La nostra cabina 1600 sf costruita su misura, che chiamiamo affettuosamente "The Fishing Shack", è stata completata nell'autunno del 2008. Un ulteriore monolocale da 350 sf è stato completato nel 2013. La proprietà si trova sul fiume Madison, noto per la sua maestosa bellezza e la pesca a mosca di classe mondiale. La cabina è a 40 minuti d'auto dall'ingresso del Parco Nazionale di Yellowstone ea circa un'ora dal punto caldo invernale, Big Sky Ski Resort. Con la sua posizione favolosa, i pavimenti in legno di recupero, la cucina su misura, 3 TV a schermo piatto, una stufa a legna Jotul e le finestre dal pavimento al soffitto, è un luogo di vacanza magico che sicuramente offrirà divertimento tutto l'anno.
La master suite ha un letto matrimoniale con materasso pillow top, Smart TV, porte francesi che si aprono su una vasca idromassaggio Bullfrog per 5 persone con vista sul fiume e una doccia di ghiaia su misura con doppi soffioni (incluso un soffione a pioggia). Al piano superiore ci sono due camere da letto, ognuna con letti a castello in tronchi (doppia nella parte superiore e regina in basso). Apri le finestre e lasciati addormentare dall'odore delle montagne e dal suono del fiume. Il soppalco ha un'accogliente area salotto, una terza TV con lettore DVD e il sistema Game Cube per i bambini (e i bambini a cuore). Direttamente sul fiume, troverai una grande buca per il fuoco perfetta per stare al caldo e fare s'mores mentre guardi i pescatori della tua famiglia catturare quel grande marrone a pochi passi di distanza.
La nostra cabina si trova a 30 minuti da Ennis e 35 minuti dall'ingresso ovest del Parco Nazionale di Yellowstone. È situato in un'accogliente comunità residenziale con circa altre sei case e deliziosi vicini. Si trova dall'altra parte del fiume rispetto a un campeggio Forest Service ea pochi passi dal famoso Grizzly Bar & Grill (è necessario assaggiare la loro deliziosa selezione di vini).
La nostra posizione è perfetta per tutto l'anno divertimento e avventura nel Montana. We enjoyed 13 nights at this beautiful cabin on the river. There were 4 adults and our 4 year old granddaughter on the trip. Many of the previous reviews mention specifics about the cabin. Our favorites were the hot tub, firepit, sitting on the deck and fishing the river in front of the cabin. We appreciated the layout of the cabin and how comfortable the beds and sofa were. The greatest compliment I can give is that we have booked it again next fall.

The house is beautiful and being on the river is awesome. The owner of the house is very easy to get a hold of and answer any questions. Probably will stay here again next yr or the year after with our southern family

We stay here and visited Yellowstone - Ennis, Cameron and Virginia City before going to Hardin. Wonderful, the place was clean, beautiful and comfortable. Be careful on steps coming into the home - if you are carrying anything or if it is wet - we loved being there!

Lovely property. The location was great for exploration. We spent many hours on the back deck, in the hot tub and in the river. The kitchen is well outfitted. Beds were comfortable. Some dust on fans and ledges and the bushes around the fire pit were overgrown. Nothing that would prevent us from returning to this very relaxing home. The owner is VERY responsive. We’ll be back!

What an amazing house! We loved eating dinner on the deck overlooking the Madison River every night. Barb was super helpful and Dave also reached out to check on us. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Our stay at the fishing shack was amazing. Right on the river. Awesome deck to hang out on staring right at the water. Great location btw Ennis and West Yellowstone.

This is an amazingly beautiful property despite the few bumps we had. Be sure to make reservations at the Grizzly Bar and Grill ahead of visit. Despite my efforts I was unsuccessful at making reservations for our party of 5 or 8 once more family joined even a month and again 2 weeks in advance.
Due to the unseasonably hot temps the area was experiencing we didn’t get to enjoy the fire pit. It was great watching the fisherman fly fishing and the a large buck appear out of the woods across the river with campers all around. The home is quite lovely and I recommend anyone that wants to enjoy the area in a beautiful quiet setting to check this one out. We didn’t see as much wildlife as we understand is in the area, but again believe that has to due with the heat. Luckily we had brought a large box fan which helped cool the inside of the cabin.
A few issues we ran into besides no dishwasher (which the owner was quickly trying to correct, but required ordering parts so unfortunately didn’t work during our stay) that I believe were probably rare: many insects were inside the main house upon arrival - we assume due to the excessive heat the area was experiencing but also noticed some holes in multiple window screens. Insects seem to converge at windows around 7am and 7pm heavier than other times of day. Cabin has ‘soft water’ so use less shampoo when showering. Watch your step when exiting your car and going down the 3 steps as they slant and you can easily lose your footing.

Very nice clean cabin on the Madison River. Plenty of room for large families. Views nearby were incredible. Owner Dave was extremely pleasant and great to deal with. Loved the hot tub. Our sons enjoyed their first time at fly-fishing. Only fallback was the flying bugs probably due to river and grass/weeds nearby so bug spray is definitely needed. Many thanks to Dave for a beautiful trip to Montana especially Yellowstone.

My 4 grown children and 3 grandchildren plus myself stayed for 9 great days. The house is very well furnished and comfortable. It accomodated our family well. Many family games are provided. Pantry may be well stocked by unused groceries from previous visitors.

We were here to visit Yellowstone, and while the entrance is about 35 minutes away, it was so nice to stay in such a lovely cabin. After a full day of hiking and seeing the sights, we enjoyed having such a great “home base” to relax in, take a quick soak in the hot tub, and cook a homemade meal after two weeks on the road. Highly recommend.

This cabin was amazing and had everything we needed plus some. The proximity to the river made this place even more special. The owners were very responsive and helpful. We were wanting something quiet but close enough to the amenities of a small town and this fit perfectly!

Beautiful property, wonderful accommodations. We loved our stay. The park was great but my favorite day was when it rained and we stayed in the house. The birds around and and the river are amazing! If there was a negative, it was the mosquitoes, but a little repellant or skin-so-soft does the trick!

This property is the place to be in Montana. Close enough to Yellowstone but far enough away from the tourists. But if you want there us a bar restaurant at the end of the long driveway.
Georgeous home right on the water. From the deck we have seen foxes osprey and tons of other wildlife. The scenery of the river and forest and nearby mountains was majestic.
The owner checked with us via text to see if all was well. It was perfect!
I highly recommend you stay here if you are interested in the area.
The owner left a cooler and binoculars to use and really tried to think of everything you would need while staying there as a guest!
These folks know how to host!

It was absolutely wonderful! Matter fact I had barely got home before I was checking to see if this beautiful cabin would be available August! EVERYTHING was perfect. The owner made sure everything was going smoothly! A ten plus!

The Fishing Shack was the perfect base camp for our Yellowstone adventure!!! The setting was absolutely breathtaking and the house was fabulous! It is in between 2 super cute towns and was super easy to find!!! Highly recommend for groups and extended families! Thanks for sharing this awesome place!!!

The view of the Madison River from the cabin is absolutely amazing. The cabin is in an a remote area so plan on bringing in all your food. There is a cute, but pricey, restaurant within walking distance but no easy grocery store run. The quirky things were the barn doors that didn't work so there was no privacy in the master bathroom and the bunks in the upstairs bedroom are supported by some really cool looking tree trunks, but if you have to get up in the night, you have to watch out for branches poking out that can jab you. Other than that, this cabin is great!

We just finished our stay here at the Fishing Shack, & I was so impressed with the house. The pictures on the listing do not do this house justice because it was so quaint and the view was breathtaking! All the rooms had super comfy beds, the kitchen was well stocked for cooking, the hot tub was a big hit with my littles, and the couch in the living room was perfect with a spectacular view!We enjoyed every morning and evening sitting out on the deck and taking in nature and time with the family! It was a perfect week, with perfect weather at a beautiful place!

This home and property are absolutely fantastic. We had the best time and found true serenity at this cabin. The river was tranquil. The home was beautiful. The location was convenient. We had to convince our kids to leave each day so we could explore Yellowstone during our stay! They honestly didn’t want to leave! The bunk beds were exciting for them and the landscape meant lots to explore. We loved dipping our feet in the river after a long day of hiking and then relaxing in the hot tub. All the amenities you could hope for and more. We truly loved our stay!

Staying at Fishing Shack was such wonderful experience! We highly recommend this property and location. It's a beautiful cabin and felt like such a treat for our family. Dave and Heather were wonderful hosts. Their recommendations for the area are spot on. We loved brunch at the Campfire Lodge, watching the fly fisherman on the river, Yellowstone Park and the Grizzzly Bar and Grill. We hope to return for another trip in the future. Thank you!

The cabin worked just perfect for our family of 4, my parents and adult brother. The separate studio was great for him and we were all very comfortable in the main house. The view of the river is spectacular and my husband thoroughly enjoyed being able to fish from the bank right at the house!! The house was clean and beautiful! Zero complaints and hope to come back someday.

We really had a great time in the cabin. It was so peaceful and beautiful in the mornings. Then in the evenings the stars were absolutely gorgeous. Would like to come back and enjoy the beauty of this place.

We REALLY loved our stay. My fly-fishing husband's eyes lit up when we walked in. The location and home are beautiful. We definitely plan to come back. A couple of notes -- as the owner advised -- you will need to stop in West Yellowstone (40 min.) or Ennis (30 min.) to grab groceries. There is not much around the home. I would highly recommend The Grizzly Bar & Grill if it's open and be sure to make reservations.

Fishing Shack is at or near the top of not only rentals I have stayed in but one of the best desinged and located places I have been. checks the boxes for clean and comfortable and well equipped then blows away standards for design and location. The trade off for it's distance from West Entrance was more than worth it!! (about 35 mins on very good roads well taken care of in bad weahter).. We loved it!!
