectful, I highly suggest this property. Location and view are hard to beat especially if you have a boat. Very clean, very well furnished. We'll definitely be back, it was very hard to leave!

Hidden jewel in the middle of the keys
Muffet has created a hidden paradise in an expertly designed vrbo that met our familys needs. Sitting outside listening to the water and sounds of birds singing watching fish and watching a duck dive down and yes even watching the iguanas was enjoyable! Lots to do as has ping pong table outside which we enjoyed at night as she has wired up lights and wifi outside! Stand up paddleboarding and fishing poles were used. This amongst other amenties right in Marathon where we enjoyed a turtle hospital and education center. snorkeling with undersea creatures and aquarium and jets skiing ..Key west is an hour west but a beautiful drive that we took several times to enjoy the town

The house is very well equipped and we weren’t in need of anything but our groceries. Papaya Bay is located very close to groceries stores, Marathon’s top Restaurants, and tourists venues—some within walking distance. We were very happy with the rental and enjoyed our stay. Loved watching dolphins, manatees, reef fish along the wall, our Great White Herron “Mikey”and other animals/reptiles. The sunsets at Papaya Bay are the best views from anywhere we’ve been in the Keys.

The house is very well equipped and we weren’t in need of anything but our groceries. Papaya Bay is located very close to groceries stores, Marathon’s top Restaurants, and tourists venues—some within walking distance. We were very happy with the rental and enjoyed our stay. Fabulous view of the sunset, right on the water. There were some areas needing maintenance. this work was going on as we were there. This work did not hinder any of our activities. Good laundry facilities right on the property, very accessible. Walking distance to several popular restaurants. Very functional layout of the house. Muffet was an excellent host, made us feel right at home.

This home is in paradise. Gulf of Mexico, beautiful sunsets and spacious home. Excellent property. It exceeded our expectations. Plenty of room for our dogs. Muffett is the best host and is readily available for suggestions about the area. This is the only place I have written a review about and can only give it positive comments. This is the place I will stay for any future trips to the keys. Thanks for everything Muffett.

Muffett’s place was our home base for a week as we explored The Florida Keys. The accommodations were great! The rental unit was spotless and contained everything we could have possibly needed. We spent each morning drinking coffee outside at one of the many sitting areas and came back to enjoy the beautiful sunsets each afternoon. The location was great and within walking distance to some great restaurants. Muffett was the perfect host and we enjoyed talking with her about her life, the Keys, and the beautiful trees and plants on her lovely property. Don’t hesitate to book this property—Muffett makes you feel like family and the views are fantastic! We hope to be back to stay with her soon!
