Great house nice layout close to ocean

We really enjoyed our stay here. Plenty of space, comfy beds and good furnishings. The kitchen was stand-out in just how well stocked it was with tools for cooking. I rated check-in at only 4 stars as the heater was off when we checked in and it took a while to figure out how to operate the remote - had to dig out a manual rather than there being an instructions note or card near or on the remote. Remote for the downstairs bedroom header had dead batteries so we cannibalized those out of an alarm clock and were fine. It's not clear from the listing that the heat comes from the in-wall units so it was a bit confusing as we saw air registers/vents along the floor in the various rooms so we spent time hunting for a central air controller to get he place warmed up. Clarifying all of this in the welcome instructions email or on in on a welcome sheet left inside would be helpful. There is not a welcome guide upon check-in other than a card with wifi info and stack of maps and pamphlets outlining local attractions. There is a handy check-out guide. The view of the ocean from across the street is nice but at night there is a very bright street lamp right across from the big view windows in the living room that is a bit aggressive. That said, the house is priced well compared to other houses with ocean front views. The steps down to the beach are right there and make it easy to get down to the water.

House was perfect for quick walk across street to public beach and close to amenities. Neighborhood clean. Fantastic beach views from both levels due to being on a corner lot. The doorknob to upstairs deck kept falling off and downstairs shower head broke off, probably normal wear and tear. The blinds are white cotton so if you enjoy early morning brught sunlight waking up (6a.m.), you will get it. We prefer to sleep in on vacation and this was the only drawback. I would rent again! Bright and cheerful place.

This home was very clean and even more spacious than the pictures showed online. We loved the balcony upstairs! The sunsets were gorgeous! And Pebble beach was fun to visit right across the street. The house was located jn a great part of town and close to everything we needed. This time it was just us but next time we’ll bring the kids!

This was our second stay in this houuse and it really feels like home here. I just wished we could access the TV in the 2 bedrooms. We all had to stay in the livingroom to watch our fav shows. Other than that we will always come back and stay again in this homey vrbo.

We came to relax and walk on the beach. It was very clean and well stocked with everything we would need. We will stay here again. Really enjoyed ourselves.

This was our first VRBO rental and it couldn’t have been better. A clean and welcoming home in a fabulous location. Every amenity is there - laundry, kitchen, etc. There’s so much to see from the beautiful coast to the stunning redwoods and having a cozy place to come back to and unwind is just priceless. We hope to be back someday for more North Coast adventures.

We absolutely loved our stay. So close to many great state parks. Enjoyed exploring redwoods. We spent our mornings in the tide pools across the street. The house was very nice and spacious for our family. Would stay again for sure!

The house was perfect for our family's time in the area. It's close to Jedidiah Smith State Park, and within driving distance to the other parks and attractions. We enjoyed being across the street from Pebble Beach, which is amazing for tide pooling. House is very clean and has everything you need for an extended stay.

Nice location, Biiiig house close to the beach and Redwoods

This property was just across the road from the beach & a short drive to see redwoods. It was clean and the kitchen as well stocked with pots/pans etc. We enjoyed walking/biking in Crescent City too. Easy to get around.

We loved our stay here! It was so much better than we imagined. The views, especially from the upstairs, were phenomenal. The ocean, the lighthouse, beautiful sunsets! The house was much roomier than we expected, plenty of space for the family to spread out. Also loved having a garage. The kitchen was very well stocked and even had a few pantry staples like oil. We were surprised to find 3 tvs in the house. The living room tv had a roku which was perfect. Bring another streaming device if expecting to watch anything in a bedroom. Loved having a washer/dryer during the middle of a long road trip. There is a rocky beach accessed right across the street, which was amazing for sunset walks and exploring tide pool creatures. We loved the gorgeous sandy Crescent Beach just a 5 minute drive away. The nearness of the towering redwoods was perfect too. Crescent City was a perfect base for exploring and relaxing along the redwood coast while also having access to good restaurants, grocery stores, and gas stations. We loved the escaping the July heat to the cool weather and ocean breezes. This has been a favorite stay and we’d love to return some day! We recommend it to everyone!

An amazing 4 days in this beautiful home. We didn't want to leave. When you're not on the beach you can still enjoy panoramic ocean views from large windows in living room and upstairs master . Great location. Close to Pebble Beach ....yet more private. Hope to come back again soon!

Our six family members enjoyed this VERY CLEAN and spacious home for three nights. Everyone wanted to stay in the upstairs master suite with the balcony! When you opened the balcony doors, you could hear the ocean waves crashing….the best possible sleep sounds!

This house is right across from the beach, which is really nice. And it's close to several restaurants in Crescent City, along with being close to the Redwood Forest. It's very clean and well organized, offering lots of stuff you might forget (iron, ironing board, washer/dryer, laundry detergent, blow dryer, curling iron, lots of spices for use in the kitchen). The bed was very comfortable! Although the manager came to our rescue within 30 minutes, it was very frustrating trying to get into the house because the lockbox with the key was stuck, requiring the manager to use a pocket knife to finally get it open. If we weren't so tired from our travel, it probably wouldn't have been as bothersome. I wish I could visit this area in July, when it would be much warmer and less rainy so that I could be more adventurous on the hiking trails and beach.

Lots of room.! Was a little disappointed that there was a house across the street in front of the ocean but the view from the upstairs bedroom was beautiful!! Comfortable beds! And a garage was a definite plus. We really enjoyed our stay and Diane was great to work with. Would definitely stay again!
