What a beautiful setting and home! Our 3 young adult children had their own spaces and there was excellent communal space as well. The master bedroom is gorgeous. The host was very helpful and we really enjoyed our stay!

This was the perfect property for my family of four. The location was perfect for accessing everything Acadia has to offer. Trails, carriage roads, and Northeast Harbor were within minutes of a drive, and Bar Harbor was easy to get to. The house was comfortable with beautiful views of the coast throughout. The beds were extremely comfortable and the water pressure in the showers were amazing! Our kids loved walking down to the rock beach and searching for sea glass, crabs, shells, and anything else they could find. We truly enjoyed our stay. Thank you, Mike! We will be back.

I cannot add much to the other reviews! The location is excellent and gave us easy access to Acadia national park as well as Bar Harbor, and Northeast Harbor. The house has large windows that let in a lot of natural light. The homeowner provides outdoor seating so you can enjoy the spectacular views. We enjoyed our stay!

We loved our stay at Seal Repose; it was even better than the photos! The house was so big, bright and comfortable; it had everything we could possibly need! The water views from the house/yard were incredible and it was so nice to have our own private beach! We enjoyed sitting on the chairs near the beach - just gazing at the water, listening the soft sounds of the sea and walking on the rocks - so much that we didn’t even want to go anywhere! It was our own little slice of Maine and it was just what we needed!! I’m a photographer so I was thrilled to find such beautiful scenery right in the backyard! The house is fairly close to the street, but we barely ever heard any traffic. And to be honest, there really didn’t seem to be much traffic. We did some hiking and 2 of our favorite scenic trails that were close to the house were the Little Harbor Brook Trail and the Little Long Pond Trail. We also liked that the house was close to Acadia National Park and away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Habor, but close enough that it only took us 15-20 mins to get there. And Northeast Harbor (aka the quiet side) is close so we went there several times and picked up dinner. (The Colonel’s Restaurant and Bakery is our new favorite!) Mike (the owner) contacted us a few times, just to ensure that all was okay. We had no problems when we were there and didn’t need to contact him; it was great to know he was available if we did.
