My family and I spent the week of Thanksgiving in the castle house. We loved being able to step out of the front door and onto the sand. The house is well-maintained and comfortable, and the remodeled bathrooms and kitchen are very nice. I must say of all the many vacation homes we have rented, this was by far the most well stocked kitchen. I was impressed. Being able to walk one block up the highway to the market or the bookstore or to have an ice cream cone was great. Elida quickly brought a new coffee pot when ours stopped working. She also helped us solve our parking issue which I greatly appreciated. It was the perfect house for our family vacation. Thank you Elida for making it feel like home.

The Castle house is amazing and magical, a great home to spend your time relaxing. Location can’t be beat. I will come as often as it is possible.

This house is truly stunning, it touched our souls and will always remain in our hearts! Elida was the perfect host and had everything so dialed in that we barely needed to contact her. My husband, 17 yr old daughter and small dog had the week of our lives. We over packed not realizing just how well this house was stocked. Easy walking distance to the cafes. We spent most of our time on the beautiful deck people and dog watching. The weekends were very busy but during the week the activity slowed down. We saw more wagging tails than we could count. Our Chihuahua thought she was Queen of the castle! We are hoping to come back next year if Elida will have us!

Spent a relaxing and fun long weekend at the Castle House. Great location..great fun watching all the dogs and humans from our perch. The house was designed to beautifully catch the views. Very clean. We, and our little dog enjoyed it very much!

We have stayed at the Castle House before and love it! The location cannot be beat. We enjoy hanging out in the living room and walking on the beach. The proximity to town is a plus. We generally buy our food at the market and enjoy eating at Parkside Cafe. Thank you for another wonderful weekend.

We loved our stay at Castle House! From the moment you walk into the house, you can tell that there has been a lot of care and thought put into making it the perfect vacation spot. The house is beautifully furnished, clean and filled with everything you need for your stay. No need to pack a lot of stuff because the house is stocked with games, puzzles and even sand toys. The house is right on the beach and provided hours of fun in the sand, surf and people-watching. We miss waking up to the sound of the ocean and enjoying lunch on the wide, spacious deck. We have never stayed at a place like this. It's probably one of the most memorable places we have ever stayed at. Thank you to Elida for sharing such a beautiful and amazing home. We created so many wonderful memories on this trip. We look forward to creating many more in the future.

This property was just perfect for a beach getaway to celebrate some significant birthdays! Right on the sand with more than ample places indoors and out to sit and watch the waves. It was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped. Elida was very easy to communicate with, and the location let us park the car on Friday and not use it again until we left on Monday.

Perfect trip to the Castle House. On the beach, close to town, and they allowed our dog. We really loved every minute there. It was very clean had everything we needed. Great host, check in was easy, and would stay here again in the future when we come back to Stinson Beach.

It was so peaceful and beautiful to see and hear the ocean "right in my own front yard." Whether walking on the beach, sitting on a deck chair or gazing out as I sat inside the house, a calm filled my soul.

The Castle house is the most amazing location in Stinson Beach. We parked our cars Friday and didn’t touch them again until Monday. We enjoyed the beach, hiking trails and wonderful restaurants in town.
The house had comfortable beds, and the sofa in the window was the perfect evening hang out. Waking up to the sound of the ocean was priceless. The deck had great furniture for total relaxation.
The house had all the amenities we needed and the check in and out process was seamless. The owner has very detailed instructions that were easy to follow.
The cost is high, yes, but 100% worth it. Until next time!

Myself, my husband, my Mum, and our dogs recently stayed a couple of nights at this beautiful castle house and it was a dream! You really cannot find a better location- right on the beach (as in step out of the house and you're right there looking out at that beautiful ocean) and 5 mins walk to the local shops and restaurants. We loved walking over to the local bakery to get our coffees and pastries in the morning- we brought them back to eat on the porch while we watched the dogs play on the beach. Our dogs never wanted to leave- it was nearly impossible to get them in the car to go home! I would say my fave part of the house it without a doubt the turret where you can sit and relax and watch the sunset- so comfy I could stay there for hours! You will not regret staying at this wonderful house.

We loved our stay at the Castle! It turned out to be a very rainy time with high tides up to the house. We loved watching it come in and meeting new people as they walked in front of the house.
Elida was wonderful with my questions and helping us get prepared for a big storm that came in.
We can’t wait to stay at the castle again!

Who doesn't want to stay in a castle?
It was just as you dreamed. Waking up to the sounds of the waves, coffee on the spacious deck, sunsets sitting out front, toes in the sand. The location was ideal, the neighbors friendly, the visitors respectful and the locals welcoming. We are already looking at the calendar to plan another stay.

It’s a great location over the mountain from the city, super close to Muir Woods. The house is stocked with games, books and puzzles to pass the time along with strong internet if one has to stay connected.
There is a local market for food. But I would strongly encourage you to get provisions before coming over the mountain. The marker is expensive and has minimal selection. The host is very responsive and welcoming. Pack warm clothes for the evenings. The house is on a beach- it gets chilly at night. The pellet stove does a fabulous job heating the house, but the floors get chilly, so plan for that. Bring your own beach towels but other than that everything you need is there!!!!

I love this place. It's a fantastic beach house, right on the beach. House is clean and has everything you could ask for. A private beach and a spectacular deck. The perfect place to spend a week.

We've rented a number of vacation properties over the last year, and this was by far our favorite. The house is a perfect oceanfront property --- very beachy feel and well appointed with very comfortable beds (which we haven't always found to be the case with vacation rentals) and a private section of beach roped off right in front. And it's within five minutes walk of town which includes a little market and some wonderful restaurants. We never needed to drive anywhere after we parked the car. The only things I think a potential renter should consider are: 1) water usage limitations --- It wasn't an issue at all for us, since it was just our family of five, but I could see where it could have been an issue if we wanted to add day visitors to the mix. And 2) summer weekends draw crowds of people to Stinson and the property's location make it prime for beachgoers to set up right in front of the castle house which made us very thankful for the roped off section of beach. But the weekdays were incredibly quiet and serene. Overall, just a wonderful rental experience. We were already talking about coming back next summer before we had even left!

Myself husband and 3 kids (ages 3-8) all had a blast. The location and views from the house are awesome and unsurpassed as far as houses on Stinson beach go. We come every year and have stayed here multiple times. Elida is easy to work with and has updated the home nicely since our last stay. It just keeps getting better and we will surely return.

Enjoyed the stay. The two parking spots were great to have. The large deck facing the beach was the hit for all of us.
